Fantastic! I can't recommend this enough!
My family and I traveled to South Africa for a wedding in Feb 2023, and since we had never been to South Africa, we trusted Kathi at African Welcome Safaris to help us plan and coordinate activities and a safari for our family (including a 7-year-old boy). WE HAD THE BEST TIME! Everything that was on our itinerary was great - we got to see Cape Town and enjoyed a fantastic experience on Safari later in the trip. The transport and guides were all professional and courteous. We felt safe and comfortable every step of the way; and the value for the money was exceptional. I can't wait to return and spend more time in South Africa - and we will be booking through African Welcome Safaris again!

Extremely Helpful and Prompt Response
Our party of 8 started planning our trip with Kathi way back in 2018/2019 for Dec 2020 trip. After nailing down the meticulously planned itinerary by Kathi, the trip had to be put on hold for 2 years because of covid. Kathi, diligently kept us updated every few months with a new possible schedule. Our trip finally happened in Dec 2022. The schedule, hotels/resorts, guides for the trip were top notch! Nothing we can complain about. Kathi kept in touch with us personally via calls/whatsapp, just to make sure everything was well.
Very thankful for Kathi to have made our trip a unforgettable experience.

PERFECTION!
From the moment we contacted Kathi at African Welcome Safari's, we knew we were onto a winner. Kathi put together a great itinerary for us to Victoria Falls, Cape Town, Kruger / Hoedspruit & Jo'burg. Transfers, Tours, Accom, Flights were all taken care, we just had to show up. The quality of everything was perfect and the communication was brilliant! Kathi stayed in touch throughout the trip to answer any questions we had and assist if we had any issues. Everything was just so easy!

I cannot recommend African Welcome Safaris enough! From the very first moment we contacted them, Kathi Simon and her team were incredibly professional and responsive, making sure all our needs were met and going above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. Despite contacting them at the last minute, Kathi found us the perfect fit for a safari, and we couldn’t have been happier with her proposal to go to Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The Rangers and Trackers during the games were top-notch, incredibly knowledgeable, and made sure we saw the big five while feeling safe at all times. The hotel was a sensory experience like no other, and I found myself eagerly anticipating every meal, eager to relive the incredible culinary journey it offered. The value for money was well above expectation, and we even booked an extra day, which was seamlessly taken care of by Kathi. Excellent and well organised tour
Our safari was well organised from the beginning stages to the last day of our trip. We were able to work with Kathi to create a safari that was within our budget, exactly what we asked for and allowed us to have great encounters with animals on safari. Kathi was patient and answered all of our questions in the lead up to our trip. Our trip was fantastic, with two excellent guides throughout Kenya and Tanzania, the camps were all of a high standard. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

A very experienced tour operator that was very attentive and communicative throughout.
Every detail of the safaris/tours/accommodation/transportation was completely organized from A-Z. At every location there was someone to meet and greet us and ensure that our transfers were seemless. We never waited or were unsure if we were in the right spot. Their recommendations for all the hotels/lodges that we stayed at were first rate. We would recommend them to anyone. The safari experience that we had in both South Africa and Botswana were beyond our expectations. Between the two, we saw all the wild life that you would want to see. The big 5 and the 5 ugly. This company knows what they are doing and all their partners delivered a memorable experience. Kathi was attentive and available whenever I reached out to her.
