An awesome experience - and don't let a disability put you off going on safari with Wild Planet!
5/5

Out of all the companies offering guided safaris in South Africa I'm so glad we chose Wild Planet Safari.
From the minute Ryan picked us up from Jo'burg airport to when we were dropped off everything was taken care of and we were very well looked after - that made the trip for me as I am disabled with limited mobility and did need extra help, which was offered with no fuss and before I even asked for it. Somehow Ryan and Lungisani knew what I required. Being a private tour I didn't feel I was holding anyone up - apart from my travelling buddy! - and there was plenty of space in the van for my mobility scooter and wheelchair.

Every drive - and we did many on our 6 day tour - was full of fantastic wildlife. We saw the Big 5 and so much more. Ryan's passion for what he does so well is infectious, and his knowledge of the wildlife, and Africa, is incredible; couple that with his and Lungisani's spotting skills and it makes for an amazing experience.

Our bungalow accommodation was very comfortable, clean and spacious, and every meal they prepared was fresh, healthy and delicious. We didn't have to lift a finger.

I can't fault anything about our trip - including our communication with Thale which was efficient and prompt - and don't let a disability put you off going on safari - just make sure you book direct with Wild Planet Safari.

Definitely a holiday of a lifetime!!!!!!
5/5

So, when the bestie and I decided to book our holiday of a lifetime, we had no idea where to start, or even what to expect on a Safari. We could have picked any company out of hundreds, but oh, thank goodness we chose Wild Planet Safari!!
From the minute Ryan collected us from the Jo’burg airport our adventure began. The first night was spent in a lovely B & B a short drive from the airport then it was up early the next day for a 7hr drive across to Kruger. For the entire 6 days all of our needs were catered for and all we had to do was sit back and enjoy. And when I say ‘our needs’ I mean it. Apart from us both being veggies, my travelling companion is disabled with extremely limited mobility - oh and lots of mobility aids! But throughout our trip, Ryan and his little helper Lungisani coped admirably. Nothing was too much trouble and they quickly began to anticipate when and where help would be needed - from opening car doors to unloading scooters. Our meals were superb, loads of freshly prepared fruit & veg dishes and BBQ’s in the evenings. And they even do the washing up!
Every day was packed full of anticipation and excitement, and what Ryan doesn’t know about animals simply isn’t worth knowing. His determination for us to see the Big 5 paid off and we were able to tick each animal off the list – and many more. During our time together Ryan shared many amusing stories with us of his previous animal encounters, explained the safari ‘etiquette’ and we also learned a little about the life of young Lungisani.
It was sad to be dropped back in Joburg for the final night, we had all become good friends and it was with a heavy heart that we had to hug the big guy Ryan goodbye, knowing that he was off to do it all again with is next lucky people the next day.
Ryan, you are amazing, totally dedicated to your work and long may it continue. Lungisani, you will make a terrific guide yourself one day and maybe take us yourself! Must also mention the excellent communications from Thale during the planning of our trip and cuddles to little Felix.
Oh, and congratulations to you both, Mr & Mrs Ker!

Wonderful trip with amazing personalized service!
5/5

Ryan and Thale were great from the very beginning of our trip planning. They were very responsive to email and provided good feedback about how to organize the trip we wanted and get the best out of our experience in Kruger Park. We booked almost a year in advance, and spent a wonderful 7 day safari staying in secluded bush camps within the park. The safari van was comfortable and game drives were fun and engaging, even for our 7 year old. Ryan always had interesting facts to share about the animals, plants, and birds we were seeing.
Ryan and his assistant, Lungsani, made our trip a true holiday for us! They skillfully prepared all of our meals and took care of every detail. They were fun and engaging to hang out with and we feel like we've made life long friends!
Kruger Park itself far surpassed our expectations! The facilities at the park were clean and well maintained, and the animals, well we are still in awe of all the animals we saw and photos we took. It truly was the trip of a lifetime!

best safari ever!
5/5

simply said: It was just amazing! we enjoyed such a great time with Ryan and his friend at the safari!
Ryan knows probably everything there is to know about safaris and the animal kingdom in it. He finds a good balance of telling facts and stories and of just enjoying the wildlife. Furthermore, they cooked very delicious and even vegan for my girlfriend. They are very friendly and always helpful. I can recommend to book with them to every person who wants to enjoy a great safari-experience! At least for us it is clear: if we ever have time again to do a safari, we will book with Ryan!

Four of us (friends) travelled together and had an amazing time visiting three national parks in 11 days.
I would recommend this family company without hesitation.
If anyone would like to contact me for further details, it’s no problem.

It was a wonderful experience and Ryan and Lungisani were great guides with so much fun and knowledg
5/5

Myself and three friends had a wonderful visit to South Africa and loved the safari with Ryan and Lungisani. The animal sightings were fabulous and I think we managed to see most of the big five as well as other smaller shy animals - honey badger, porcupine and so much more. Ryan's knowledge of the native birds and animals was amazing so we managed to get up his nose not remembering any of them - especially bush bucks. Wonderful trip - I'd recommend it to everyone.

Unbelievable experience with an excellent family run company.
5/5

The communication was very easy and prompt with a personal touch. They dealt with all my enquiries with knowledge , patience and a quick response. Their only concern was to make our holiday as personal and perfect as they could, dealing with every detail that was requested. We could not have had a better guide than Ryan his skill was unbelievable and he has knowledge was second to none. We would recommend Wild Planet Safari to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience in the company of a expert.

The best visit to Kruger ever (out of 15 to 20 visits)
5/5

Upon reflection, having done +/- 15 trips to Kruger, I believe this was overall the best. The convenience (you guys handled everything) was fabulous but the eating interactions (once again your cooking skills) enhanced the experience past just seeing animals. Whilst there may have been a couple of things I may have preferred different, they are insignificant in the enjoyment of the whole experience.

The range of information and the intangible extras such as the friendly interaction was appreciated, too.

My compliments and thanks to yourself and Lungisani for all this and my regards and thanks to Thale for the administration and fantastic attitude in dealing with the plans.

I have a number of people wanting your details. If all come you will be busy !.

Once again, thank you all for a wonderful trip. This was my first holiday for 12 years and it exceeded my expectations.
