Very professional and committed. Approaching the customer and taking their interests fully into acco
5/5

For our small family (parents and son) the traditional safari was a very positive experience for our lives. It was not just looking at the diverse wildlife of Botswana, it was learning every day. Distinguishing between males and females of the same species, as well as learning which tracks belong to which animal, inspired us and sharpened our eye for spotting the animals that were camouflaged in the vegetation after a certain time. The cell camp as well as the catering (kitchen and service) was well prepared and provided us with a quality in the bush that was surprisingly great and complete. However, for the sake of my back, I will book a wider and more comfortable mattress for the next safari.

:-)

Holiday of a Lifetime. Frank, our guide, was very professional, knowledgeable and great fun.
I booked the safari on-line and found the process very straight-forward. The trip was great value for money.
The camps were always very clean and tidy and the food was amazing.
Had a fantastic time Frank, hope to see you again soon!

Best Mobile Bush Camping experience and successful Game Drives everyday!
5/5

This was my girlfriend's and my third stop on our five week African tour. We enjoyed our previous tours and game drives, yet this is my most memorable because it was very different to our previous experiences in Tanzania and Namibia. My girlfriend did the planning with Frank, and once we arrived in Botswana and saw Frank, he had a huge, warm smile, I felt so welcomed! We were spoiled by Frank and his team; our every possible need was thought of and delivered before we even asked. Every member of the team catered to us with courtesy and respect. We always felt safe and comfortable; this team went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.

The efficiency of this team although each member had a specific role, they collectively did camp set up and break down. In addition to Frank and July, the other two other team members treated us two 'mature' ladies as princesses.
Each morning we had water delivered to our tent for our morning care, after which we walked to the dining tent for breakfast. My fresh brewed coffee warming by the fire. After breakfast we would leave for our game drive. During our game drives, Frank sought out the best viewing and lighting for optimum photo opportunity. We appreciated Frank being a photographer; we got some cool pictures.
Each day we had morning and afternoon tea. I have to admit, I ate even though I wasn't hungry. July, our chef made delicious food, which was irresistible, especially his carrot cake and chocolate cake, baked outdoors! I have a food allergy which Frank was mindful of and ensured all meals were safe for my consumption.

Once we returned to camp for lunch, cool refreshing drinks were brought to us. Before setting out for the afternoon game drive, we were served afternoon tea. Imagine, enjoying afternoon tea at the river bank while observing elephant after elephant and families of elephants drinking and eating. It doesn't get better than that!

During the game drives, Frank shared his extensive knowledge of not only animals and birds, but also the vegetation. A close encounter with an elephant made me panic, Frank remained calm and instructed us to relax and breathe, the elephant soon turned and walked away. Observing giraffes, Frank shared details about their eating habits among other things, and got close enough that we were dwarfed by the immense size of these animals. To enhance our daily experience, Frank studied the ground for animal tracks and we were fortunate to follow a lioness and her cubs for quite some time, and parked quite close to a couple of male lions on separate game drives. I have a greater appreciation for all the animals knowing more about them and seeing them in their natural habitat. Frank arranged a mokoro trip for us. I highly recommend doing this, you view the animals from the waterway, on the waterway, no other experience can compare.

Frank would choose interesting spots for sundowners; one spot in particular allowed for spectacular sunset pictures while hearing hippos in the distance, splashing in the water! I must say sundowners with Frank were always fun; he makes the best gin and tonic. Sundowners allowed us to share the day's adventures, share stories and laughter. I miss them.

Returning to camp for dinner, we again were brought cool refreshing drinks. Warm water for showering was promptly brought. Showering and looking up at the sky, feeling the warm breeze and hearing birds was ecstatically pleasing! Before escorting us to the dining tent, we would be seated by the fire and our chef would detail our dinner menu. My wine was poured and my glass was never empty. While we dined, our beds were turned down and our tent sprayed for bugs. I didn't see any mosquitoes and only once did I see flies at one campsite. Our tent was the perfect size for the two of us and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice falling asleep while looking the stars.

I do plan on returning to Botswana and bring my grandson; elephants are also his favourite animals. Frank, I can only experience this trip again with you as my guide.

Great Safari Experience
5/5

Our family of three had a lovely 9-night safari with Frank and his team in July 2024.

Frank is a very knowledgeable guide who was always eager to teach us something interesting about the animals and nature. He was very good at spotting animals. He also used his connections with the other local guides from other safari companies to track down sightings.

Frank understands what Western tourists like us want and made sure his team delivered it. We could feel they all cared to give us a good experience. We were especially happy with their great efforts to accommodate our child who can only eat gluten-free.

We can definitely recommend Semunyeni mobile safaris for a great experience in Botswana.

Excellent 4 days Safari Tour with Semuyeni
5/5

I went for a 4 days Safari with open space camp with Frank and Taz and their cook. It was one of the best private tours i had in my life (I travel o lot) we spent 3 days camping set right on Khwai River shores with wildlife coming to the camp and crossing the river daily which was excellent. We had morning and evening drives and Frank and Taz are experts in finding wildlife and explaining their life and habits. I strongly recommend them for tours out of Maun.

Did a safari in 3 countries and this was the best!
5/5

In September 2023, my girlfirend and I did 3 private safaris back-to-back in 3 countries. Tazmania, Namibia and Botswana. Tazmania was glamping, Nambia was hotel & lodges and Bostwana was bush camping. Hands down, Semunyeni was the best. It is the one that I will always remember. It was the cheapest of the 3 but it was where we were treated like roayilty.

The booking process with Frank Mochaba was super easy. He answered all of my questions and sent a lot of photos so I knew exactly what we were getting. We arrived one day early so we could do a helicopter ride over the delta and Frank handled everything. He even drove us himself to/from the airport.

The next morning, we were surpirsed when Frank showed up at the hotel with the land cruiser pulling a trailer. Plus 3 other men. Besides Frank, who was the driver & guide, there was a chef, waiter and camp assitance. Wow. 4 men to serve the 2 of us. From that moment on, everything we needed was taken care of. We'd arrive at a new campsite and drop off the team who would then set up camp and prepare dinner while Frank took us on a game drive and sundowner. When we returned to camp, we'd have hot water for a shower and an amazing dinner. This is how it went every day. Besides 3 meals a day, we'd also have a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea or sundowner. Plus there was always cold drinks in the truck. The camp set up was simple but perfect. The dining tent was large and very functional. Our sleeping tent was set up away from everything and was super comfortable with 2 single beds. I loved that we could easily stand up inside of it. We spent 6 nights at 3 different campsites. My favourite was the first one in the Delta with the elephants.

Now for the safaris themselves, Frank was the absolute best guide of the 3 safaris we took. He found things that others did not. If too many vehicles surrounded a lion, we'd leave and Frank would find others that we would have all to ourselves. He is also a photographer and would make sure he positioned the truck in the best position for the best shot.

If I was to ever do another safari, it would be going back to Botswana and doing the trip with Frank.
