I’d go on another safari with Landsman Experience in a heartbeat
5/5

Traveling with Landsman Experience was an extraordinary adventure that ranks among the best of my life. Joining a group of 15 photographers ranging from professionals to novices, I anticipated capturing images of animals I had only dreamed of seeing. The whole experience surpassed my expectations. Not only do I have the shots of a lifetime, but I also left with an appreciation and understanding of the Tanzanian culture which has had a profound impact on me. We visited a Maasai village, ate at a local family’s home, observed the bushmen hunting and learned how the Datoga tribe lives off of recycled material.

The guides were deeply knowledgeable about animal behavior, which lead us to seeing things like a pride of 11 lions eating a giraffe, over a hundred hippos splashing in the river, and seeing all of the Big 5!! Let me tell you, it’s not easy! I couldn’t even spot a lion that was in a bush 5 feet from me. Thank goodness for the guides!

After my first safari, I know that if ever get the opportunity to go on another I would never venture into the bush without a guide and I would definitely choose Landsman Experience again. Honestly, one of my favorite parts about the safari was getting to know the guides. They work extremely hard, but they also know how to make the experience delightful! Asante sana from the bottom of my heart!

Amazing Safari in Tanzania
5/5

My 6 day safari tour in Tanzania was absolutely amazing. We went to various parks and saw ALL of the animals we wanted to and so close up!! Our guide Mac was so kind and knowledgeable! He went above and beyond answering questions and sharing so much knowledge about the animals and the environment. I hope I can go back to do this tour again one day.

I am a high school teacher so my safari guide even agreed to zoom with my class and explain to them the effects of climate change in Tanzania!!

Gerald was experienced, professional, and most importantly he was very personal.
5/5

Our trip to Kenya and Tanzania was a trip of a lifetime. We were totally amazed at how affordable the 22 day trip was. The U.S. dollar goes a long way in Africa. We have traveled to many countries using tour operators, but the Landsman experience was outstanding. Our every need and request was important to Landsman's professionals and they went to great lengths to satisfy our every request. Our daily briefings were exceptional, after dinner each evening, allowing us to understand and be ready for the next day's activities. We were fortunate to see all of the "Big Five." Our guide continued to amaze us taking us to locations many of the other companies didn't go to and we were always rewarded with great finds. We made several moves from camp to camp and Landsman made sure we were treated with the greatest respect and service available at each location; he didn't just accept their standard service.

Trip of a Lifetime!
5/5

My husband and I were invited to join a group of friends on a trip to Kenya and Tanzania. The trip itself was amazing. Our trip leader, Gerald, was fantastic. By the time we met him in
person, he knew each couple, their particular wants and needs, and he took care of every detail of the trip. On this trip, we thought we were focusing primarily to see animals. What we experienced was way beyond that; the trip was taken to the next level via coordinated visits with the local people, be that in the Kibera slums in Nairobi, speaking with the women of a local Masai village, or meeting with a local family that made banana beer. The animals were absolutely amazing, Gerald wa professional but personable, and the accommodations were all different but great
experiences. But visiting the people where they lived and worked was the cherry on top of this amazing trip. Kudos to Gerald for leading this trip of a lifetime. Your extensive knowledge and love of both Kenya and Tanzania, fun personalty, and attention to detail made this a trip of a lifetime!

A Memorable Safari Adventure in Kenya and Tanzania

My safari adventure in Kenya and Tanzania was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I booked the tour, I was impressed with the level of communication and professionalism. The company was transparent, easy to reach, and eager to answer all my questions, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned and accounted for.

Service and Reliability
The service throughout the journey was impeccable. From the guides to the drivers, every team member was not only highly skilled but also warm, welcoming, and eager to share their insights. Their reliability was remarkable; everything was perfectly timed, with no delays or last-minute surprises, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. We always felt safe and well taken care of, with excellent accommodations and vehicles that were comfortable and well-equipped.

Value for Money
Given the level of service, comfort, and unforgettable experiences provided, this tour was absolutely worth every penny. The accommodations exceeded my expectations, blending luxury with an authentic safari feel, and the meals were top-notch. I felt that I received outstanding value for what I paid, and I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a safari that offers both adventure and comfort.

The Safari Experience
Seeing the “Big Five” was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. Our guide had a deep knowledge of the animals’ habits and habitats, which led us to encounter lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and even the elusive rhino! Each encounter felt intimate, and the guides made sure to respect the animals’ space, which allowed us to witness these majestic creatures in their natural environment.

