Pilanesberg Day Safari
I booked a 1-day guided tour to the Pilanesberg National Park through Mmilo Tours. It was very easy to deal with Mmilo Tours via their website and email. Their communication with me was excellent. The tour package included a car with driver/guide. Everything went very smoothly. The guide was excellent and the tour was great. I have been to South Africa seven times (both business and holiday) and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Mmilo again in the future.

Excellent travel Agency, wonderful experience
I had one of the most wonderful experiences in my life. Patrick from Mmilo Tours arranged an unforgettable trip for me and my family to Pretoria and Kruger National Park. Patrick’s is a great professional and person, he arranged every detail of my trip (picking us at the airport, transportation to the hotel, tours to the best sanctuaries in Pretoria, he assigned us a very experienced and respectful guide for the 2 days in Pretoria, transportation back to the airport to go to Kruger)
We had another transportation waiting for us at the Nelspruit Airport to go to the park. The Shishangeni Lodge was beautiful, we even enjoyed the pool in our free time. The safaris were great, we saw all the animals even lots of lions!
Patrick is a great person and very professional. He offered me lots of options. He was also very patience with all my questions.
The whole experience was better than I expected.

Seamless, reasonably priced 3-day visit to Kruger National Park
We registered for the 3-Day Budget Friendly Crocodile River Kruger Park Safari. This package included transport to and from Johannesburg, two nights at the Prestana Kruger Lodge, and four three-hour game drives through the park. The price was in line with other budget safari packages we saw, but allowed for the maximum time inside the park of any option we found in that price range.
We were extremely satisfied with the booking service provided by Mmilo Tours. Everything went smoothly, and the staff was extremely responsive (even when we contacted them at 5 a.m. because our pickup for a game drive was a few minutes late!). Our transportation unfailingly departed on time and arrived early. We were also happy with the game drives with the rangers from the park. Although these were supposed to be group drives, because we were there at off-peak times we had one private drive and one shared with only one other couple. We were lucky to have had an exceptionally skillful ranger (Opa) on one of our drives. Overall we saw lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, giraffes, hyenas, African wild dogs, warthogs, kudu, wildebeests, and 5 (!!) leopards, usually from very close range.
We do recommend looking into Prestana Kruger Lodge before booking this tour to confirm you will be satisfied staying there. The location cannot be beat (right outside the entrance to the park so you don't have to waste time traveling to the gate for your game drives; balconies overlooking the river full of hippos and crocodiles). But the hotel itself is not really up to SA standards: the facilities are aging, there is no gym, and the service and food are mediocre. You should pick this tour if your priority is spending a lot of time in the park and not a lot of time getting there; not if your priority is relaxing in a luxury hotel.

Posted on May 3, 2024We use Pestana exactly as you put it for its perfect location. It is unequaled for a low-budget safari. We only use the recently refurbished riverside de luxe rooms with private balconies overlooking the river and views of animals in the Kruger. The views can be enjoyed while not on your drives arranged by Mmilo Tours in the park. There is another excellent Restaurant 3 minutes walk from Pestana for lunch. Pestana also has an a la carte menu which you can have instead if the buffet is not to your liking and we can reprice the package accordingly. I have today discussed arrangements for guests at Pestana to visit the fully equipped Malalane Squash and Fitness Gym next door. There is a gate from the Pestana property leading right to it. Management at Pestana has agreed to open this gate for guests wanting to go to the gym or the golf club. Just ask at Pestana reception. There is also another restaurant here and another big swimming pool.

Fantastic! Willem was incredibly knowledgable; the tour was exactly as advertised. Wonderful day!
The Cradle of Humankind is an incredible site. However, getting to it and actually experiencing it takes a lot of legwork. Going with an experienced guide made all the difference. Willem gave us context for the installations. The tour stops were incredibly useful; the museum added a rich dimension to the experience. I feel so fortunate to have found this tour.

Excellent tour to Kruger National Park
Mmilo tours was one of the 3 options we found in terms of good price/offer/recommendation for a 4 day Krueger with Panorama Tour and it did not dissapoint. Transfer from OR Tambo to our lodge was a bit uncomfortable as the minibus was absolutely full but not their fault as it is something controlled by a 3rd party (arrive early to the station to get a good seat). We had a driver waiting for us who took us to Pestana Krueger Lodge. The place is fantastic as it is located near to one of the gates of the park near the crocodile river and you can literally see animals coming for water. The overall stay in the lodge was awesome. Room could have newer furniture and a less noisy AC but overall rested very well. Our game drives were phenomenal except for day 1 as we did not see anything but again, part of the experience as they are wild animals. The panorama tour was great, only con was that our driver was very quiet (wouldve love for him to explain a bit more things) but a really nice person and enjoyed everything. Transport back to OR Tambo was much better as we arrived early and grabbed nice seats in the shuttle. Not the cheapest option but definitely worth every dollar. Would highly recommend it!

