Amazing, friendly and welcoming!
We arranged a second tour with Imara Tours after a wonderful day in Stone Town and Prison Island. We then booked very easily a few days later to go to Mnemba - snorkelling in the morning!
Our guide Fessal was great at communicating the details and clear with everything that the tour would entail. He very kindly sourced everything we needed for the day.
Everyone we met throughout the day who worked with Fessal (the taxi driver and the boat captain) was lovely! Everyone was very friendly.
We were shown the best areas to see the fish and felt very safe at all times (this was my first time snorkelling!).
Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zanzibar - the service was just as wonderful the 2nd time around.
Thank you to Imara and Fessal for making our holiday very memorable and special.

Fessal is passionate, knowledgable and friendly
Fessal was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. This was our first tour in Zanzibar and he made it so memorable and special. Fessal had all the facts and was super friendly - a pure joy to spend time with. The taxi/ boat was always ready for us and Fessal made us feel most welcome and comfortable at all times. We would recommend him to everyone!

Amazing!
I had a great tour with Fessal. He has a lot of knowledge about his country and was able to explain a lot to us which impressed me. He is very friendly and was never annoyed. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe with him. He always made sure that everyone was OK and always had a smile on his face. I travel a lot and so far this was my best tour with Fessal. I can only recommend the tours with him and will definitely come back to go on a safari with him.

Excellent, well informed guide!
I joined Imara tours for a daytrip to Jozani forest and a spice farm.
Fessal is a really nice and good guide. I highly recommend him. He didn't only share information about the locations that we visited, but was also happy to tell me much more about daily life and society. You really feel that he pours his heart into this company/job.
If you have doubts: book this local company. Most of the trips are offered by international organizations. This is so much better.
Interesting and comprehensive set
We toured Prison Island and Stone Town in one day and spice farm other day. We were able to plan the days according to our own schedules. Excellent price-performance ratio. A lot was learned. Whatever was asked, there was a comprehensive answer. Strong recommendation for Imara Tour. :)
