Professional, reliable and friendly
5/5

We did a 2-l day Safari at Nyerere National Park, 1 day Game drive and 1 day boat tour on the rufiji river. The rufiji river is a bit overrated, nothing spectacular in my opinion. However the Game drive was amazing! Plex Safari are professional and reliable. They replied rapidly to my questions and the whole Safari was well organized.

The greatest adventure ever...
5/5

dear friends,

every since i was a little girl and read a book about Africa, it has been my dream to visit this fascinating continent, to discover and explore its people, and its wild and untamed nature.
when my girls became old enough to keep the precious memories we would make for their lifetime, we decided that now was the time to go and make dreams come true.
while researching, i received many offers. however one of them stood out: Mr Edward Makundi (i will call him Eddie from now) from Plex Africa not only shared an offer that was hard to resist, but he reached out to me personally. from the very beginning, i could feel his personal interest in our story, and his commitment to do everything he can to make every aspect of our dreams come true.
we felt so well taken care of. i had some special request, e.g. i wanted to experience different types of safari, and how it felt to sleep in a tent in midst of the wild. Eddie accommodated all our wishes.
ultimately, understanding that i was giving all i could - for my Baby girls - he went out of his way to make the realization of our dreams affordable even to me, as a single mom. i will be forever grateful to him.

what we experienced in Africa and what surprised and impressed us so much was how people connect with each other to make things happen, for us, whom they have never met before. people still live as and from the community, and we were immediately and so warmly welcomed to this community. we felt nothing but upendo... love all along.
so a friend of Eddies connected with a friend who connected with a friend who slept outside our resort on the first day of our safari trip, just to pick us up on time, at 5 a.m. and bring us to Zanzibar airport. i only realized that when one of the maasai guarding the resort got him out of the bushes.
from there, we were always taken care by lovely people who didn't know us. but we got to love them so much.
everything from the flight with a small chartered machine to the entire safari program was so well organized, smooth, and an adventure as only fairy tales could tell.

arrived in Nyerere National Park, we were welcomed by our lovely Lucy Ludamilla, whom we immediately adopted in our hearts, and who has since been my oldest Baby girl, and of course Ellie, the most gifted story teller of times.
we spent the most incredible day together, driving through the national park, listening to the stories of lion prides, zebras, giraffes and elephants, and crocodiles, as we encountered them in their natural habitat.
we reclined under an old tree and shared a hearty lunch prepared with love, by someone who didn't even know us, which we shared with the little birds and animals. sitting there, in the midst of the wild savanna, having been imparted the honor to be a guest in this vast kingdom of animals, surrounded by the sounds nature, gave us such an incredible feeling of peace, and made us aware what a gift it is to be alive, and to be able to share this moment, and tell this story.
on the following days, we went for a bush walk, then visited a local village, and in the evening, we went on a boat safari. we concluded the day dancing into the sunset.
the tented lodge we stayed welcomed us with immense love and fed us delicious food every time they saw us.
the tent itself was unlike anything i had ever experienced in my life. simple but luxurious, and the feeling of falling asleep in the midst of the bush and waking up in the bush was simply magic.

very impressive was our visit to the maasai boma on our last day. they included us in some of their day-to-day activities, like making fire, and dancing with them was another dream of mine come true.
my girl Lucy accompanied us all along the way, and not only took such good care of us, but also captured the countless incredible moments we lived. thanks to her, one of the drivers went looking for elephants for us on the second day, as the girls had so much wished to see them in their natural habitat. it was heartwarming to observe the elephants as they passed by us on the road, taking care of each other as a family.
when our safari was over after 3 days, and it was time for us to return to the beach in Zanzibar, the girls were so heavy hearted.
even greater was our joy when Eddie, who had organized our adventure from the time we were still at home in Vienna, made the long and tiresome trip to visit us in our resort in Zanzibar the following week.
we were so delighted to meet him in person, and excited to tell him how much we loved and appreciated all that he, Lucy, Ellie and his entire team and the tented lodge staff had done to make this Safari an unforgettable experience, exceeding all our dreams, hopes, and expectations.
even the day we left the island and had a layover in Dar Es Salaam, Lucy and Eddie waited several hours at the airport to welcome us and take us to our hotel for the night. with pride, my little daughter wore the Plex Africa T-Shirt Eddie had gifted her when he visited us in Zanzibar. nothing would make her happier than be part of this wonderful family.

seeing them once more was the last highlight of our amazing trip to this beautiful, vibrant, breathtaking continent called Africa.

to anyone dreaming of a true adventure in the wild - i can wholeheartedly advise: chose Plex Africa, and you will be in the best hands. they make sure to make all your dreams come true, and then some.

asanteni wapendwa wangu. kumbatio kubwa. hadi titakapotana tena. tunawapenda.

with all our love.

More than perfect!
5/5

Our trip with Plex Africa Safari was one of the best things we have ever experienced. We booked the 4-day tour to Nyerere National Park from Zanzibar. Even beforehand, contact with Edward was extremely friendly and competent. All of our questions were answered very quickly and comprehensively. We always had a good feeling. On the day of arrival, we were picked up on time and driven to the airport. Everything went smoothly. Shabani and Eugenio welcomed us on site. The two of them were absolutely the best! They were very funny and informative and gave us an unforgettable time. Thank you Shabani, thank you Eugenio! We can absolutely recommend booking with Plex Africa Safaris. The price was more than reasonable for the service!

