Great service
It's was a great journey and the price of the package is very reasonable. The lodges I stay was fancy! The same package from other company is about $1k to $2k more, but not guarantee better service. It's a good choice agency.

Great Stuff
We booked our trip with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris as a group of 10 medical practitioners. We wanted to visit Kenya and Uganda. It was a nice experience that none of us would not wish to forget.
Simple and Enjoyable
My colleagues did a safari tour to Africa in January,it was a 10 day safari where we covered two countries;Uganda and Kenya. In Uganda it was so much fun, where we went to visit the mountain gorillas. With a good driver guide Charles in Uganda it was so great…..TRhanks to KWSS for a safari well organized.

Experience of a lifetime - anxious to come again!
My husband and I booked a safari and beach vacation with Kenya Walking Survivors Safari for two weeks in February, 2015. We honestly could not have dreamed for a better vacation! Everything from accommodations to food to the actual locations for the safari game drives was phenomenal. It far exceeded both me and my husbands expectations. Mr. Otieno was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries in a very timely manner, and this made planning out our trip a lot easier.
We also were able to organize a four day beach vacation at the end of our safari trip. Kenya Walking was able to organize for us a beautiful beach resort that was within our budget.
Thank you Mr. Otieno for organizing our dream safari and beach vacation. We could not have picked a better tour operator to trust this vacation with. We anxiously wait for our next visit to Kenya (and perhaps Gorilla trekking in Uganda?!) :)

Exceptional trip - worth every penny!
Kenya Walking Survivors Safari was the only tour operator that seemed to reply to both my inquiries and my wife's inquiries in a timely manner. We would send out an email and receive a reply within one day! It was also the most economical option. My wife and I were a little hesitant on sending a bank transfer to KWSS - since we are from North America, sending bank transfers is not all that common here. Mr. Otieno had convinced us to send a bank transfer because we would be saving an additional 5% if we were to do so. I can assure anyone reading this that sending over a bank transfer to KWSS is both safe and reliable, and that Mr. Otieno is indeed a real person!
Upon arriving to Kenya and starting our safari, we had our safari guide from KWSS waiting for us at our hotel first thing in the morning. We were fortunate to visit Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo West during the safari portion of our trip. All of our accommodations were wonderful (AA Mara Lodge, Kibo Luxury Safari Camp, etc) - everything from the rooms, location and food were excellent.
Throughout our trip Mr. Otieno kept in touch with us, making sure that our safari trip was going as planned. Whenever we had an issue or a question, he was literally only a phone call away and would always be available to talk. One thing I really admired about Mr. Otieno is his willingness to accommodate his clients, whenever and wherever they may be. An example of this would be near the end of our trip, when we had returned to Nairobi for our flight back home the next morning. We were unable to spot a rhino during our safari game drives (and we really wanted to see one), so he made sure to arrange another game drive (at Nairobi National park) on our last day in Kenya. And yes, we saw two Rhinos - both the white and black rhino!
Overall, I think KWSS is a very affordable, accommodating and reliable tour operator. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a dream vacation to Africa at an affordable price!

Can't Wait Until My Next Safari
Kenya Walking Safari provides an excellent experience for an excellent price. I am definitely a fan and will recommend this company to others who are traveling to Nairobi and who want a safari. From the start, we received prompt replies to our requests and confirmations of our reservations. On safari, the driver was knowledgeable and accommodating and made sure we had a good time. Plus, we got a free massage! We ran into others who had paid hundreds more for their safari. I plan to return to try the gorilla trekking in Uganda.

What an Amazing, Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience by Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris
Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris (KWSS) was a once in a lifetime experience.
While there are other high-end safari options out there, I felt that KWSS was the best bang-for-your-buck option out there. While going through the booking process, Mr. Otieno (the manager), was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had.
After being reassured of the itinerary for our 3-day Masai Mara safari, we went ahead and placed our deposit a few weeks before we were scheduled to be in Kenya.
Once we arrived in Nairobi from our long flight from the USA, we were picked up by KWSS - Clements (driver) and Sam (cook) - at our Bed and Breakfast. From there, we departed on the 6 hour journey to Masai Mara. Along the way, we stopped at various shops and a restaurant to grab souvenirs, food, and drinks. Clements and Sam knew all the answers to our questions as well.
Arriving at our camp before dinner, we had a short game drive in Masai Mara. Clements was quick to radio other drivers (might have been 7 other drivers) to see where all the animals were. He eventually caught wind of a lion and lioness together, so we headed there and saw these majestic animals.
While we were on the drive, Sam was busy at camp cooking up a delicious dinner meal. The dinner meals typically consisted of beef, a vegetable, bread, water, coffee and tea. While breakfast was usually a spanish omelet, juice, potatoes, coffee and tea. Sam’s cooking is amazing and kept us well nourished throughout the safari.
The following days consisted of more game drives where we went all over Masai Mara, close to the Tanzania border, the Mara River, and much more. All while passing thousands of zebras and wildebeests, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and more. There were times when I caught myself smiling from how amazing this experience was.
Book with the confidence knowing that you will have an amazing time. I cannot recommend Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris enough.

Best and most economical safari you can book
My husband and I went on a 13 day safari with Kenya Walking Survivor’s and we were extremely happy with every aspect of the trip. As others have stated, I too was leery about wiring so much money to an unknown person in Kenya, but rest assured, Mr. Otieno is very ethical and will go to all lengths to make your trip spectacular. Our plane arrived and departed in the wee hours of the night and he provided transportation each time. We had such a great guide (Ochieng) who was focused on providing us with the best views and photos of all of the animals. Not only was he the first to spot the animals, we were finished viewing them before other vans came upon the same viewing spot. We were on our way to another spotting by the time the competitor’s guides came along. He was very knowledgeable too about all of the animals and the country of Kenya. Our accommodations were top of the line. I know with Kenya Walking, you can choose to tent it, but we chose the tented camps and lodges which were very luxurious. We literally had linen table clothes and a 5 course meal out in the middle of the Serengeti when we went to Tanzania. Mr. Otieno is very accessible too. When we were leaving, we accidentally left our cameral in the drop-off car. I had to call Mr. Otieno at 2:30 AM and he answered and called the driver to return to the airport with our camera. He couldn’t be more attentive to his clients. The food at all of our lodges and tented camps included a wide variety of Western food and some African selections. It was delicious. They will provide all the bottled water for you on your safari. You only have to purchase alcoholic or soft drinks, if you choose those. He really listens to the clients’ feedback too because there was one hotel in Naivasha that we mentioned we didn’t like to our guide and before the end of our trip, the word got back to Mr. Otieno and he had already changed the Chester hotel to another tented camp for that location. I cannot stress enough how nice these tented campsites are. It was like we were the rich and famous on a safari. He said he negotiates rates, so he can get them much cheaper than if the customer books it directly. I was afraid since his rates were lower than the other companies that I would get subpar experience, but that wasn’t the case at all. Overall, I would rate our experience as 5+++! Since we had 13 days for our trip, the only thing I would do differently is I think I would choose to go see the gorillas. I heard from other people along the way that it was super cool to see them. We met the guide who specializes in those tours and his name is Martin. He was great too, although we only had him drive us back from the border to Nairobi. You can’t go wrong with this company.
