Excellent experience planning an African safari!
5/5

I was at a loss of where to begin planning a multi-country tip to Africa consisting of a safari, Victoria Falls and Namibia dune experience. After researching I came upon Discover Africa, and am so thankful I did. With Diane's help we were able to visit Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe with all the transportation, lodging and food logistics worked out. All we had to do was show up and everything was taken care of for us. Diane worked within our budget, provided excellent lodging options and truly delivered a once in a lifetime trip. If you are planning to visit Africa I would recommend going with this company, they make your life so much easier!

Professional, knowledgeable, met all of our expectations resulting in a memorable experience
5/5

This was our third trip with Discover Africa and once again it was a memorable experience, well organized, thorough and exactly what we had requested. Megan is the best.

Our trip was to the Okavango Delta and included flights into the Kwando Concession via Maun from Cape Town. The Camps were well run, clean with good food and friendly staff. The guides and trackers were knowledgeable and helpful and we got real close to many animals and birds and kills.

Because the camps are fairly isolated, game viewing was a pleasure and very private and the tracking experiences out of this world. We were treated to an in-depth discussion of animals, birds, bushes and trees and their use in traditional medicine. Over the course of the 5 days we encountered close to 30 species of animals, over 60 species of birds and over 50 types of vegetation.

All in all, a memorable and delightful experience

Thank you Megan and Discover Africa

We booked two day safari at Krugar National Park. Megan Warrington was our planner. She gave us many options to select from & made necessary changes per our request. I would highly recommend them for your trip to Africa.

Megan at Discover Africa organised an incredible tour for us.
5/5

We had a rough idea of a trip to South Africa & Zimbabwe but we were unsure of selecting accommodation, transfers etc. Megan at Discover Africa prepared an itinerary for us which we worked together on to produce a trip of a lifetime. Megan selected some fantastic hotels for us to stay in, organised all the internal flights, transfers and day tours. The trip ran smoothly, every day was an amazing experience & the quality of operators, accommodation and transfers was superb. We organised a zoom meeting with Megan to finalise the itinerary and payment details. Megan was lovely to deal with and no question was a trouble for her. She supplied her own contact details for us to use before the trip & while we were travelling. Every detail was covered. We had a trip of a lifetime and we would highly recommend Megan at Discover Africa for anyone thinking of travelling to Africa.
Our only advise is always remember to take an international covid vaccination certificate while travelling overseas.

Since i have never been to the African continent, i was rather hesitant to accept a wedding invitation to South Africa. But the groom and bride gave such a trusted recommendation for Discover Africa services, i was really glad to go with their itinerary. Their land tranfers, hotel bookings and day tours won my top marks for excellent services and reliability. My tour coordinator Lana was on top of the planning, heard my feedback and met my travel needs fully. I love to visit South Africa again and definitely will use Discover Africa services again. Thank you so much for everything!

Best holiday ever
5/5

Fantastic holiday. Tintswalo Monor was absolutely ideal for our family party of 11. We had the entire house to ourselves and were looked after really well. Fabulous food for all, wonderful safaris and a couple of surprises which made the whole holiday a magical experience for all of us.
Then off to Sun City for a few days which was also great.
Matthys looked after us extremely well from the moment we first contacted him. All queries answered very promptly and all changes made efficiently. The holiday itself was very well organised..all transfers on time, clean vehicles, polite and helpful drivers.
If you want a trouble free holiday of a lifetime , then Discover Africa is the company to contact.

We were very satisfied with this trip from end to end.
We experienced so many awesome things in Namibia.
The guy from the rental car agency gave us all the tips required to have a safe trip.
We never had any issue regarding the trip except one night in the desert camp lodge where our booking has not been approved properly. But it was solved very quickly.

Great All Inclusive trip
5/5

We had an excellent all inclusive trip to Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park. The two lodges offered great, but distinct experiences. Over six days we had multiple game drives. We saw elephants, cape buffaloes, kudus, bush bucks, giraffes, crocs, hippos and impala, among many other animals. We visited the falls twice, including by helicopter. It was worth the cost, due to the quality and uniqueness of the accommodations, food, and available drinks. Staff at both lodges and the guides were always available and flexible to our last minute changes to itineraries, based on our energy. I recommend buying the multi entry visa when you arrive in Zimbabwe, if you are going to Botswana. I also recommend flying Airlink from Johannesburg, rather than Fast Jet.

Unforgettable safari experience in Southern Africa
5/5

Our experience started months before during the planning with the amazing Susan. This was our first time visiting Africa, and she was always very open, communicative and listened to all of our wishes and wants and made us feel like we were in very good hands.

We had a set budget for this trip, but wanted to celebrate our 30th birthdays in a memorable way, so Susan made sure to encompass all the highlights within our set budget.

Our tour was a 9 Day Botswana and Victoria Falls Safari.

We started with 3 nights at the Oddball's Camp within the Moremi Game Reserve (On the East side of the Okavango Delta). This was a beautiful experience. The camp is deep in the heart of the Okavango, and only accessible by light aircraft (where you can see beautiful aerial views of the Delta). Oddballs’ offers no motorised activities, so it is really just you and nature.

We had the luxury of being the only guests at the camp at the time, so we had a lot of privacy and attention from the staff.

Every day, we had two game walks, which was a beautiful opportunity to explore the game reserve by foot and really be one with nature and animals. Our guide was Raps, who was incredibly knowledgeable and had great eyes for animals even from afar.

With Raps as our fantastic guide we were able to track down a Lion, see multiple herds of elephants and zebras, buffalos and pods of hippos. And even a leopard!

We also had the excitement of seeing Lions during dinner, 2 out of the 3 nights we were there.

On our last full day, that is when I celebrated my 30th birthday, and it was truly magical. Pony (the camp leader) helped organise a private candlelit dinner on the deck and surprised me with traditional dance and songs performed by the entire staff. It was truly unforgettable. And hat's off to Kay and the catering staff, the food was divine!

Oddballs has definitely found a special place in my heart, and I will always remember Raps, Pony and Doc dancing while we took off to head over to Chobe.

Our time at Chobe was also amazing. This time our safaris were either drives or by boat. We stayed at Chobe Bush Lodge in Kasane, and the whole pick up and transfer went smoothly. We did not need to wait at all.

We had two activities per day and even had our own private boat ride and were able to visit Namibia for a day trip. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food, delicious!

Here I will also have to commend Susan's amazing communication skills and proactiveness, as I had forgotten a bag in the previous camp and informed Susan about it, and she was incredible and managed to have my bag brought back to me in less than 24h!

The drives in Chobe were completely different every day. We were able to see massive pods of hippos, a pride of 15 lions, wildebeest, crocodiles and an incredible amount of gorgeous birds.

Our final stop was in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The hotel was beautiful. Shongwe Lookout. With a lookout tower to view the Zambezi River and the falls' spray.

Here we were able to view the falls from all angles! By foot (prepared to get soaked, but such a fun experience), by helicopter (we had a 12 min ride) and by tram during sunrise. (with the Bamba tram)

All in all, an INCREDIBLE, UNFORGETTABLE experience, and I could not thank Susan & Discover Africa enough.

Highly recommend, and already excited to book the next tour with you! <3
