An amazing safari trip
Dennis from Splendid Vacation did an excellent at organising our trip!
All four of the parks we went to, Amboseli, Lake Navaisha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara had a great variety of animals and scenery.
Masila did an amazing job as our driver. He was very helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all things related to the safari and Kenya. We felt we were all in very good hands.
I would highly recommend splendid vacations to everyone. It was a wonderful experience.

Exceptional service and unforgettable experience
Splendid Vacations exceeded my expectations on all levels. I am very thorough and detailed when planning my vacations. James was patient and answered all my questions. What stands out the most is how James continually checked in with me over the months of planning. His messages checking and getting us excited for our safari adventure. During the trip, James checked in to make sure that we were happy and everything was going smoothly. James' expertise and suggestions for additional activities during our time in the Mara really enhanced our experience. The customer service was fantastic. When there was a miscommunication with our visit at the Masai Mara Village, James rectified the issue immediately.
Our guide, George, was phenomenal! He was friendly and knowledgeable. He truly made our experience unforgettable. We love, George! Every guide should be like George. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Well organized and customer friendly
Our driver James was excellent in knowledge of the road , he was very considerate of our needs and made a journey over some very rough roads bearable. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and got the most out of this trip.
If we were to do this trip again would want to have James as our navigator !

Splendid Vacations did an amazing job planning out our itinerary. Each park had its own uniqueness and charm. Roads are a bit rough….bring cushions to sit on…it will make the drives much better. We can’t thank James and the Splendid team in getting us to the airport safely and on time when the surroundings were becoming a little unpredictable.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to you and the whole team for such a memorable holiday – truly a holiday of a lifetime. Your attention to detail before and during our holiday was exceptional, more than anyone could hope for.
Along the way, so many people went out of the way to make it so special.
Whilst we can't name them all, there are a few people that deserve special mention:
o “Willie” our Jeep driver – whose knowledge made the difference, explaining the culture in such an engaging way - connecting with other guides and finding many intimate moments with the incredible wildlife;
o “Jonathon” at Kibo Safari Camp – who went out of his way to make us feel at home, always greeting us with a smile, even joining us to watch the Euro 2024 semi final. And “Steve” at the restaurant, who looked after us so well;
o “Lucian” at the Salt Licks Game Lodge who took us on a night safari, sharing his knowledge with warmth and enthusiasm;
o “Hamisi” and the head chef the Diani Sea Resort who organised an incredible celebratory seafood feast for Ben’s 16th Birthday, serenaded with traditional dancers by the beach, a night not to be forgotten;
o “Benson” our taxi driver to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park where we saw green turtles and ate the most incredible meal on Wasini Island.
And last but not least yourself Rachael, from adapting our schedule to meet every request, smoothing over my visa without drama before we set off, organising Ben's spectacular birthday meal, and having the initiative to recommend a final visit to Giraffe sanctuary and a meal at Carnivores when we had a few spares hours before our return flight. Exceptional attention to detail.
The hotels and food was first class throughout, the Jeep was modern and clean and the routes taken were scenic and informative. But the overriding memory for us is the WONDERFUL PEOPLE that make Kenya such a special place, and yours a special team.
I have sent you a few photos via Whatsapp which you are welcome to use as necessary – again, we could flood you with so many memories, but hopefully the few we do send will give you an impression of the happiness you provided.
Finally I have have already shared your details (and the comprehensive quote you provided us) to a few friends and family - who have expressed what incredible value the tour was. There is NOTHING to fault! Brilliant!!

Looking for splendid Kenya safari , go for Splendid Vacations
From the moment I set foot in Kenya, Splendid Vocation made my dream safari a reality. Their impeccable service and attention to detail ensured that every moment was a treasured memory.
Upon arrival, we were greeted and met our drive Timothy. Timothy was very kind and had well knowledge about animals in Kenya. Our stay in Mara and Amboseli was a camp, the room was spacious, clean, and equipped with amenities one could need. ( if you choose a camp, make sure it is near the reception and resturant area, otherwise you need to take at least 10-15mins in walking back.) The rest two nights of stay were lodges, they were nice and elegant, i would recommend anyone with the Saltlick lodge. We saw 3 different groups of elephants coming for dringking water just under our room. This made us feel like living in a dreaming land, how fascinating!
The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the safari. Timothy was not only an expert in wildlife but also in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. We were fortunate to spot anmails like lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards... in their natural habitat. The thrill was palpable, and the guides' insights added depth to the experience. One thing i should mention was Timothy communicated with other drivers and guide each day when we went for a safari, this made him get more information about where we could find and see different animals! Thank you so much Tim!!!

