He was equally knowledgeable about the flora and fauna as he was fun to spend hours looking at it.
5/5

In 2010, I had the incredible experience of embarking on a safari adventure with Mzilikazi Way Safaris in Botswana, and it remains one of my most cherished travel memories. This safari offered an unparalleled blend of thrilling wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and exceptional service.

Wildlife Encounters

From the moment we set out, it was clear that this was going to be a safari like no other. We had the extraordinary fortune of seeing majestic lions, towering elephants, and playful hippos in their natural habitats. One particularly exhilarating moment was driving through a river so deep that it covered the hood of our vehicle, a true testament to the ruggedness of our adventure.

Evenings brought their own magic as we gathered around the firepit. The glowing eyes of hyenas surrounding our camp added a thrilling touch of the wild to our nights. And of course, who could forget the mischievous monkey that brazenly stole a banana right from our campsite? These encounters were not only thrilling but also offered a deep connection to the untamed beauty of Botswana.

Exceptional Guiding

Our safari was significantly enriched by our guide, Okaile Vincent Mguni. His extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna was impressive, and he shared insights with an infectious enthusiasm that made each outing both educational and fun. Okaile’s ability to track animals, identify plants, and explain ecological relationships transformed our safari into a deeply immersive experience. His warm personality and humorous anecdotes kept our spirits high and made our time in the wilderness incredibly enjoyable.

Overall Experience

Mzilikazi Way Safaris delivered a top-notch adventure that blended excitement with education. The seamless organization of the trip, the quality of the equipment, and the dedication of the staff ensured that we could fully immerse ourselves in the experience without any concerns. The memories of driving through river waters, witnessing the grandeur of African wildlife, and sharing stories around the campfire under the vast starry sky are ones I will treasure forever.

In summary, Mzilikazi Way Safaris provided an extraordinary safari that exceeded all expectations. The combination of awe-inspiring wildlife sightings, heart-pounding adventures, and exceptional guiding by Okaile Vincent Mguni makes this company a top choice for anyone seeking an unforgettable safari experience in Botswana. If you’re looking to create lifelong memories and experience the true essence of the African wilderness, Mzilikazi Way Safaris is the way to go.

I can hardly imagine a better safari in Botswana than we had with Mzilikazi Way Safari.
5/5

My wife, 13-year-old son and I went on a 12-day mobile safari in the northern part of Botswana in July 2024. The safari was organized by the agency Mzilikazi Way Safari.

We traveled in a Toyota Land Cruiser, specially adapted for safari drives. Every day upon arrival at our destination, we were welcomed by an already set-up camp. This was the responsibility of the support team, who traveled ahead of us in their own vehicle. We slept in a comfortable tent with excellent beds and an attached bathroom, and enjoyed delicious, freshly prepared food by our chef.

From Maun, which was our starting point, we first visited the Tsodilo Hills near the Namibian border and viewed the millennia-old rock paintings of the Sun people. Members of the Sun from a nearby village visited us and presented some of their traditional crafts.

We then drove to the Makgadikgadi salt pans of the former lakes Nxai and Nwetwe. We slept under the open, clear southern starry sky. Besides visiting the colonies of meerkats, we went on a short hike with members of the Sun people, who demonstrated some survival skills in the Kalahari (such as fire-making).

This was followed by a true safari, visiting a chain of parks in northern Botswana, from the Okavango Delta near Maun, through Moremi, Khwai, and Savuti, to Chobe on the border with Zimbabwe. We encountered almost all the significant animals of this region, like elephants and giraffes, antelopes and zebras, African buffaloes, hippos, African wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, lions, a leopard, warthogs, honey badger, crocodiles, and of course, a multitude of different birds. It was magical. At night, lions roared around our camps, and hyenas called with their characteristic sounds.

The entire trip was guided (and driven) by the agency's owner, Vincent Okaile Mguni - Vinnie. The safari was excellently organized, everything worked flawlessly. Vinnie's extensive knowledge of nature and animals was astounding. He was reliable and friendly, an excellent companion on our almost two-week journey. As he was eager to share his knowledge with us, we learned a lot on this trip. Together with the support team (Daniel, who was responsible for setting up and taking down the camp, and Brighton, who was our incredible chef), we formed an excellent team.

short, the safari with Mzilikazi Way Safari was unforgettable, and I can hardly imagine anyone organizing a better one.I highly recommend it!

I only can warmly recommend Mzilikazi Way Safaris if you are considering a trip to Botswana!
5/5

In July 2024, we went on an amazing safari experience in Botswana with Mzilikazi Way Safari. We spent 12 days, mostly in the wild, from Tsodilo Hills to the Makgadikgadi Pans and then through the Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai, Savuti and Chobe National Parks.

Mzilikazi Way Safaris owner, Vincent (or Vinnie) was our guide all this time. His team, with Brighton as the chef and Daniel as the camp master, was just perfect.

We have seen most of the wildlife in this part of the world, like elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffalos, hippos, wildebeests, wharthogs or ostriches. We had the incredible chance to also see african wild dogs, lions and even a leopard in the wild, thanks to Vinnie's incredible skills at tracking animals.

I only can warmly recommend Mzilikazi Way Safaris if you are considering a trip to Botswana!
