Experience of a lifetime!
5/5

I went with Kenya Walking Survivors safaris on a 12-day safari trip through Kenya and had one of my life's greatest experiences. We drove to visit Tsavo east and west, Amboseli, lake Nakuru, lake Naivasha, lake Bogoria and last but not least Maasai Mara. Everything from pick-up to park visits to drop off went so smoothly and the trip was very well planned by the company. The lodges and hotels I stayed at had good standard, good food, friendly staff (Voi lodge is absolutely amazing) and Ngulia safari lodge even had a spectacular leopard baiting in the evening. My guide, Antony, I simply cannot thank enough. I am very interested in birdwatching and together we managed to find and identify over 150 different bird species and also had great sightings of lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo and so much more. Antony is very skilled, experienced, service minded, knows a lot about each and every species of animal and adapts the safari after the needs of his guests. I couldn't have asked for a better guide and I can highly recommend him to anyone who wants to see Kenya and also to all birdwatchers out there. Also I would like to that mr. Otieno for being so quick at replying on emails and answering all my one million questions. I choose Kenya walking survivors because they had a great variety of safaris to choose from, very good prices and seemed professional and I will never regret that choice.

Thank you for giving me wonderful memories and I will see you next time I'm in Kenya

a lifetime expereince
5/5

My two week safari trip in Kenya covered 2,775 km. My guide/driver Anthony was courteous, polite and very knowledgeable about what he was doing. He had a keen eye and could spot animals even when he was driving. I got a chance to see all big 5 animals during the trip. His radio was on all the time during a game-drive so the newest information on animal whereabouts was delivered live. Foods were good. All lodging provided was decent except one in Lake Naivasha. One regret was that the vehicle, a Toyota van, was unable to handle all road conditions. It had to be rescued once and pushed a couple of times in Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Incredible experience!
5/5

We went on an 11 day Kenya safari and Zanzibar trip. We visited Masai Mara, lake Navaisha and Amboseli. The organisation of the trip was great. We had a fantastic guide/driver Sammy who helped us to see the most amazing animals! Food and accomodation were excellent! Our accomodation in Zanzibar was stunning, right on the beach and was a great way to end the trip! Thank you to Mr Otieno and the team!

Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris organized our trip perfectly!
5/5

From the beginning OT from Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris was very friendly, flexible and fast. He helped us with our itinerary and choosing the perfect accommodations. And he helped us staying within the budget we had. With even at one point offering us more than we paid for. I was really happy with him as he communicated and helped us greatly. This felt very reassuring.

But also when our trip started it was perfect. Everything went completely as planned and as OT had promised. We were picked up by a driver who brought us to the Hotel. OT himself came to meet us there and confirm everything another time but then face to face. It was great to meet him in person. Friendly , enthusiastic but very on top of everything. We emailed, of course, some time and then it is nice to see him in person.

But also the driver/guide was great. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything we had questions about. What we really appreciated was that sometimes he did not know something and then he also said it instead of telling us something which he was not sure of. And also he had respect for wildlife. Not coming too close and all. Or turning the motor off and the radio when we were stopping to look at the wildlife and make beautiful pictures. So we could really experience and enjoy the silence and the sounds of the animals.

We had a great trip! And I recommend Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris to everybody!

Everything was very well-organized, safari was fantastic!
5/5

I had a very good experience with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris. Airport pickup was fast and smooth. It was my first time in Kenya so it's always a little stressful not knowing what to expect. Before we drove away from the airport, OT, the owner of KWSS, called to welcome me in Kenya.
I stayed for 4 days in Nairobi (business meetings) and OT offered to join me one night to eat in one of the most well known local restaurants downtown Nairobi. A great place I would have missed if it wasn't for him.
After my stay in Nairobi I flew to the Masai Mara for a 4 day Safari. What an amazing trip, everything was so perfect, the lodges, our jeep and of course our guide. He was very experienced, knew so much about the nature and culture of the Masai Mara area and was a very very good driver. Last but not least, the wildlife sightings were fantastic, more and better than I hoped for.
Kenya and its people stole my heart, thanks to OT and his crew!

