3 day gorilla tracking
Had a great experience with a great guide. Paul speaks great English and is very knowledgeable about the country, wildlife the tours, etc... He made sure I was comfortable and well fed the whole way. The tracking was everything I was looking to see and experience.

Bwindi National Park
I travelled with Inter-Tropical Tours to Bwindi national park in July 2013. I was collected in Masaka by Paul. It was just myself on the tour. The experience of Bwindi NP and seeing 9 out of 12 gorillas in one famly was truly unforgettable.
Paul was an excellent tour guide and we stopped many times along the way for photos. At the end of teh tour he dropped me to the border with Rwanda and helped me through all the various entrance and exit procedure when leaving one country and enterring another.
I would highly recommend this company.

Why use another tour operator when you can experience the best - Paul and Inter-tropical Tours!
When I wanted to tour Uganda with my young son, a trusted friend suggested I call Paul Nangai at Inter-tropical Tours and Travel. We spent 2 weeks with Paul, touring his beautiful country, and it was one trip that my son and I will never forget. Through phone calls and emails, Paul spent a great deal of time planning for the perfect trip in the months leading up to our arrival in Kampala. Once in Uganda, Paul met us at the airport and personally took care of every detail of our stay. We toured the Nile River, hiked to Murchison Falls, went on a chimpanzee safari and a couple of big game safaris. We saw so many animals, from very large crocodiles, hippos and elephants to very small, colorful birds and absolutely everything in between. It was all so perfect! Ugandans are the most gracious people and we felt at home there. The lodges where we stayed ranged from simple and eco-friendly to extremely high end and we loved each one - all were unique. The food was amazing; Paul would often stop and buy different foods for us to try. I loved the grilled Nile perch. One of my son's favorite mornings included a ferry trip. He had never experienced a river crossing by ferry and loved the fact that Paul drove the van right onto the boat. Paul and I would spend evenings talking about his country, it's people and the animals that are a part of every day life for Ugandans. During those 2 weeks, we grew to love Uganda. It will always be special to both my son and me. Thank you, Paul, for teaching us about your country and the beautiful people who call it home. When my son is old enough, I will be returning to Uganda to take him on a mountain gorilla safari and I wouldn't dream of asking anyone other that you to plan the safari for me and to accompany us.

This company enabled me to see the rich diversity of Uganda in warm, well-informed and active tours.
I did several tours with Paul Nangai, company owner and each was well-planned, well-paced and informative. He knows what various clients want and has a sense of how to deliver a well-crafted experience that fits the desires of the client. I learned a lot about Uganda from him and his colleagues. Trips included Murchison Falls with its unforgettable river cruise up the Nile past charging crocodiles and hippos and grazing elephants; Bwindi National Park where local guides take small groups into the forest to visit gorilla groups, to Mburo Lake park where I had sought somewhere to ride horseback and to walk amongst game, a great experience which included falling off the horse due to a warthog siting, by the horse. Mostly I treasured the interactions with Paul and his colleagues on many aspects of Ugandan life--animal and human--and over the time I lived in and visited Uganda saw him cater effectively to clients of various backgrounds, budgets and desires, devising unique itineraries that served first-time visitors to Uganda as well as African experts. Similarly, he arranges accommodations that respond to the style, budget and wishes of the client: Ugandan game lodging varies from wildly expensive to basic and sometimes there is not a great choice. I would recommend the simpler places. Food for tourists and well-off Ugandans is richly diverse with tilapia and Nile perch, Indian-influenced cuisine and Ugandan matoka and other local dishes available in many places. You can insist upon Italian, but why bother, although some places make very good pizza. The guides are the best--warm, informative, well-versed and open. I liked the fact this is a Ugandan-owned business and intend to continue to recommend and use it. I feel a special connection with Uganda as a result of the trips I took with this company.
