Just perfect!
Booking and coordination with Diamant Tours was without any problems. I was picked up on time on the day of the excursion itself. The tour was great! The guide gave a lot of information about the individual stops. I felt very comfortable and came back with a lot of knowledge. I will definitely book more tours with Diamond Tours!
horror experience of Safari tour from Johannesburg to Kruger round trip
Just a few highlights below:
1) Car that came to pick us was dirty and our luggage didn’t fit, front seat had to be used 2) within 5 minutes that car started smoking. No A/c, windows were down. The entire car filled with smoke and we were inhaling smoke for over 2 hours until our lungs were hurting. We used N95 masks which did not help. We were able to leave the vehicle at the stop/rest location. We refused to re-enter the car (the driver AL kept telling us it’s not smoke and oh just take a break and get back in and we’re like but we can see the smoke? And it’s affecting our breathing!) 3) the driver didn’t want to call a new car for us. We had to wait hours for a new car to come get us 4) because of the above we missed our sunset game drive and didn’t get to make a couple stops we wanted like going on side trips to Mozambique or a place called Blyde River Canyon 5) the substitute driver AM dumped us in a hotel with ant infested towels, roaches, bugs and a tea kettle that clearly hadn’t seen a cleaner in its lifetime. It had white crusted clumps and goo all over it. Freezing showers in the morning. 6) In the morning another driver MIC dumped us at the safari park and we got crammed into a vehicle with loads of other people with none of the provided heat that other participants were provided like the fleece parkas. The driver flew off before we could even sit down. 7) the safari guide TR, didn’t stop for several of the animals so we missed some nice photo pops 8) @ 7AM we informed MIC to pick us up, he advised it would be possible at 9AM, the driver/tour company was supposed to pick us up after the sunrise tour and take us on our other excursions. This was communicated during the stop when we were informed we would be missing the sunset. They refused and literally wasted our whole day. Every time the drivers/ agency would say they will come and meet us at a stopover turned to be false. Even telling us to find our way from the safari to the hotel ourselves. As of 7am sunrise safari we were over it and wanted to leave. Until 12 noon no exit in sight, the pickup driver & tour guide were discussing keeping us in the forest until 3PM. Exactly how are we supposed to exit the forest ourselves? The arrangement was for the agency to transport us. 9) Our 2 days wasted and breaking every single plan and ignoring us (literally cutting of me off while speaking and talking over us with the safari guide making plans that didn’t consider us) to the point that we had to hitchhike & found a safari employee to drive us from safari to hotel so we could start hitch-hiking back to JoBurg town 10) safari employee drove us to hotel then the driver Albert was literally just sitting at the hotel with our luggage. Instead of driving us, he was literally just chilling twiddling his thumbs and didn’t apologize for any of the poor treatment. 11) We had to make arrangements with the safari employee to help find us a new driver as we knew we couldn’t rely on your tour guide company anymore. We feared for our safety. Lost out on our pre booked flight and hotel in JoBurg because we had to essentially leave Johannesburg via a flight out of Nelsprit. This is an abridged version of this nightmare. Please watch out, we learnt bitterly, go to the main official Kruger to book. I have texts, call time logs and email evidence of this events

We are choked about your review. This can show how you are a transgresor, greedy and selfish
1. You where not even supposed to be picked up in the first place for not completing the payment
The pick was 8am you come down at 9 am while the car that supposed to pick up was gone already.
2. The tours was not a private for you to change your mind in the mindle of a forest for asking a guide to turn back without consideration of other guest.
We plan every think in advance not according to the mood
3. As a transgresor, you tried to change the itinerary by talking to the drive asking them to take you in Mozambique while your tour was for Kruger without asking the management
4. you made an arrangement with an other company while some drove more than 4 hours to pick up and to compaset you with a Blyde River Canyon on you way back by informing him that you have an other arrangement.
After sleeping for free, had a transfer to Kruger for free and free safari that being greedy
You plan this from the first place not to pay activities so well done.
5 talking the hotel numbi hotel as 60years of experience in hospitality. The numbi manager did not received a complaint from or other guest how sleep there on that day. And you late again for the pick up to the safari
So it another excuse for you not paying
So you mativation of 1 star us is because, you in up paying a flight ticket and an other hotel
6. Your booking was for 2 day/night in Kruger. Not Mozambique or Blyde River Canyon
7 it not our fault of you are a bad person and greedy.
You need ready your booking what is included or not

I visited several iconic places in Jonnanesburg and Soweto with Pure Diamond Tour.
The guide spoke English and French and had a great knowledge of the country's history. He was punctual, friendly and educational. I was able to learn a lot.