Effortless, experienced, efficient and organized
Patrick (Mmilo tours) and Willem (our personal tour guide, driver, pilot, spotter and game ranger) were excellent.
Patrick made the trip such a memorable experience.
Effortless booking process.
Efficiently Organised tours and accommodation across the Panoramic route through Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
Willem never left our side, entertained and educated us all. Took care of my family and we always felt safe and well taken care of.
Worth the extra cost to let them plan and guide your trip. I normally plan and drive all our road trips, having them do it for me, allowed me time to spend with my family, stress free and hassle free.
Doing these trips are so much easier when you have an experienced guide and tour operator planning the trip and routes for you.

Perfect 3-day trip to Pilanesberg
Mmilo Tours planned and made all the arrangements for a 3-day stay at Pilanesberg for our group of eight. It included transportation from Johannesburg, lodging and 6 safaris. Everything worked perfectly and we had such a wonderful time. Francois Rix was our driver and guide and took care of us during our stay. He was wonderful. Patrick, the owner of Mmilo, was so helpful and knowledgeable as we made the arrangements for the trip. I highly recommend Mmilo Tours.

The trip of a lifetime!
We are just back from an incredible 10 days in Southern Africa arranged by Mmilo Tours, and I feel compelled to tell the world: "Go to Africa!" It's amazing! We have traveled quite a lot, but this trip was truly the best of all. We were blown away by our close encounters with an unbelievable array of wildlife (in the safety and comfort of our jeep, of course) and the determination of our guides to give us the best experience possible. We came home with so many great memories, stories and photographs. Suffice it to say, we had high expectations for the trip, and it exceeded them all!
Credit goes to our fabulous tour company, Mmilo Tours. Starting with a warm welcome in the Johannesburg airport, we were met by experienced drivers and guides at every stop, our air travel in Africa was smooth as silk, and our accommodations were fantastic. The team at Mmilo Tours are pros. They will customize an unforgettable tour for you. (Just FYI, ours included three days at Kruger, three days at Victoria Falls, and three days at Chobe game lodge in Botswana.)

Kruger in 5 days
We are very impressed with Mmilo and Norman in particular. He was extremely knowledgeable about the location, found us great lodges to stay at in spite of heavy demand in August. Norman is exceptionally responsive. For example, our flights got delayed and we had to change our plans significantly. I called him in his middle of the night from the Chicago airport. He was extremely understanding and adapted to the situation beautifully. When we landed, our immigration at Johannesburg was long; he waited patiently outside for a couple of hours. When we exited immigration, Norman was extremely friendly with a case of water; it was great to see a friendly person in a foreign land. Of course, his planning of the lodges for what we wanted was exceptional. I would also like to give a great review on Wilhem, our driver and guide from Johannesburg to Kruger. He is extremely knowledgeable about all things Africa. And we were impressed that he runs a marathon in 3 hours 15 mins. Overall, I give these guys 10/10. Thanks, Norman!

Meticulous planner !
Four of us decided to tour SA for safari as well as to cover other attractions. When I contacted Patrick of Mmilo tours for safari, I enquired about them handling other parts of tour as well.
Patrick arranged a 6 hour tour of Johannesburg, covered panorama route, got us 3 days safari ( including two private safaris and a walking safari), booked us on a internal flight from Kruger Mpumalanga airport to Cape Town and arranged a wonderful 3 day tour of Cape Town. Their meticulous planning ensured that there was absolutely no hitch in our schedule.
Willem Heckroodt, our tour guide for Jo-berg and Panorama route was a polished gentleman with vast knowledge and experience.
Brenda, the untiring, charming lady at Cape Town was so full of energy and enthusiasm. Was so passionate about showing the things around.
All our stays: Maslow hotel, Sandton, Jo-berg, Dar Amane at Graskop, Pestana Kruger lodge at Kruger and Cape Milner at Cape Town were excellent.
Overall a very pleasant and comfortable experience with Mmilo tours . Would love to engage with them again if I were to go to SA again .