Fantastic experience from beginning to end!
5/5

From the moment we booked all the way up until we landed back in Zanzibar, we had great service from Edward and his team. We booked the 2 day, 1 night fly in/fly out safari to Nyerere national park from Zanzibar. We were picked up from our hotel at the agreed time and whisked away to the airport for the short flight to Mtemere airstrip... what an awesome experience to land here! We were greeted upon arrival and started our game drive. We had a lot of fun driving around the national park and learning about all the animals, birds, trees etc. The guides seem to have good contact with each other, so we were able to see quite a lot of animals as other groups discovered them. The only animal we didn't see which was on our list was lions, so the only thing I would change next time is maybe do a longer safari to have a better chance. After the safari we were escorted back to the lodge and were treated with a great all well needed local dinner. The staff at the lodge were very attentive and catered well to our needs. The morning river cruise allowed us to see the hippos and crocs up close, and we witnessed a nice sunrise. The guide on the river safari was full of knowledge and we had a great time. Our guide from the safari the day before, Omary, showed us around his home village, where he went to school, the local markets, and of course some of the local treats. This was a very special experience to hear first hand about life growing up in this small village. We managed to fit a lot in the two days we booked, and can highly reccomend Edward at Plex Safaris to organise an experience of a lifetime!

Wonderful experience
5/5

What am amazing experience our 2 day safari was. Edward from Plex was great in responding really quickly to any questions I had, all the staff were so friendly and helpful from Morris who dropped and collected us to the airport, to our safari guide Jafari, our drivers Eugenio, G and captain Kasimi in the boat they all ensured we had the best experience. All arrangements were stress free and were seamless.
The safari day inside the park was one we’ll never forget, we saw Giraffes, Antelopes, Impalas, Warthogs, Wilderbeast, Zebras, Hippos , Crocodiles, Baboons and our favourite Elephants. Our driver Eugenio was fantastic at taking us off the main roads to have the best chance of seeing so many animals and Jafari our guide was very knowledgable and informative. All the food was delicious and drinks were provided on the jeep. We were met at 8.30am off the plane and were dropped at the Selous lodge at 6.30pm, it was a whole day driving vast distances around the park, and the scenery and animals were fantastic. The Selous lodge was lovely, with a pool so a wonderful place to unwind. All the staff again were so friendly and helpful. Day 2 Jafari picked us up again and we went on a boat safari seeing hippos, crocodiles, and lots of wonderful birds, followed by a village tour to get a feel of local life in Tanzania and a school visit with lots of wonderfully curious children keen to show us their English and counting skills.
We had such an amazing experience, the Plex staff really did do their utmost to ensure we had a fantastic time. We feel it was good value for money, its been the highlight of our holiday and an experience we’ll never forget. Thanks Plex!

Excellent
5/5

We made an unforgettable trip with Plex Africa Safaris!
In our case it was a 2-day and 1-night safari to Nyerere Park.
Everything was great, communication with Plex Africa Safari was via WhatsApp and at all times it was fluid and they responded quickly.
Special mention to our guide “Jafari”. An enthusiastic person who knows how to transmit his knowledge about the fauna, flora and local life.
Jafari made our safari very special.
Our driver Eugene took us around the national park in a very professional, pleasant and fun way too!
And “The Famous” Buba was our guide on the visit to the local village, thanks to him, the visit to the school will be unforgettable for us!!
(Please do not forget to bring school supplies, they will appreciate it very much)

Things to improve:
-In general the food (both on the safari and at the hotel) was very basic and without options, without variety, and just the right amount.
I say this because the safari is a “private safari” and these details are more of a low-cost safari.
-The changes, they changed the time of the return flight up to three times, and that generates stress, which is what you do not want on your vacation.

In short, Plex Africa Safaris has made our safari an unforgettable memory for life, (with small details to improve)

We want to thank the entire team at -Plex Africa Safari:
-Edward Makundi, Plex AS
-Eugene, driver
-The Famous Buba, local guide
-The gentleman from the safari boat (we laughed a lot with him)
-And especially Jafari, our guide for those two unforgettable days.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Raúl and Blanca

The team 9f plex safari was very helpful and sympatique. There were no issue or chamges of the programm. The accomodations were also in good quality, though the tented camp gives you a better feeling of the wild life. We had especially a night game, which was very exciting when you see the shining eyes of the animals in the night. We saw lakes full with shining crocodile and hippo eyes. An armed ranger was respobsible for our security. I recommend this extraordinary experience to all safari fans.

100% best operator.
5/5

Its 100% the best choice I made ( out of many other operators) to book at Plex. It was a very smooth booking procedure with immediate answer to all my questions. Edward, my contact person at Plex was alway available and coordinated everything perfectly. The hotel pick-up worked perfectly, the flight to Nyerere Airstrip (from Sansibar) was smooth and the game drive was incredible. Our guide Omal has so much knowledge and provided exciting details about the parc and the animals. We were very lucky to see Leopards which is very rare to see. Our driver, Ramadan was great and very professional. The Nyerere Tented Camp is an incredible accommodation to stay; great food, great and clean tents. We enjoyed the evening at the Camp and the Massai Bonfire.
The river tour next day was a great and relaxing experience, Agnerus our guide is an amazing guide and after the boardrooms he guided us thru a local village (Mloka) where we visited a primary school which was an amazing experience. He was always making sure we are fine.At the end of the day we had the chance to visit a Massai village; we learned so much about their way of life and also had also the chance to walk into a Boma (hut) and joined a typical Massai dance. Agnerus then finally made sure that we arrive safe at the Nyerere Airstrip for our flight back to Sansibar. All over all…it was amazing two days!!! I can highly and without any doubt recommend Plex Safari.
