Our recent journey with Moria Safaris was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment our guide
Our recent journey with Moria Safaris was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment our guide greeted us at the airport with an infectious smile, we knew we were in for an unforgettable adventure. The 5-day expedition was packed with activities and involved considerable driving, but the experiences garnered were truly once-in-a-lifetime.
Our guide, a true maestro in his craft, ensured that our wildlife encounters surpassed expectations. Witnessing the Big Five, cheetahs, countless hippos, and intriguing hyenas became a reality, thanks to his extensive connections with other guides and his knack for discovering the best sightings. Conversations with fellow travelers unveiled that our experiences went above and beyond—closer and more intimate than most, making it feel as though we could reach out and touch everything around us.
The seamless execution of the trip, with every detail pre-arranged by Moria Safaris, added to the overall delight. Our accommodations were nothing short of fabulous, contributing to the comfort and enjoyment of our journey. This safari wasn't just a vacation; it was a captivating and immersive adventure that left us with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

A spectacular journey with moria safaris on the machame route
I recently embarked on a seven-day trek with Moria Safaris along the Machame Route, and the experience surpassed all expectations. From the initial planning stages to the final descent, every aspect of the journey was flawlessly executed, leaving me with memories that will last a lifetime.
The knowledgeable and attentive Moria Safaris team ensured that every detail was meticulously handled, making the trek along the Machame Route not just a physical adventure but also a journey of cultural immersion. Our guide, in particular, was not only an expert navigator of the trail but also a wealth of information about the local flora, fauna, and the rich Tanzanian culture.
The Machame Route itself presented breathtaking vistas and diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts. The pacing of the trek was well-planned, allowing for acclimatization and ensuring everyone in the group could fully appreciate the stunning surroundings.
Camping under the African sky added a touch of magic to the journey, and the Moria Safaris team's attention to detail in setting up and maintaining the campsites was commendable. The meals provided were not only nourishing but also delicious, proving that culinary excellence is achievable even on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
The highlight of the trek, of course, was reaching the Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. The sense of accomplishment and the breathtaking sunrise view made every step of the ascent worthwhile. The Moria Safaris team's encouragement and support played a crucial role in making this achievement possible

Incredible
Pickup was waiting at the airport and took me to hotel. Then took me on a tour of Arusha, including the heritage centre and then for dinner, which was a great start.
The next day I met my tour group and we headed to Tarangire National Park where we saw our first elephants, lions, giraffes of the Safari. We got close to the wildlife so made for some great pictures and videos. The accommodation that night was nice too - room and a pool.
The next day we headed to the Serengeti for 2 and a half days. Here we saw elephants, lions, giraffes and hippos. Was also lucky enough to see leopards and cheetahs among others. Our tour guide, Salay, did everything he could to make us see the wildlife and was always talking with other guides to see if they spotted anything for us to see. Incredible place. Insane. These nights we stayed at a campsite that was standard but the group had a great night. Also heard lions and hippos. There were elephants close by too and a stork right in the middle of the site.
We then headed to Ngongoro Crater where we saw more animals, talking the tally of elephants, giraffes, lions and hippos to over 100 each. We also saw 3 black rhinos. Had elephants in touching distance (but we didn’t touch) and also had African traffic jams with animals in the road. Incredible place and a must do. We stayed at a campsite that was busy but had warm showers.
Final day I visited the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Huge waterfall and then stopped by for fresh coffee making and delicious food. Great end to the safari.
Overall, everything went smoothly and I would well recommend. Chef was great too. Water and cola provided, all food provided. One of the best experiences I have ever done.

Try it so you can come back again
My impressions of the safari. Everything was wonderful. Service at the highest level. This applies to the car, camping, food, necessary information or attention from the guys. Always friendly and will help with any question. We saw many animals and tried to get as close to him as possible. I was satisfied and I advise you that you will not regret choosing the servants of these guys.

Great experience!
The safari was amazing! A life changing experience. Everythjng was very organized, I was informed of everything beforehand and I got helped dealing with different stuff like the buying and activation of the Sim card (which can be tricky) and Qatar Airlines lost my suitcase and Joshua helped me talked to the airline and deal with all the issue to have it back. Great driver and guide (Samuel), great accommodation and great food.

Everything was well prepared. Easy-going driver. We had many amazing stops.
Safari 5-star experiences offer unparalleled luxury, immersing guests in the heart of nature while providing top-notch service and amenities. From luxurious tented camps to opulent lodges, these safaris redefine adventure with comfort. However, some argue that they can feel disconnected from the true essence of wildlife encounters, favoring luxury over authenticity. Nonetheless, for those seeking a blend of extravagance and wildlife exploration, Safari 5-star experiences undoubtedly deliver an unforgettable journey.

Bakari was confident and experienced; we always felt safe and cared for, and he surprised us a lot!
Value for the money: exceeded expectations! We had high expectations for this trip and we were blown away by the experience! What we experienced was easily worth more.
Communications and service: most of the communications were good, except they didn’t describe well what we would need for camping. For example, we were told that all we needed for camping equipment would be provided, but in reality there was no toilet paper at the camp grounds, no pillows, no rags or towels, no soap or shampoo, and sleeping bags weren’t tracked each camp sight so we ended up using the bag of someone else the second night.
Also, there were only cold showers, which is a problem of the camp grounds (not the tour company) but they did not prepare us for that.
Reliability: they were VERY on time and I felt they were completely reliable with how/when/where things would happen. We also felt safe the whole time.
Tour itself: Trip of a Lifetime! It wasn’t luxurious, but it was safe, fun, with an easy atmosphere, friendly, and there was a sense of adventure the whole time. Bakari was very accommodating based on everyone’s interests and needs. He was an expert at spotting animals, some so far away that we couldn’t even see them with binoculars until he brought us up close to them. We got very close to all of the big 5 except a leopard, and we got very close to many other animals.
We would EASILY use this tour company, and especially the tour guide, Bakari, again.