An Experience of a Lifetime We Will Live to Talk About
Our concluded 7-Day Best Private trip to Kenya with Splendid Vacations was an unforgettable adventure that seamlessly blended natural beauty, the rich heritage, and top-notch and quality service. James the tour consultant from Splendid Vacations portrayed exceptional professionalism, expertise knowledge and attention to detail and managed to organise a 17 member group itinerary.The itinerary was well-structured, offering the perfect blend between adventure, learning and relaxation in perfectly selected hotels. Our visits included Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate and Amboseli National Parks.
Our driver guides; Augustine, Willy and Alex were excellent in knowledge of the road, the natural heritage giving every detail of the animals, very considerate of our needs and made a journey over some very rough terrain unthoughtful. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and got the most out of this trip.
What amazed us was how James continually checked in with us over the period of planning, his messages checking and getting us more thrilling and excited for our safari adventure. During the trip, James checked in to make sure that we were happy and everything was going smoothly in a hassle free style!

Knowledgeable, efficient, thoughtful and thorough
From the first point of contact with James to the after trip care, these guys could not have done more. James helped put the itinerary together, liaising constantly to make sure the trip suited our needs. The plan when it came through was perfect and the trip itself lived up to the expectations.
Glen, our driver, could not have done more to ensure the trip went well. His knowledge of the animals and birds was amazing and we saw a great range of species. He added other elements to the itinerary at short notice including he and James coordinating the collection of an unexpected late arrival of one of the party.
I wholeheartedly recommend these guys to make your Kenya experience one in a million. Thanks James and Glen

Great Experience thanks to Splendid Vacations
Splendid Vacations made this trip seem a walk in the park. Alice was always available during the booking stage with great response time that made it easy to adjust itinerary to our needs. We booked very late but Alice managed to organise the trip seamlessly, exceeding our expectations. She checked about us during the trip and even after - so kudos to her. Joshua, our guide and driver was always cheerful and making sure we would reach on time every destination, driving very safely and giving insights about local culture and wildlife all along the trip. Impeccable service and great experience. We went to Ol Pejeta as Amboseli was fully booked and it was a great suggestion from Alice. Highly recommend the night safari. Another suggestion was a trekking adventure on Lake Naivasha, again spot on with plenty of animals roaming freely that you can almost touch, great experience. Next stop was Hell’s gate for a cycling adventure, followed by Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara. Saw plenty of wildlife on all stops and almost managed to see a heard of wildebeest to cross the Mara river…unfortunately they changed their mind last minute…good excuse to go back once more. Second part of the trip was Diani beach with its pristine white beaches and plenty of activities to undertake. Alice organised for us the train tickets from Nairobi to Mombasa. It’s a 5 hours comfortable ride in first class (there is a restaurant too) with some amazing scenery through Tsavo park. If you have the time I recommend. Thanks again to Joshua who, after our lunch at Carnivore, accompanied us through safety checks at the train station as I saw several comments that made me a bit worried, nevertheless with Joshua there all went very smooth without any issues. We loved the itinerary put together by Alice, the care taken by Joshua - the whole family was very happy throughout the journey and I can only highly recommend Splendid Vacations for their professionalism, commitment to let guests experience the best and the smooth process from the first contact until even after we finished the tour.

We planned our trip roughly and they made it come true perfectly!
We had this trip recently with Splendid and it's an excellent experience.
From the very beginning, Rachael, our main contact, was incredibly responsive and attentive. Whether we had questions or needed to make last-minute changes, such as switching hotels due to availability issues, Rachael handled everything swiftly and efficiently. Her proactive approach made the planning process smooth and stress-free. During our trip, Rachael continued to be considerate by checking in almost every day, ensuring everything was going well.
Our guide, Mwololo, was equally good. You can see he has experience in Safari, he communicates a lot with other drivers in the reserve to make sure that we don't miss any of the incredible wildlife sightings. He also shared fascinating insights and stories during our drives, making the journey even more interesting.
