ThinkScene Safaris = Future Problems
For you readers seeking to book a safari in the next few months,
do yourself a favour and stay away of ThinkScene Safaris at all costs.
My and family traveled to Kenya in March 2025 with ThinkScene Safaris, with whom we had signed a contract on January 9, 2025, and was fully paid. During our trip, the agency demanded unjustified extra payments for already contracted services, thus violating the terms of the contract.
These charges included extra costs for confirmed accommodation, an unconfirmed excursion, and other unwanted services. I disagreed with these fraudulent requests with supporting documentation.
Despite several amicable attempts and a proposed compromise from my side (the agency retaining in an overpayment, with no further fees), the agency refused and threatened to downgrade my future contracted services. After these unacceptable threats and being insulted by my former driver, out of fear for our safety, we had to cancel the last part of the trip.... Read more I had to rebook the remaining leg at the last minute with another agency at our own expense to avoid any further disasters on our spoiled holiday.
I requested a refund for the last portion of the trip that was not honored based on these multiple contractual breaches, abusive practices, and disrespectful behaviors. The refund was refused by the agency based on their cancellation terms (non-applicable in these conditions) and a shady sentence allegedly allowing them to charge extra at will. Since then, they have ceased all communications.
The matter has been reported to legal authorities and is ongoing.
Stay safe and out trouble by not doing any business with this travel agency.
I would suggest booking a stay in one big worldwide chain hotel first.
Once it’s done, book your experience through the hotel directly engaging in their responsibility in case something goes wrong.
Kenya is an incredible country worth a visit, but it’s a shame that the behavior of some very few people ruins the overall experience.

Very Good Work
The Operator’s service was very good in terms of finding an excellent Driver - who at the same time is the Tourist Guide.
I would advise future clients who are moving from the Airport to the meeting point to get an Uber instead of paying a taxi. The difference is almost 8x.
Also, prevent from not having wifi connection during the Safari since some of the budget camps do not count with wifi.

Wow, best 3 days of my life
I did the 3-day maasai mara budget safari. Everything was perfect. The accomendation was simple but great, food was very good and staff friendly. Thank you so much to thinkscene safari for theese amazing days. We saw ALOT of animals, way more than expected, and got to learn alot about them! I felt safe and well taken care of. I got sick the day before I was supposed to start my safari, but Thinkscene was very understanding and let me postpone my safari: that meant a lot for me and show how much they care about the customer. An extra thanks to Brenda for the excellent service and to Andrew the driver😌
Only thing to comment on is that they should check that all the cars have the needed equipment - we punctured and the car jeck didnt work so we were stuck for a while. But still a 5 star because it really is the best company!!!

Genuine!
Five stars! My mother and I booked a safari with ThinkScene. Unfortunately we experienced a medical emergency prior to the safari. ThinkScene was incredibly understanding and accommodating to our situation. Their patience and well wishes were genuine and greatly appreciated. We're saddened at the inability to experience the safari but should a return trip ever occur we'll be booking with ThinkScene without hesitation. Highly recommend, if nothing else for their compassion and genuineness.

Incredible Value and Service
This was truly Amazing. After landing, we were picked up from our hotel the next morning. Our driver Abel was quite helpful, he knows safari and the national parks so well. We did 3 days Maasai Mara and then later spend a day at Lake Nakuru. This was something out of the ordinary coz we saw many animals in Maasai Mara, the camps we good, with up to date safety features, I for my camera by I was glad it was delivered to me at Lake Nakuru. Everything about this safari was a worthy experience. I encourage anyone to try them.

Our operator was fascinating with his knowledge of the area and wildlife. He went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and felt safe. The tour was the highlight of our vacation in the country. Looking forward to our next trip here.

My family and I did a 7-day safari in Africa with this tour operator. Everything went on so easily, it was easy talking to the manager Brenda. I speak French mostly, but I never had issues because the guide we were given was good in French. The meals and accommodation were cheap yet very classy. The tour guide was the most amazing person, he was so conversant with the area to an extend that we never had trouble seeing all the animals. What stood out was the kindness, I forgot my luggage in my hotel room and the manager Brenda picked in and send it all the way to Rwanda with everything intact. Always choose ThinkScene Safaris

The best 8 day experience
We spent 8 incredible days exploring Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park. This was, without a doubt, the best-planned itinerary I’ve ever experienced. I was referred to ThinkScene Safaris by a colleague who had previously used this tour operator. All it took was one call to Philip, and he did an outstanding job of organizing an exciting adventure for us. Maasai Mara was truly remarkable—a real wilderness with amazing lodges and great food. I thoroughly enjoyed the VIP experience, especially our visit to Lake Nakuru, and the guides were exceptional throughout, including at Naivasha and Amboseli. Due to a medical condition, I needed regular check-ups, and I was well taken care of at every step. Thank you so much, Philip, for providing us with a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
