highly attentive to the entire family and flexible
5/5

We booked our 16 day holiday for our family (M51, F50, F16 and M14) with Ngotea on very short notice. Leonard and his team were able to arrange a great itinerary with both cultural and nature highlights. Culturewise, we loved the day-tour through Arusha, visiting the local market, banana and coffee plantation and waterfall. Special mention to Daniel our guide, who was great with the kids.
Naturewise, every day in the parks were highlights, Spotting the big 5 and many, many other animals, (cheetahs, hyena's, birds). Godliving was an excellent guide, tracking down animals and even predicting their tracks. His sense of humor and flexibility were highly appreciated.
The lodges the team booked were very nice, clean and spacious, as was the landrover-neatly cleaned out at the beginning of every day (and oh how dusty it was at the end of the day :) )

Leonard took the effort to meet us during our stayovers in Arusha (3 times), to make sure we were having a good time, and if we needed any changes to the program.

The last week of our trip we stayed in Zanzibar, all booked through Ngotea Distinctive Safaris. Upendo in the center of StoneTown -small family owned place with rooftop terrace, walking distance to the waterfront. And Upendo lodge on the east-coast of the island right opposite of The Rock restaurant. Upendo Lodge really fit out needs to chill out for a couple of days: small scale, nice restaurant and very nice staff.

Great experience
5/5

We came into contact with Leonard and his team through a contract person from Belgium.
The communication and preparation went well, we discussed our wishes and Leonard incorporated them into our unforgettable journey.
The moment of arrival in Tanzania the guide was ready, the accommodations were well taken care of and the guides are well informed and can tell a lot and know the beautiful places.
Thank you, we will definitely recommend you

Excellent communication and enthusiastic about the local tours
5/5

Prior to our 10 day safari tour, my family of 5 adults booked the Materuni Waterfall and Coffee tour with Leonard at ngoteasafaris in Arusha, TZ. Leonard was very responsive throughout our e mail booking process. His guide Dany picked us up in a very nice passenger van. Dany is very knowledgable about all the local culture and the Kilimanjaro area. We drove to the trail head for the hike to the Materuni Waterfall which is windy and bumpy. Dany was very patient with our questions and we started our education about the Materuni Tribe. The hike was beautiful - I'd say begineer to moderate level. The paths are narrow and it was a gorgeous day so there were other hikers. It is incredible to say you saw the waterfall from Mt. K. snows. The tour included a typical Materuni lunch made by the locals. All foods made on hot fires with natural grown fruits and plants. The banana soup was the stand out. My kids say it was their best lunch of our vacation! After lunch the Materuni members taught us how they make coffee up in the hills. What a great hands on experience. We crushed, roasted and drank the coffee that we made. The Materuni are wonderful people. They are welcoming and so joyful. Lots of singing! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is a long day from Arusha but worth it.

Boutique Safari Company
4/5

Ngotea Distinctive Safari is a small-scale boutique company, which is preferable over the big companies. They handpicked an excellent lodge from where the safari was perfectly organised - and we got excellent lunch boxes. Transfers from and to the airport were swift and punctial.
