very efficient and friendly
In February 2025 Peter Wairasho as a BirdingPal organized for me a two days excursion in the Meru region, skillfully adapting the trip to my constrained schedule. He then was able to set up a day tour of Nairobi National Park on a short notice.
The photography trips with 4x4 rental cars were extremely successful, mainly due to his amazing knowledge and birder experience. He knows the right habitats, what is expected at the time, and he has a great ear for the calls.
Together, we had a lot of fun during the trips. I can certainly recommend the enjoyable experience of birding with Peter.

Excellent!
I travelled four times with Peter Wairasho between January 2019 and November 2023 on
Individual Bird Photography Tours; each between 2 and 4 weeks. Peter brought the wanted
Landcruiser with pop up-roof and all windows fully to be opened. He drove that car like a professional driver. We went to many of the NPs to find the birds of my target list. And he found them! I had the impression he knows all of the estimated 1100 species in Kenya, as well in their taxonomic names.
Peter Wairasho is a well known birder in Kenya, many times participating in the yearly ringing actions in Tsavo West (Ngulia Lodge). He has a good sense of humor and patience with Bird Photographers which is not very common with many Bird Guides.
So, I can highly recommend a Wildlife and Bird Tour with Twinspot Tours and Travel in East Africa!

Excellent bird guide
We hired Peter and Twinspot Tours for 5 days of birding in and around Nairobi; specifically Nairobi National Park, Gatamaiyu Forest Reserve, and Amboseli National Park. First of all, he is an excellent birder and helped us see and identify many birds, especially the difficult ones as we had been to Nairobi National Park on our own prior to hiring him. He handled the logistics flawlessly, and we were very happy with the transport, meals and accommodation. Furthermore, he has a good sense of humour and is a good conversationalist, telling us a lot about Kenya, beyond just the birds and natural environment. We would highly recommend Peter and Twinspot Tours, and will hire him again when we return to Kenya.
