A Once-in-a-Lifetime Safari Adventure with Plex Africa Safari and guide Kilian
My recent safari experience was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife encounters, and—most importantly—our phenomenal guide, Kilian. From start to finish, this journey felt like stepping into a nature documentary brought to life.
Kilian was an absolute treasure—knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply connected to the land. His storytelling skills brought the Neyrere Nationalpark to life, weaving together fascinating facts about the animals, their behaviors, and the ecosystem as a whole. Every question we asked was met with detailed answers that reflected his expertise and love for the wild.
The safari itself was perfectly organized, thanks to Plex Africa Safari. From the initial communication to the very last day, the team demonstrated outstanding professionalism. Every detail—from itinerary planning to logistics—was handled seamlessly, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. They were highly responsive to our questions before the trip and ensured that every aspect exceeded our expectations.
We encountered majestic lions lounging in the sun, towering giraffes grazing peacefully, elephants, crocodile, zebra, buffalo, monkey, many different birds etcetera....Each moment felt like magic, and Kilian with the our driver ensured we were always in the best position to take it all in without disturbing the animals.
What truly stood out was Kilian’s ability to create a personal connection with every member of our group. He tailored the experience to our interests, making us feel like explorers rather than tourists.
This safari wasn’t just a vacation—it was an unforgettable adventure, a chance to reconnect with the natural world, and an opportunity to learn from someone who truly embodies the spirit of conservation. Wow, what can I say. Simply perfectly organized, fantastic and with Kilian we got the best travel guide, also on a personal level. I can only recommend it to everyone. A unique experience that you will never forget. Even days later I still have no words to describe the impressions I gained. Anyone who has any reservations can confidently throw them overboard. We had an amazing experience on the safari organized by Plex Safari! The tour was well organized, and our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
The highlight was undoubtedly seeing a lion family up close. It was also incredibly exciting to watch a lion feeding on a freshly hunted prey – a raw and authentic moment we will never forget!
We also had a very good impression of Plex Safari as an operator. They responded quickly to all our questions beforehand, and the service was good from start to finish.
This was truly a day we will remember for the rest of our lives!

An unforgettable adventure filled with personal care, expert guidance, and magical wildlife moments!
From start to finish, this safari was flawlessly organized. Arranging the trip was quick and easy, with clear communication throughout. We were picked up early from our Zanzibar hotel and seamlessly transferred to the airport for a scenic flight in a small propeller plane to Nyerere National Park. This thrilling start set the tone for an incredible experience! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Dula, our skilled driver, and Jafari, our knowledgeable and fun guide.
Dula, the masterful driver
With 17 years of experience, including 2 in this region, Dula’s expertise was evident. He instinctively knew where to find wildlife and confidently navigated the terrain. His sharp instincts meant we often spotted animals before others, including rare species, making every moment exciting and rewarding.
Jafari, the lively guide
Jafari added a personal touch with his humor, passion, and deep knowledge—especially about birds. He tailored his commentary to our interests, turning every wildlife encounter into a memorable learning experience. From watching lions with their cubs to observing a solitary leopard, Jafari’s insights brought the wild to life.
A private and tranquil experience
Having a private jeep allowed us to explore the park at our own pace, often away from other groups. The vast, unspoiled beauty of Nyerere National Park made it feel like we had this wilderness to ourselves.
Comfort and luxury in the wild
The safari vehicle was spacious and well-equipped, perfect for long days in the bush. Meals were delicious and plentiful, with enough to satisfy even big appetites. Our stay at Selous Safari Lodge was equally outstanding—spacious, clean, and nestled in nature, complete with playful monkeys. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, ensuring our comfort throughout.
Diverse activities for a full experience
In addition to game drives, we enjoyed a fascinating walking safari with a charismatic bushman, who shared stories about plants, tracks, and traditional remedies. The serene boat safari at sunset was another highlight, offering stunning views and a peaceful close to the day.

For the price, this safari exceeded all expectations. Multi-day game drives, luxury accommodations, and personalized service made it an incredible deal compared to other operators.

What an amazing day at Mikumi national park xxx
What an amazing experience from start to end.
I was collected from My hotel on time with a well spoken guy.
Upon arriving at the airport, I was greeted and was told what I had to do and escorted to chk in for my flight and had a short wait before I boarded my flight which is a small 12 seated plane.
Then upon arriving at Mikumi I was shown my tour guide and I saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos and baboons plus others, then a nice hot meal before we had another hour or so seeing more amazing animals.
My flight back to Zanzibar and then my taxi ride back to my hotel.
I had an amazing day (yet it was a long day).

Amazing experience

Responsive and customer focused company providing a great safari experience!
What differentiated Plex from the other companies for us was their responsiveness during the booking process, also in the run-up to the safari starting and the transfer arrangements before and after. Eddy always provided the required information and reassurance exactly when we needed it, regarding all of the key arrangements.
When we arrived in Neyere we were met off the plane by the Guide (Omary) and Driver (Keresa) and the safari began almost immediately as we drove into the National Park and began to observe a wonderful array of animals. Omary was extremely knowledgeable regarding their identification and behaviour (which included the stunning birdlife). He was also flexible and adapted to what we wanted to see (this included the wonderful old Baobab trees that he knew I loved). He also has great observational skills and was able to identify highly camouflaged rare birds from a long distance (e.g. Nightjar).
We stayed at the Selous Safari Lodge which we would also highly recommend. The staff were fantastic and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed swimming in the pool. Breakfast and dinner were also of a high standard.
Overall we had a great experience with Plex and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people who are looking for a great African safari experience!
