Imara Tour Safari trip - Best tour experience ever and wished that the rating system had more stars!
We are a family of 5 and our initial trip to Zanzibar was mostly to do a safari with the kids. We checked so many tour operators online but Imara Tour was by far the best deal and most accommodating. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to book our 2 days safari with Imara in the Mikumi park reserve. Fessal our tour operator, contacted us immediately and consulted us to design the best trip possible based on our requirements. Not knowing what to expect, with Fessal we were exchanging together using Whatsapp and managed to designed the perfect trip for us. Honestly, this trip was simply amazing and the best tour we ever experienced. Imara deliver way beyond our expectations and have no problem recommending them to anyone. Actually, I would even go as far as I wouldn't do this again unless it was with Imara tour, that's how good they are. Fessal is a young experienced tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, dynamic, well spoken and with great attention to details. He's clearly passionate about tourism and will do everything to ensure everything is perfect. A safari trip in Tanzania is not easy task but Fessal made it look easy and a great experience overall. Everything was so well organized and his ability to adapt to us was just impressive. We travelled from Zanzibar where the had organized a transfer directly from the hotel to the ferry in Stone Town. Once in Stone Town, Fessal was waiting for us and took care of everything from the ferry to the transport from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National reserve. He constantly made sure to avoid any delays to ensure we could maximise out time at the park. He had organized a quick lunch half-way that was perfect for the occasion. We felt safe and in good hands at all time. The tour in Mikumi was absolutely amazing and worth the trip. Fessal designed the trip based on what animal we mostly wanted to see. But after a couple of days, we've managed to see everything we wanted and thanks to Imara efforts, this was way beyond expectation. They worked so hard to please us and making sure we had the best experience possible. Overnight, we stayed in a locale hotel in Mikumi (20 min drive) which managed to accommodate the 5 of us which is never easy. The rooms and service was great and accommodating. It included dinner and breakfast in the morning before round two. In the morning whilst driving towards the our second day tour, it was cold and would suggest to bring some warm clothes. However, Fessal again starting singing Jumbo Bwana song which lifted mood and making us completely foret about the cold. Our experience was so good, we decided to use Imara Tour for other tour trips in Zanzibar. We were so happy to see him again and had complete trust in him. We felt we had a great connection and is attention to details is just outstanding. Whilst the tour was possibly the most amazing tour we ever had, I strongly believe that Fessal was a huge part of that success and can now understand why they have so many great reviews. If you are planning to do a safari trip in Tanzania, look no further, Imara tour is certainly an amazing option to consider. best tour operator in Zanzibar
We contracted 2 days private safari from Zanzibar to Mikumi park with Imara for a family of 5 persons and we had an amazing experience. Reservation was easy and Feisal provided clearly all necessary information in advance. He timely arranged pick up from hotel , ferry to Dar es Salam, comfortable van transportation to the park and a clean and spacious accommodation at Chamboo Village near the park. they even provided additional separated room for our daughter. At the safari Godfrey, the guide, show us in an open jeep all common zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes,...and then he tried hard for lions until he spotted a lioness in the middle of the Savannah that we could see at very close distance and by ourselves. Thanks Godfrey !!!
If you are planning to do a either a tour in Zanzibar or a Safari my strong recommendation you do it with Imara. it is a local tour operator led by Feisal who was always very kind, helpful, responsible and well organised. An unforgettable experience
I first contacted Fessal via safaribookings.com and wasn't sure where my friend and I wanted to go or for how long. Fessal was so patient, preparing different quotes for us until we found the ideal package. He stayed in contact with us from that time, throughout and answered any queries we had. He took care of everything. All we needed to do, was be ready to be picked up at the agreed time from our accommodation.
We visited a local maasai tribe on the first day, we had a full day safari in the Mikumi National Park on day 2, and travelled home early on day 3 for a well earned rest.
All of our meals were provided, as was bottled water, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
On the day of the safari, Fessal and Goddfrey took amazing care of us, answered all of our questions about the park and the animals and couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable, happy and having the time of our lives.
If you want an upbeat atmosphere, indepth knowledge of the animals and to have everything taken care of for you, please don't book anyone other than Imara Tours Zanzibar! You won't regret it.

One of the friendliest people I have ever met on my travels.
The experience was wonderful, we were able to observe three of the "big five" from a very close distance. We were also lucky enough to observe a lot of young animals. My favourite thing by far was the sighting of baby elephants.
But even beyond that, the safari was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.
The whole team was very nice and courteous. They were able to tell us a lot about the animals, the country and the history of the country.
All in all, it was a very successful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
It was also great value for money.

An open-minded, courteous, polite and all in all a very nice person.
We had a wonderful experience.
After initially being a little exhausted from the journey, every bit of tiredness disappeared the moment we got into the National Park.
It took less than five minutes before we encountered the first animals.
From then on, it got better by the minute.
We saw everything we had hoped to see, and that combined with the wonderful nature and the extremely friendly and very informative team definitely made the experience unforgettable.
We enjoyed every second of this experience and would love to come back.

Kind, attentive, reliable, easy communication.
We did a 2 nights/3 days Safari tour in Mikumi park. It was such an amazing experience! We were lucky to see the Tanzanian "Big 5" riding through the park, making longer stops wherever we wished to. We also had the chance to visit a Maasai village the first afternoon, learning about traditions and rituals and how life looks like for members of the community in today's time and society.
Fessal did a great organisation and, together with his colleagues, made us feel very welcomed, safe and shared interesting insights and information. The car ride to Mikumi from Daressalaam was very comfortable, accommodation at Bastian lodge just outside the national park was great, too.
Definitely a tour guide to recommend. Asante sana!
