Absolutely amazing
5/5

We have just returned yesterday from our discover Africa honeymoon trip booked by Susan. It was amazing from start to finish. We started out in Cape Town, we visited boulders beach, v&a waterfront for the boat rides etc and some shopping. The hotel Susan picked was located in the perfect spot, right near many restaurants and to travel we used Ubers which all in all was very cheap to use. Our next stop was Kruger national parks which was by far my favourite part of the trip. Lion sands tinga lodge was our stay and the 2 daily game drives was amazing. Even though it was an early start it was all worth it for what animals we saw and no game drive was the same. Our last stay was Victoria falls , hotel amazing and the views were amazing. The only down fall of that part was you couldn’t take a walk etc out of the hotel due to animals could be roaming so could only use taxis/ shuttles which could end up expensive and being on a bed and breakfast basis ended up being expensive buying food at the hotel. But other than that all in all the whole stays was incredible and a once in a life time experience. We say we will be back in the future with our children when they are older. Also, Susan was amazing whenever I needed help to sort anything out. Currency/ booking my flights etc so i made sure we booked the right ones. Thank you again

Our first trip to Africa - superbly designed by Vihann from Discover Africa.
5/5

This was our first trip to Africa. We had already decided on Botswana but needed guidance as to the best camps to suit our preference for good bird spotting as well as seeing animals large & small, walking safaris, boat & mokoro excursions in the Okavango Delta. We also wanted to stay a good few days at each camp & really get the feel of the camp & the area, rather than rushing from one to another spending only 2 or 3 nights at each. Vihann paid close attention to the things that interested us & put together an itinerary which perfectly suited our needs. It was also wothin our budget. This consisted of 5 nights each at 3 camps, Leroo La Tau, Nxamaseri Island & Camp Okavango. All 3 camps are run by Desert & Delta, & we will separately review the camps elsewhere. Highlights included large numbers of giraffe, elephant, zebra & the many different antelopes at Leroo La Tau; extraordinary birdlife at Nxamaseri (almost matched by the other 2 camps); close encounters with hippo, crocodile & (on no fewer than 3 different walks) lions at Camp Okavango. Vihann arranged the camps & internal flights, & ensured everything ran smoothly. He also answered our numerous questions patiently. Desert & Delta combine comfort, good facilities, expert guiding & excellent food with something even more important - a genuinely friendly & joyful atmosphere that is more than simple "professional" friendliness. The camps are also very efficiently run. Desert & Delta's style suited our preference for camps where guests & staff mingle, & the atmosphere is sociable, something else which Vihann had also taken on board when putting together our trip. We would very highly recommend Discover Africa.

Flawless South African Holidays
5/5

It was an amazing holiday! First time in SA, and we had 8 days to visit Kruger Park and Cape Town. Matthys was our travel expert, and he arranged our tour in a smart and super convenient way, advising the best stay & safari options within our budget. Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Camp in the middle of Kruger Park was epic! All domestic flights, meet&greet service, and hotel booking in Cape Town were awesome !

Thank you for your amazing work and care of your clients!!!

Wonderful safari trip organised with my interests at heart
5/5

I have just come back to Australia from 2 months travelling in Africa. Part of this time was a personal tour organised by Discover Africa just for me. I had found them online when I was researching safaris and made contact with them as their tours looked like they covered the sort of places I was interested in. I don't like big tour groups, and would have been happy in a small group, but Susan Swanpoel replied and said they'd organise whatever I wanted, just for me. Susan was super helpful with the organisation by email and a couple of Zoom calls. She designed the trip around my wishes of where I wanted to visit, and was super helpful when my friend decided to join me for half the trip. She worked within my budget, and changed things as necessary to suit me/us better. Everything was set out well, on paper, and also on a phone app that could be accessed offline whilst we were travelling. It may not have been the cheapest option for such a trip, but it was definitely excellent value for money!

The trip started in South Africa, went up through Victoria Falls and Botswana and on to Tanzania. Everywhere I travelled I could rely on being met at the airport and helped through to either my next flight, or my next accommodation. Airports can be quite intimidating, it was really great to have someone meet me. I was travelling on my own for half the trip, and always felt safe and well looked after. The hotels and safari lodges Susan had suggested were great. All the safari lodges were full board, and were absolutely wonderful. I especially loved Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana and Rufiji River Lodge in Tanzania.

I started in South Africa in January, and it was February by the time I was in the Serengeti and the Wildebeest were on the southern part of their migration. We saw so many thousands! Plus lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, so many birds, you name it, we saw it! February was a good time to be in Tanzania, because it is between two wet seasons. The guide we had for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro was really experienced and looked after us super well. It is an amazing part of the world! The small plane flights between safari locations in Tanzania were excellent, and saved us so much time ( and body shaking) as road travel is very slow over there, even when it looks like it's not that far ( the roads are pretty bad).

I loved the whole trip, and would not hesitate to use Discover Africa again if I ever revisit the African continent for another tour.
