Sox was extremely knowledgeable, safe and fun!
The tour was so much fun! We were so well taken care of with amazing food, comfortable sleeping tents with provided pads and bags, and the locations we went to we saw so many animals that we didn’t expect to see. Sox knew everything about the animal tracks, the animal burrows, the nightly patterns and all the different types of birds. We had an amazing experience!

An amazing, immersive mobile Safari in the Okavango Delta!
Our 10 day mobile safari was so much more than we could have even imagined. Sox, our guide, was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful to answer all of our questions and explain the way of life “in the bush.” We experienced multiple sites, each with their own special highlights from animals sightings to unique landscapes.
We were a small group with Sox as our guide and Kapappa as camp assistant, who was so helpful and made incredible meals for our whole time. The camp set up was great, easy to erect tents, with bush ablutions (and shower), fridge in the van to keep our beers/drinks cold (very important) and power to charge when we needed it.
The trip was expertly guided by Sox and we felt excited, safe and immersed in our safari experience from start to finish!
I Would highly recommend this trip, and would like to thank Sox and Kappapa for making it so special!

A wonderfully immersive, exciting, (delicious!) and relaxing trip with a super knowledgable guide
Our bush camping trip into the Okavango Delta and Chobe River front was incredible. We met our incredible guide Sox at the airport, he took us to load up on refreshments for the safari and then we headed out for 10 incredible days camping in the bush.
Life around the camp fire at the end of a long day on game drives is amazing. Kapapa our cook made delicious food for us every morning, lunch time and evening. We loved the camping element of the trip as we were super close to all of the sights and sounds of the bush - and we felt very unplugged!
Sox took us out on morning and evening game drives, or walks where appropriate, and we saw endless wildlife. It was amazing. Sox is super knowledgable about all of the Bostwana wildlife and we learnt a lot about not just what we saw, but what we could hear and the tracks we could find as well. He was really friendly and a great great guy to be around
Could not recommend more highly!
Great
In 2016 Sox was our guide for a private familiy tour (4 persons). At that time he was working for a different safari company. We travelled from the Victoria-falls through the Caprivi-strip to the Okavangodelta. From there we went to Makgadikgadi-Pans and to the Chobe National Park.
Sox cared very well about us during those two weeks. We felt save and comfortable all the time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We could learn a lot about the wildlife and his home country and we had a lot of fun with him, especially in the evening at the campfire. Thanks for a great time!

Great!
Sox, our tour guide, actually worked for a different safari company when we went with him but he was the one with us the whole time. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and we felt safe and secure with him. We highly recommend him as a guide and know that he will do whatever he can to make your safari fun, exciting, and successful!

it was an adventure, excellent
I was picked up on time at the airport. After we greeted each other, he invided me to a restaurant, drinking a beer and eat a bite...., perfect.
So, adventure startet, and next day we drove into the bushes.
He inquired about my well-being every day. The food was exzellent..., breakfast, lunch and dinner with a bottle of wine.
The tents were always clean and the outdoor shower is a must for every safari tourist 😉. The water was nice and warm, just under the sky, the animals around. The team was really very well-rehearsed. Setting up and dismantling the tents was in time and in tune. The guide knew a lot about animals and behavior and was always ready for a joke.
One day we were surrounded by a herd of buffalo, just in the center..., and i felt safe, because of my guide, he's a good man.
It was one of my most beautifull trips, i ever did. It's a must for every tourist.

Simply the best
We could not believe how good this mobile safari turned out. Way beyond expectations. Our guide Sox demonstrated exceptional knowledge of both the game parks on our safari- Moreni and Chobe. He knows this area like the back of his hand and we saw pretty much all the key animals and lots if them. Lions, elephants, giraffes, all the antelopes in large numbers. Also African painted dogs and leopards, not to mention an enormous herd of buffalo and many warthog and smaller animals. Rich birdlife and crocodiles as well. Sox diligently pointed them out and ensured that we missed nothing. And he ensured that we were always safe and comfortable. The mobile safari worked brilliantly with travel on alternative days and well planned sundowner stops for drinks and glorious sunsets
The camp food was excellent and the crew were super friendly and helpful. And showers every second day! Comfortable tents and everything managed well by the crew. All we needed to do was to enjoy!
Value exceeded our most unreasonable expectations.

A memorable and incredible safari with an outstanding guide
We had a brilliant time on this fully serviced mobile camping safari and would highly recommend it to others wanting to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Botswana National Parks (Moremi and Chobe). We were a group of seven which worked really well in our great safari vehicle. Theno, aka Sox, is an exceptional guide and tracker. His wealth of knowledge, experience and love for the animals and the bush adds so much to the experience. What we saw with the range of animals and bird life was just incredible (prides of lions, hippos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, impala, baboons and more). Sox is also supported by an excellent team who do an amazing job with terrific meals and creating such comfortable campsites which are not shared with others. Nothing was ever too much trouble and there was always a wonderful atmosphere around the dining table and campfire. From a sunrise cuppa to a sunset gin and tonic everyday was such an awesome experience. Thank you Sox and the team for a fantastic holiday.

Amazing trip of a life time, saw so many amazing animals and really enjoyed the experience
Sox and his team were so accommodating. We went with a group of seven and had the most incredible time. We did the 12 day mobile camping Safari and saw so many incredible animals. Sox and his team had the most delicious food (3 meals a day and 2 snacks). Making camping in the wilderness, feel luxurious. I could not recommend this holiday enough so much fun.
Could not recommend enough!!

The most committed, knowledgable and happy tour operator ever! We loved Sox and his team.
As a first time safari traveller Sox's Okavanga Expeditions tour far exceeded my wildest expectations. I was worried that as it was a camping safari I might miss the creature comforts of Lodge style safaring. I would now recommend to any body to do this mobile safari in preference to the lodge approach.
We left Sydney, as a group of friends with an age range of 18-79 .
The team were terrific and handled all the negative aspects of camping, they set up our stretcher beds( fully made each night with pillow, sheets, blanket and doona. The ensuite out the back of the tent was very comfortable too and the showers were hot and more than adequate.
We were warm and cosy in the tents and we just loved having drinks by the campfire and being so much closer to nature as we ate our delicious meals together prepared by Meambo and his assistants Mado and Malaki.
The food and beverages were varied and exceptional.
Then the main purpose of the safari... those animals ! We found out why Sox has such a great reputation as he tracked and lead us to the most fabulous animal encounters. Leopards up trees, mass buffalo on the move ,hundreds of elephants and zebras and giraffes in so many varied societal groups . Sox's excellent tracking abilities lead us to enjoy a variety in animal and bird sightings. We were overwhelmed with the numbers of lions and lionesses we saw. We witnessed painted dogs hunting and then returning to their pack to regurgitate food for their pups . This is quite a rare experience and one I will never forget. We saw a porcupine early one morning with amazing spikey spines.
The vehicle was comfortable and we were warm and snug as we took of each morning excited to see what we would discover. Not one day did we return disappointed. a truly memorable holiday.
I cant wait to do another camping safari with Sox and his team. Six stars rating!!!
