Wonderful trip to South Africa and Mozambique, organised by Kathi Simon.
The whole trip was absolutely seamless! All my drivers were there absolutely on time, and they were all lovely people. Kathi choose a super hotel in Mabuto and a fantastic beach resort at Viancoulos. The driver who took me through the border into Mozambique was from Mabuto, he knew the ropes, and I was through the border in about 30 minutes. I absolutely love Africa and can’t wait to go back!

The most spectacular African vacation
All of my communication with African Welcome (Alex Simon) was excellent and prompt. I simply identified where in Africa we wanted to visit, budget and duration desired and African Welcome produced a trip of a lifetime! All of our lodges met or exceeded our expectations, everyone of the drivers designated to transfer us from one place to another were prompt, pleasant and efficient.
We saw "The Big Five" by the end of day two!

Great Safari Trip
Alex helped us with a 5 days custom package for 6 people in Great Kruger. I gave him the budget and requirements and he managed to come up with great choices besides the short notice and high season. Everything was great from communication, transfers, hotels, game drives. Highly recommended!

They delivered exactly what they promised and the experience was awesome
Our agent (Kathi) was very helpful. She gave us a few options and worked with us to setup the itinerary that we wanted. She managed to get us an extra day in Safari and one fewer day in Cape Town than the default itinerary had which matched our preferences. The hotel in Cape Town and the lodge in Kruger lived up to our expectations and then some and the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend both the Victoria & Albert hotel on the Cape Town waterfront and the Serondella lodge in Thornybush that she booked for us. She also gave us all the information needed for travel (needed birth certificates for the children, the kind of plug adapters we needed etc). All in all she made sure we had an awesome time.

Excellent service by Alex.
Communications with Alex from African Welcome Safaris has been smooth to the day i depart for Singapore for Johannesburg. Alex has been patient and extremely helpful and with the budget provided to him, he manage to secure 2 nights Kruger, Rhino Post and 2 nights at thornybush accommodation. Both are different in terms of the safari game experience. Service etc. shuttle service / transport / accommodation from the day i arrived at Tambo airport to the last day spend at the safari has been first class. It has truly been a memorable and excellent experience. Good Job Alex!

Excellent personal service
Kathi provided a truly excellent service. She gave us some terrific advice where we were uncertain about elements of our trip and was able to beat all the quoted prices we'd received directly for our accommodation. The wine lands day tour was a real highlight and was organised by African Welcome. She checked in with us during our trip and was on hand when we needed some advice while in South Africa.

Very responsive and catered to our needs, right down to the last details :)
We would recommend Kathi and African Welcome Safaris to anyone who wants to make a visit to Cape Town and have a safari experience built in. Kathi was super responsive right from the start, without being too imposing. It was our first visit to South Africa and my family and I had the most awesome experience, from being up on the magnificent Table Mountain, soaking in the ambience at the waterfront to the magical bush experience at Tintswalo. I was travelling with 4 elderly folks and Kathi made it the most stress-free holiday ever for me...from the transfers to tickets. After a 14h flight from Singapore, it was great that arrangements were already made with the hotel for an early check-in. Our guide in Cape Town, Rhys was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We felt very safe with him.
The stay at Tintswalo Manor House was amazing and magical.
We will definitely want to make another trip back and have African Welcome Safaris take care of our itinerary :)

Absolutely perfect !!!
It was our 2nd safari which we booked with Kathi. As the first time it was a brilliant experience . Kathi recommended us 3 lodges in Botswana which were all perfect and exceeded our already very high expectations. The combination of lodges was brilliant in every aspect . We planned this trip months before and we had so many questions. Kathi responded always very quickly and she really helped us a lot. The pre Safari Information we received was very valuable and helped us the plan the details. We will definitely book our next trip to Africa again via African Welcome Safaris ! Thank you Kathi for recommending this wonderful Safari combination

African Welcome Safaris, particularly Kathi Simon, were super responsive, efficient and competetive.
African Welcome Safaris, particularly Kathi Simon, were super responsive, efficient and competitive in planning what turned out to be an amazing holiday.
Our 15-day holiday covered 2 parks in the Sabi Sabi Sands area in Kruger, Cape Town and surrounds, and the Central Drakensberg area.
The 2 parks in Kruger were outstanding but in our opinion Rattrays at Mala Mala was clearly better- the property is much older but has a lot of charm but much more importantly the game was much more plentiful than at Earth Lodge. The gaming experience was not only "Out of Africa" but out of this world! Simply amazing!
Cape Town was great! We enjoyed the two day trips – perhaps samplers for spending more time in the area on our next visit (maybe)! Our hotel, Cape Grace, was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the seafood restaurants and the shopping in the Waterfront area.
Drakensberg unfortunately was a complete washout. The property, Cleopatra's was nice in a campy sort of way and the scenery was spectacular but it rained continuously for 3 days and we barely had an opportunity to step out of Cleopatra's and the wi-fi at the property was down all the time we were there. Bummer…!
Kathi Simon's help was outstanding throughout. She was very helpful and responsive and patient- notwithstanding the many many changes in the itinerary as we were planning the vacation. African Welcome Safaris were also price competitive! I think it is fair to say that we would not have enjoyed our vacation half as much without their planning and flawless execution. Thank you very much!
