Excellent in every phase
I joined 3nights 4days safari. During the safari, we saw many animals and learned a lot about them through a ranger. All crew in the tydon safari bush camp were very kind and nice. And the camp was very clean and good. Also all the meal was excellent. Thank you for having me a beautiful experience. Especially thank you for Karah, Joe, Laggie.

It was a great trip
Everything went perfectly fine. The only thing, if I had to find something was the shark diving experience in Durban which took place on a stormy day and that I found dangerous and the guides in Durban city who were the nicest people in the world but utterly incompetent. The other tour guides we had in Lesotho and Pretoria and Jburg were amazing and we really recommend them warmly.
An Unforgettable Experience
Kathi, at African Welcome Safaris, was a pleasure to work with in planning our safari. She is quick to respond to any questions you might have followed up an any concerns we had.
Transfers were seamless & the safari itself exceeded our expectations. We chose to visit the Shamwari Game Reserve & stay at the Bayethe Tented Lodge. Words cannot describe our experience. The accommodations, the food & the staff were all 5 star. The game drives were incredible, leaving us with such a desire to return to this magical place. I would highly recommend!

Amazing Service! Exceeded our expectations on every level!
Kathi was our agent and she was absolutely amazing on every level. She went above and beyond in accommodating all of our requests….including last minute changes and bookings. I would highly recommend her for booking and arranging your South African vacation. She was absolutely perfect in selecting our hotels and safari. We were beyond impressed with her service and advice.
Kwandwe was an awesome safari experience. We enjoyed all the game drives and we were able to see all the Big 5. The accommodation and service was great!
Victoria Falls was a must see and a great experience. The time spent in Franschhoek was wonderful. It was a charming an quaint town with a great experience. The Rosenhof Country House was amazing! We were thrilled with the service and accommodation. To our surprise, our vehicle was washed while we were at breakfast! A nice touch to the overall experience. Cape Grace was exceptional as well! Definitely an amazing holiday!

Excellent Tour Organiser
I was very apprehensive when I first made a booking through African Welcome Safari. Except from reading the reviews in the internet I had no way of knowing whether the company was real or not. What a pleasant surprise!! It is not only real it is the best tour company I've ever dealt with. The tour was prepared and organised meticulously and I could not find any fault. From the time we had landed and then left Johannesburg everything went smoothly. The accommodations chosen were the top of the range and the tour guides were professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend African Welcome Safari to anyone who wants to enjoy the best possible safari experience in their lifetime.

Well organized. Everything worked like a clock work.
Kathi from African Welcome Safaris built a 16 day trip for us on the Garden Route (Cape town to Port Elizabeth).
Everything worked perfect. Kathi was very responsive in the process.
My only comment is the company's policy to charge for the whole trip 30 days before departure which made me a bit nervous. I think it is only fair to have more convenient payment terms.

A memorable trip to South Africa
Kathi from African Safari organised a 10-day trip for us to SA including Cape Town, Garden route and Safari. We initially contacted 6 agents, and Kathi was by far the most knowledgeble, organised and responsive. Upon arrival we were given a compehensive pack with infomation about all interesting places to visit on our way and all useful tips for our travel. I would highly recommend Kathi to anyone who wants to visit South Africa. Thank you Kathi for making our trip so special!

the trip of a lifetime
Our trip exceeded all of our expectations. Our destinations as selected by Kathi ( Capetown/Stellenbosch/Victoria Falls/Botswana) were all extraordinarily interesting and beautiful. Our guides, to a man, were knowledgable/accommodating and obviously loved their work. If I ever return to South Africa I would only patronise African Welcome Safaris !

Truly the trip of a lifetime!
When we started planning our trip to Africa for a group of 14, we contacted several agencies for quotes. Very quickly we decided to go with African Welcome Safaris. The choice was simple: the agency representative, Kathi Simon, was responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and accommodating. In addition, the price was right. Not only did Kathi tailor our trip to our wishes, but she also made a number of excellent suggestions, which, as we realized later, turned our vacation into an unforgettable experience.
We started our tour with a four and half day stay in Cape Town. This included a city tour, Table Mountain (not to be missed!), Winelands tour, hiking on Lion’s Head (highly recommended but be prepared to do some strenuous climbing), and just leisurely walking around this interesting city. Kathi suggested that we stay at Lawhill Luxury Apartments, which turned out to be superb accommodations. The apartments were luxurious indeed. They were also less expensive and more convenient than comparable hotels.
The next leg of the tour was a safari at Kruger National Park. Our enjoyment of this portion of the trip is beyond words. Our rangers, Terry and Kyle, made everything possible so that we could relish every minute of the safari. We parked a few feet away from a herd of lions that did not pay the slightest attention to us and saw a leopard leisurely walk a few feet away from our Jeep. We would just tell the rangers what we wanted to see, say, zebras, elephants, and giraffes, and they managed to find all of those animals for us. We stayed at the Selati Camp of the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, which was also Kathi’s suggestion. The camp was a unique experience in itself. The “bungalows” were rustic enough to create a safari mood, but very comfortable and spacious, with twice-a-day room service to make you feel great. The camp had eight bungalows so that it was all ours. Most importantly, the camp staff was friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
Before moving to our next safari at Chobe National Park, Kathi suggested that we visit the spectacular Victoria Falls. We spent two unforgettable days there. Not only did we enjoy viewing the Victoria Falls from both the Zambia and Zimbabwe sites, but we also swam in the Devil’s Pool on Livingston Iceland, rode elephants and had a dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. These two days were a very nice change of scenery. Thereafter we moved to the Chobe Game Lodge, which is undoubtedly the best safari location at Chobe. The Safari experience at Chobe was different but no less enjoyable than the one at Kruger. The abundance of animals at Chobe is unbelievable. We could observe them not only from the Jeeps but also from boats on the Chobe River.
I cannot say enough to praise Kathi Simon who flawlessly organized and executed the trip that covered a vast territory of four countries: South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. Due to Kathi’s expertise and attention to details, we had a seamless transition from place to place.
We thoroughly enjoyed each and every day we spent in Africa. Together these days added up to an extraordinary vacation that we will never forget.