We also had a chance to immerse ourselves in the vibrant Maasai and Samburu cultures. Our visits to local villages were enlightening and respectful, offering a genuine look into their daily lives, customs, and traditions. This cultural immersion added an entirely new dimension to the journey, making it not only an adventure but also an educational experience.

Educational Insight
Our guides were true experts, enriching our experience with fascinating facts about the wildlife, landscapes, and local cultures. Their passion for conservation was evident, and it was inspiring to learn about the efforts in place to protect these incredible ecosystems. I came away with a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation work, which was one of the unexpected rewards of this trip.

In Conclusion
Overall, my safari in Kenya and Tanzania was an unforgettable journey. The combination of thrilling wildlife encounters, cultural immersion, and educational insight made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would highly recommend to anyone considering a safari. The team’s dedication to creating a flawless experience truly stood out, and I left with wonderful memories, new knowledge, and a profound respect for the beauty of East Africa.

10 days mom and daughter trip: simply superb
5/5

I took my mom to her first Africa trip organizing a 10 days of Safari covering the 3 main spots of Tanzania.
We have visited Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti NP.
From the first moment we have landed we were very much welcomed by Innocent and Mac from Landsman Experience.
Those 10 days were spectacular from the game drives to the local experiences we had. Landsman did everything they could to make us feel at home.
The accommodations, the jeep, the service (food&drinks), their attention to my mum and treating her as if theirs….. everything was 100% perfect.
Really appreciated also all the information we got on the local culture, history, animals and the rest.
Also during the whole trip, Gerald was always in touch to make sure that everything was proceeding smoothly. He had to even manage and managed so well a last minute change of plans.
I am already organizing my next trip there; there is so much to see and experience and I know that I can count on Landsman

Amazing 45 year Wedding Anniversary safari with Gerald of Landsman Experience!
5/5

From our first contact with Gerald before travelling to Africa he answered all questions and queries promptly and with his help we put together an itinerary to best suit our needs! He met us at our hotel on arrival in Arusha to go through the tour in detail and provide more information, timings and answered any questions we had. He was polite, extremely knowledgeable and we are so glad we chose Landsman for our first safari in Tanzania. We found him to be a superb guide and keen to make sure we had the best experience and see all the animals that we wanted! Sometimes getting us to sites before anybody else arrived ensuring we got some unique footage and amazing memories. Whilst on safari we celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary and Gerald organised a hot air balloon trip with Shine Balloon Safaris again another excellent choice and fantastic experience. He also presented us with a lovely gift and cards and organised for the hotel to provide us with a heart shaped cake and celebratory dancers to present it to us, which made the day so special and was a lovely touch and very thoughtful! On the safaris his knowledge of the animals and habitats was brilliant and interesting and we can honestly say that the safari far exceeded our expectations. We felt safe at all times with Gerald and he was genuinely keen to make sure we had the best time and we can only thank him sincerely for achieving that! We can highly recommend him and his company for the caring personal touch in the way they conduct their business.

Gerald Lane was the most caring and experienced guide to have traveled with.
5/5

It is hard to put into words all that we did and saw with Gerald. He knew just about all there could be to know about Africa and gave us that knowledge. Most importantly, for me was the level of caring he had. He made sure all of us in the group saw all that there was to see, while caring for a fellow traveler that fell ill. His level of caring is phenomenal, his knowledge is phenomenal. To put it one word, Gerald was phenomenal. Would love to travel with him in the future.

Knowledgable guides with a good sense of humour
5/5

This was my first safari experience and I genuinely don’t think it would have been as good without our guide, Gerald. He was polite, interesting and took an interest in getting to know the people in the group and what we wanted to get out of our experience. Gerald struck a great balance between being informative without giving us information overload and he was a lovely person to spend time on game drives and during dinner in the evenings. He even gets the English humour! I would highly recommend him.

Knowledgeable dedicated to providing his clients with an exceptional experience.
5/5

We went during low season and still got to see an abundance of wildlife. Yes we saw all the big 5 and so much more. Our driver went beyond what we expected ( one evening during dinner he went back out looking for a leopard & found it returning to tell us he had a surprise for us so we were able to observe & take photos without other vehicles in our way!!!) . He was attentive to our needs & wishes by adjusting plans to accommodate us. We found our driver/guide good humoured as we interacted with him. Our safaris exceeded our expectations & was the highlight of our whole African trip.