Reliable tour operator; great overall experience
5/5

We asked Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris to arrange a hotel and conference room in Nairobi for 3 days, followed by a 4 day Masai Mara fly-in safari. The trip was well organised and the owner, OT, was extremely helpful. The safari was amazing. The driver/guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a great time. We saw all the big cats, many elephants and a great variety of antelope species. The scenery was stunning. The flights, transfers and everything else went very smooth. And all that for a very competitive price. Going on safari with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris was a great overall experience.

Excellent Experience, Best Guide in the World
5/5

My husband and I booked a Safari + extension to Zanzibar trip and everything went very well. We were received by Mr. Otieno in the very first day when everything about the program was explained.
The major plus goes to Samuel, our guide, that was excellent. He knew a lot about the wildlife and was very friendly and funny.
In Zanzibar everything smoothly as well.
Very good hotels apart from just one night, which was overcomed by the rest of the entire amazing experience.

Making our hobeymoin trip unforgettable with their 5 stars service!
5/5

My husband and me had a 14 days tour with Kenya walking as our honeymoon trip,, their package price comes with very good value and hence they are highly recommended. Our guide Anthony is particular impressive with his service and professionalism, he is always caring and attentive. We were able to see the big 5 in the first few days of our trip and we were able to take many good and close shots of the animals, our guide is especially patience to help us to seek out the wild animals like zebra, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards..etc Also the accommodation arranged by this company was very good, all the hotels and lodges we stayed are 5 stars hotels which everyone of them comes with special features. We will definitely choose Kenya walking again when we come back go Kenya for another visit.

Great (second) safari trip with KWSS - highly recommended!
5/5

This was my second safari trip organized with KWSS Ltd. The trip was three days, two nights, and Mr. Otieno and his team managed to accommodate my schedule perfectly, and to customize the itinerary to visit two parks, Amboseli and Tsavo West. We were guided by Benson, who had great knowledge of the parks and animals, and we managed to see quite a lot of fauna. Finally, accommodation was great, in a lodge facing Mt. Kilimanjaro (in Amboseli) and a hotel structure in Tsavo that was straight into the park. I would definitely travel again with KWSS due to the much better price compared to the competition, and the high quality of service offered.

Most amazing trip of my Life
5/5

I randomly picked Kenya walking Survivors Safari and Wow, they were just wonderful. I was there from 17/24th May. Even though I was the only guest,Mr Otieno ensured that trip went on. Visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha. It was just amazing. Saw the big five only regret was could not see the fastest animal the Cheetah. Trip was organised flawlessly by Mr. Otieno. One great thing about Mr. Otieno is that he is very prompt in replying your mails. Its gives you a lot of confidence.
I will come back again and Mr. Otieno is my man. David the Driver was amazing and so is Mr. Som the cook.
Something for the Indian Travellers
Do not follow the blogs of western people blindly.regarding Safaris in Africa
1. For seven days trip two jeans or 3 shorts is fine
2. 4/5 Full sleeves T shirt is more then enough
3. Mosquito repellent is must
4. Food is not a problem at all, even for vegetarians
5. Drink only Bottle water
6. Its like any wildlife safari in India.
7. Prepare for long drives
8. Roads are really good except the approach road to Masai Mara ( 65kms ).
9. Balloon Safari is good but worth it during the great migration
10. Ask for local guide for nairobi city tour. Incase you have to go alone. take minimum cash, no camera, No cards, behave normal, avoid eye contact with anyone, behave busy when some one approaches you. remember there are lot of Indians in nairobi.
11. Its lot cleaner then India. People do not spit or urinate on roads. Kenya is just Magical.
12. There is no ISIS or Al Shabab

Thank you Kenya walking Survivors Safari and Mr,Otieno for making this trip so memorable.
