Pilanesberg Safari, Elephant Sanctuary and Lion Reserve
I've had the opportunity to visit Johannesburg the past 4 years on business. Each time I've managed to arrange a bit of personal time during my trip. Each time I've used Mmilo Tours and been very happy with their services. This year I spent one night at the Bakubung Lodge in the Pilanesberg National Park enjoying an afternoon and early morning safari. We saw 4 of the big 5 in the park. Only the leopard was not seen. The accommodations and food were excellent. Pilanesberg is a great place to do a safari if you only have a few days. It's only a few hours from Johannesburg.
We also had an opportunity to visit an elephant sanctuary then spent a night at Ukutula Lion Reserve. Ukutula is a unique place where you can walk with lions on the savannah then play with baby lions. Truly a once in a life time experience. The accommodations are excellent and food was great.

Excellent trip at the right time of day
I had a solo safari with the Mmilo guide Willem, who picked me up at 0400 in Johannesburg, in time to be at Pilanesberg when the park opened at 0630. It is very important to go early in the day! Other tours were due to depart at 0900 and that would have been too late. We drove through the park for five hours and saw most of the Big Five -- lions on the road, elephants on the road, rhinos on the road - zebras and more. It was a fantastic experience and a great addition to a short visit to South Africa. The guide had many years of experience in the park, and was expert at spotting and identifying wildlife. I recommend Mmilo highly.

Have used Mmilo all over South Africa
We are currently living in South Africa and have used Mmilo Tours for several trips all over South Africa for us and family. Patrick is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of South Africa and is very responsive by phone and email. His recommendations are always spot on and he is open to one's preferences, too. I even had to modify a trip with a sudden injury that put me in a wheelchair right before a family member arrived for a visit and with Patrick's help we were able to complete the trip anyway. We are mostly self drive types but we will use him for our next safari. Can't wait!

Great trip, fantastic guide and service
After a very easy booking process where we received great suggestions and help picking our Kruger Safari Lodge, the airline we had booked decided to delay our flight by 14 hours; so a quick call to Mmilo from the airport and they sorted out all the necessary changes. They made the time we had into a fantastic trip, adjusting bookings and itinerary to create the best option and made sure we came away feeling like what had been a disappointment (delayed flight) into a great trip.
Our guide Willem had great knowledge and a real passion for the wildlife and the sharing of it with visitors. He made sure we got to see multiple examples of the big5 plus loads of other wildlife as we journeyed through Kruger National Park.
Throughout our trip Mmilo were easy to contact and quick to answer queries. We will definitely book with them next time we are planning a safari or South Africa trip.
