Great Kilimanjaro and Village trip
Thank you Rebeca and Emanuel for a great experience in Arusha, Tansania!
Borbo Safari organized for us a seven day Kilimanjaro hike with an incredible crew of guides (Hassan and Godlove), cook Fundi and the porters. Everything went smooth!
Borbo offers two rooms to stay with the family. Also trips to their home village. This is a local experience you don’t get with other companies. Highly recommended!! You can combine the village trip with Safari in Serengeti for example.
We enjoyed our time with the family a lot and became good friends. Unforgettable!!

attentive and dedicated
Rebecca, a manager of Borbo Safari invited me her house. I stayed at their house for 4 days with her family.
They treated me as a member of their family. And She showed me around in Arusha. I really feel grateful to her . I didn’t go Safari because of my condition. But my Japanese friend who went Safari highly recommended and inspired by that. And price is also reasonable.

Family away from home - still have contact and miss them a lot
Hello everyone,
We had a 5-day experience with Borbo Safaris. It was thoroughly positive.
First we were picked up at the airport by Rebecca and Emanual and even then they were very helpful and friendly. We stayed at their home the whole time and also got to know their three children. We also received a very warm welcome here and through the contact with the children we also learned a lot about the culture and life in Tanzania.
We did 2 tours with Borbo Safaris. One was the Barbati tour and the other was a two-day safari to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Both tours will remain in our memories for different reasons.
1st Barbati Tour
The Barbati tour leads to the families of Emanuel and Rebecca. It is a longer drive, but in general you have to be prepared for a few hours in the car. Once we arrived, we first visited the lake and then learned a lot about the local nature and culture (e.g. the cultivation of corn and the illegal distillation of alcohol). Then we continued on and got to know the whole family, ate with them and slept on the farm. After being woken up by the sound of chickens, we went to Rebecca's family and then back home.
All in all, it was very exciting, but also adventurous at the same time. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a deeper insight into life in Tanzania.
2nd Safari
The two-day safari was perfect for us. We were picked up in the morning and brought back the next evening. In between were hours full of amazement, enthusiasm and overwhelming nature.
First we went to Tarangire Park - home of elephants. And this is no exaggeration. Less than 5 minutes into the park, the first elephants walked right past our car, ate the grass next to us and there were even baby elephants. Our friendly and courteous guide always explained all the information about the wildlife with great expertise. He also knew exactly where to go next, so that we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, ostriches, buffaloes, monkeys and many more animals at close range on the very first day. In the evening, we went to the lodge for an excellent meal and good entertainment.
The next day was even better than the first. The Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacle of nature. Once again we saw lots of lions, hippos, zebras, flamingos and even a rhino. It is also exciting to see how different the vegetation is. The selection of the two parks complemented each other wonderfully.
I still have no words for these 5 days and this experience. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. Thank you for your hospitality, support and kindness, Rebecca. Thank you for your energy, planning and organization, Emanuel. Thank you for your love, joy and openness, Agness, Bonnie, Robin. We really feel like part of the Borbo family.

Borbo Safari treated us like a family and we are so glad, that we enjoyed so much time with them.
Hello there,
When I show the pictures of my trip at home, most people ask me how we managed to get so close to nature and culture. The answer is actually Borbo Safari. We would never have gotten such an insight into life in Tanzania if Emanuel and Rebecca hadn't taken us in and shown us around.
We would never have had such a great safari if they hadn't organized everything for us.
I would like to briefly expand on these two points.
We traveled through Tanzania as a couple and it is always difficult to have a truly local experience. That's why these two were so lucky. It was no problem at all to visit the family with them, to learn how to cook, which plants grow where and how people live here. We were able to make music and dance with them and really live. Perhaps the best thing about it is that we are still in contact and it feels like family.
The safari was also amazing. We were able to see elephants so close that we could almost touch them. We saw lions sitting in front of us and looking us in the eye. The list of animals is long: hippos, giraffes, monkeys, hyenas, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, flamingos, ostriches, wild boars, buffalos and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. The nature in the two nature reserves was breathtaking. There is really nothing that we missed.
A huge THANK YOU for everything. With you, the trip was more like coming home and we will never forget you and that.

Unique safari experience
We booked a 6-day camping safari with Emanuel.
Everything was perfectly organised, from the pick-up at the airport, the stay at Emanuel and Rebeca's home before and after the safari and, above all, the safari itself. Our guide Emanuel told us a lot about the country, its people and animals and always knew where the animals were. Thanks also to Dulla our cook for the good food.

safari with family spirit
We have just returned from a 10 day tour in Tanzania organized by Borbo Safaris and we couldn't be happier. Safari through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Arusha National Park, a marvel. And then the opportunity to live with Emanuel and his family, which from now on is also ours. Very good price.

Best safari experience ever!
Hard to describe the incredible time we had there. We started by being welcomed at Emanuel & Rebecca’s, who instantly made us feel like at home and shared their beautiful culture. Then we went on a 5-days safari and we didn’t have to worry about a thing, which made the whole experience unforgettable. Our guides were so knowledgeable, patient, big hearted people. I will never forget this first safari experience in Tanzania and will recommend it to anyone coming to Arusha. Thank you again rafiki & big hugs familia!
