Great experience
4/5

We booked a 7 night safari to Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli with our family of five.

All in all we had a fantastic week with our guide/driver Clinton, who was a very safe driver and positioned his car at the best spots for close encounters with wildlife. At the first game drive in Masai Mara we even spotted a leopard, which is the most difficult to find. Clinton advised us to change hotel in Nakuru, as the City Max is below standard according to the reviews. That was a good suggestion, the Buraha Zenoni was very clean and had a nice buffet spread. Miti Mingi Eco Camp (Masai Mara) was basic but clean and food was ok. In Amboseli we upgraded to the amazing, very luxurious Kibo safari camp but we heard Nyati (more basic, in the standard package) was also good.

The safari tour is great value for money, but I advise you to check and double check with Benson on arrangements made outside of the standard package, i.e. booking and payment of accommodation.

Logistics with other guests joining the car is also a bit of a challenge, especially if they have other plans than you.

Would have given 5 stars if logistics and bookings were flawless.

Nice travel agent. The people are very nice.
4/5

The service was excellent, except that we agreed to pick someone up at the airport for free and subsequently asked me for a fee. The price was cheap, the accommodation was mediocre and the overall value for money was good. Recommend it!

An Awsome Safari Experience
4/5

Despite having minor hiccups on travel arrangements i.e. changing vehicles and guides/drivers quite often due to logistics and shared vehicles, all other itemised arrangements were delivered accordingly.

Benson is my point of contact and the person who made all my 7N/8D Kenya Safari Tour arrangements

Prior to making any bookings, ask as much questions as possible in particular any additional charges for changes or extras you have requested that differs from the itinerary etc. And if affordable, get upgrades from the tented camps that can be very basic from stay to food provided. Even with upgraded accomdations, that doesn't mean creepy crawlies or lizards are at bay, so be prepared.

My comment to the accommodation is please have City Max Hotel in Lake Nakuru changed to another option as the hotel is less than desired despite food was very nice with generous portions and its staff were every accommodating and pleasant.

After numerous of vehicles and guides / drivers changed, James Muteti, is my favourite as he is not only knowledgeable but also very patience and attentive. All gudes and drivers that I had encountered, had definitely went the extra miles to ensure that we see as many wildlife as possible.

Kindly also ensure you have all the guides' / drivers' contacts during your trip to enable any communications when needed. Also please bear in mind if you are not on a private tour, then you are sharing vehicle or transport with other fellow tourists. Therefore please be mindful and be punctual as when you are late, you will also delay others.

That's what happened to me on 2 days, on both occasions some other tourists decided to retimed their own breakfast holding back their pickups resulting in me waiting 40 minutes for mine!! And all these delays resulted in us cutting back on time allocated for other things in the day or guides / drivers driving at high speed or rerouting to catch up on the time in addition to arriving very late at another destination on travel days. So at times the delays are not fault of the guides / drivers but are other inconsiderate tourists.

Many thanks to Benson, and all the guides/ drivers on my this trip, David, Kennedy, James, Gabriel, Eric and Kim in keeping me safe and making my safari experience an awesome one.

Value for money experience.
4/5

We had booked 7 days and 6 Night Masai Mara - Naivasha - Nakuru - Amboseli Safari. It was a standard package offered by Safari operators in Kenya in budget category. Communication with Benson was smooth, camps were basic and you get what you paid for. In our case, plan was changed a little bit, we were first taken to Naivasha and then to Masai Mara to suit economics of operator (since there were not enough people on first day for Masai Mara), this is something shouldn't have happened as we wanted to spend 31st evening watching sunset in lake Naivasha.

Camp/Stays Ratings:

Naivasha - 3/5 (Food was average for vegetarians)

Nakuru - 3.5/5 (Basic City Hotel with good food but no good wifi)

Masai Mara - 3.5/5 (Basic Facilities, good food)

Amboseli - 4/5 (Excellent and Spacious Camp).

We were 6 to 7 People in Mini Van ( Should have been strictly 6) and people would join and leave as per their itinerary. We were with guide Clinton and he did a good job.

I would recommend this agency, as our experience was good.

Safari in Kenya NP
4/5

We, a group of 8 family member went for 12 days (8 nights at National parks, 3 nights at Nairobi) with Tall Masai safari. Benson, the director of Tall Masai safari was with us most of the time including airport transfers upon arrival to Nairobi and return. It was little longer safari than average (Tsavo east and west, Amboseli, lake Naivasha, lake Nakuru, and Masai mara national parks), Benson was very helpful to customize our trip and booking hotels of our choice. The trip was went very well as planned—— during middle of our safari, Benson realized that the Land Cruiser we are riding last 4 days might not in good shape—— he immediately decided to replace the Jeep and brought a another car from Nairobi overnight without disrupting out safari. Benson, Erick, and Martin —-all are very sincere, respectful and put their best effort to provide us with great, once in a life time Kenya Jungle Safari expriences.

Great Safari experience without breaking the bank!
4/5

Benson communicated with us from the very beginning and accompanied us during most of the trip. He picked us and dropped us off to and from the airport. We had good driver but the jeep had issues. Benson realized this problem and arranged for new driver and jeep. We went on game drives, twice a day. At Masai Mara we spent two whole days at the Mara with a picnic lunch. It was definitely worth it since we were able to see the amazing migration of the wild beasts. We also saw leopards, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and even ostriches. He made arrangements for the hot air balloon ride which was simply an awesome experience! . Other than a small miscommunication, the trip was well organized and worth every penny! I recommend Tall Masai Safari for your trip and suggest to openly communicate with Benson your concerns and he’ll make every effort to meet your expectations. Great value for your money!

Good Budget Tour
4/5

This was my first time in Kenya, hence didn't knowvwhat to expect. But I
nenjoyed this tour. The accommodation and food were basic but I enjoyed it. Loved the Glamp Tents and the food was tasty.
The safari driver cum guide did hos best to show us as many animals as possible and I was glad to see the lions.
His radio had a technical issue towards the end and that was a downer although he tried his best to compensate for this.
We also did the Nasai village tour which we thought was very strange and didn't feel real but it was ok.
Special thank you to Benson for assisting me and my friend when we came back to Nairobi and riots had broken out. We couldn't go to the hotel we had booked previously and Benson very kindly helped us book another hotel in a safe area and transported us there safely.
Thank you Benson really appreciate you going out of your way to ensure we were safe.
Overall a good tour and I recommend this budget tour.

Flexible
4/5

I was able to arrange a safari tour on short notice (day before departure) with Tall Masai Safari. I appreciated Benson's flexibility in tailoring the itinerary to my needs and the guides/drivers were good and accommodations reasonable for the price paid. I just wish I would have been able to pay at least a part of the tour by card and also the itinerary was not completely followed as I was told day 3 would include a game tour of Nakuru park (time permitting) plus a Nakuru game drive on day 4 before going back to Nairobi. Though we arrived in Nakuru with a whole afternoon to spare on day 3, the guide told me only one Nakuru game drive was included, either on day 3 or 4. On Day 4, I was able to go on boat tour and Crescent Island on lake Naivasha but had to pay the entry fees for those on top of the safari tour price.
