Afroriginal excellent partner
This was the 2nd time Afroriginal organized a safari for me and again: it was great! Accommodation at the various parks were beyond expectation. Desiree and Fay, thank you very much, my compliments! I can recommend anyone to go with Afroriginal to Tanzania. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Excellent safari
Based on what we wanted, in a short time and for a good price Afroriginal tours has arranged everything very smoothly! Very luxurious to be just with you own party and accompanied by a very good guide and chef. :) We had fun and a very relaxed safari due to the arrangement of Afroriginal tours! Much thanks too Desiree!
We have been on a canoe safari, horse back riding (day1) and had game drives in Tarangire National Park (I recommend this for the elephants lovers!), Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater (beautiful and we saw the rhino with baby!). We also did the night game drive which is very interesting for different animals! Desiree can give you a good program to your needs and wants! Outside the high season you are alone in the parks! :)
Thank you Desiree for arranging it for us!

The journey of our lives.
Our trip started a year ago. We wanted to go on safari in januari 2017 with our family as a celebration for our 35 years of marriage. On the internet I came in contact with Desiree de Ridder. I explained what we thought we wanted and she planned the whole safari and the time in Zanizibar. I must say she did iT the perfectly.
IT was beyond our expectations. The safari Tour was Every day different, because of the different Parks, accomodations. The service was outstanding. We had to guides, drivers Fay and Steward. The told us a lot About the wildlife, Masai , nature. The have done everything to make our journey onforgettable.
After the safari we went to Zanzibar. We visites Stone Town very impressie and Desiree booked US in the Coffehouse. A perfect hotel with great service and with a nice roofterrace to have your breakfast.
The day after we went to Mwezi boutique resort. On the wat we had a spicetour, which was very educational. We bought spices there. The Mwezi boutique Resort is fantastic, your own Beach house, view on the sea and beach. A perfect place to enjoy the last days of your holiday. Desiree, Fay and Steward Thanks a lot for the special trip.

Terrific, again !!
This was our third Safari. The organisation again was excellent, the driver(Fay) knows everything we asked about Wildlife(he knows to find where they are...) and all accomodations were superb! In French: Chapeau!

Dream Honeymoon Safari
After always wanting to go on safari, my wife and I booked our honeymoon through Afroriginal and it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. They thought of everything and our guide, Stuart, was an expert at making us feel like our game drives were once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Our accommodations were also terrific and Afroriginal took care of everything including letting everyone at our luxury camps know it was our honeymoon ahead of time. Indeed, it doesn't get more special than Champagne in the Serengeti with lions in plain sight! If you are looking for incredible personal service by true experts dedicated to ensuring a trip of a lifetime, then Afroriginal is where to go. We highly recommend them!
It worked very well from the first communication up to the travel was finished.
The communication and the service were very good and our expectations about the safari, living and guiding as well!
Nice and friendly wellcome.
We would like to recommend this company for your next safari.

Great safari trip....
Everything was arranged well. And communication regarding the travel was good and fast. Flexibility doe arrangement and the safari itself was amazing.
Very glad we went with Afroriginal.
We had a very pleasant and enjoyable experience with Afroriginal Tours and Safaris.
Our tour operator Desiree was very helpful and prompt in attending to our requests. Emails were answered regularly and she customised the safari to our requirements. She even organized a small birthday celebration for our son at one of the camps ! We were very pleased with our guide/driver Jeremiah too. He was a very safe and experienced driver ,. He was always very polite and was very knowledgable .The living arrangements were adequate though I did think that the food was fairly average. The tents could also do with fans as it could get very stuffy and hot inside. Overall a different and good experience.

Super safari!
Desiree is your contact person. They can arrange everything for you. Specify what you want and can do.
Her partner Fay does the safari tour. He is communicative very good and really a walking encyclopedia!
Not only does he have knowledge of the "big five" but also all birds, insects and plants.
Unbelievable how fast he sees everything. He gets the best out of your safari.
They do this for years and this experience is evident in the result.

9 days in the Tanzanian Safaris - Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorogoru Crater
Dear Afroriginal,
We are all home and just have the most wonderful memories of the last 9 days in your beautiful country. All the places we visited were truly remarkable. Jennifer and I loved the Tarangire and I can see why this is your favourite place. We loved the swamp area and the elephants and eagle life. The lodge there was rather magnificent. We loved going into the crater and the flamingos and the 22 hyena we highlight. The Sereno lodge was lovely and we did want to spend another night there as the views and atmosphere was calming and spectacular.
I am glad we only had to do the one way trip from the crater to the south of Serengeti, this was very long and bumpy but we were certainly enlightened on the quantity of gazelle on the planes and again hyenas. Next time we come will be in summer when the wildebeest are giving birth and on these planes. The first night at Kati Kati was truly in nature with a heard of buffalo around the tents – and I mean even between the tents. My husband was on the toilet and was scared to make any noises as the buffalo was eating right next to him. He could almost feel its heat. I was in hysterics !!!
The trip to the north Serengeti was long but also nice to see the vast expanses of land we covered and with such a different terrain. We saw some incredible fires on route watched the marabou storks sitting close to the flames having barbeque. It was only in this section where we saw endless Wildebeest and got to appreciate the amount of animals that there are. We even gave up counting carcasses! The Wayo camp was very basic and we were the only people in the camp for both nights, which really made it private. These tents were very basic – as you described, but they could have done a bit to make the linen more warm and cosy even in such a situation. The chef at this camp was the best we had all over. His food and lunch boxes were very good for such a remote place.
The day we spent on the Mara river and driving up to the Kenyan border was again more than I ever expected. I would have loved to spend 3 days in this area, and will definitely next time when we come in July spend more time in the north. It was also very quiet with tourists.
Our trip back to Kati Kati was very good and we spent some time in the central area, and we counted we saw 41 lions in the whole trip, 5 cheetah, and 2 leopards, one with a fresh kill.
But there was one thing that really made this trip absolutely wonderful and has made it close to our families hearts, and that was Francis, our tour guide. There are little words to describe what a wonderful man he was and a tour guide. He has the funniest sense of humour and talked so easily and freely with us. At times when we wanted silence to enjoy the environment, he was quiet. His driving was impeccable and we all laughed as he seems well respected and known amongst the “bush telegraph” guides. His spotting of animals and birds and knowledge was great and sitting over dinner and having conversations with him was so humorous. He is a most pleasant person and next time we come I will only ask for him.
Again it was wonderful to meet you, although for such a short period of time. When the time comes for any recommendations I will most certainly send anyone your details, you were most accommodating to my changes.
Keep well and God Bless
Louise, Mike, Stephanie and Jennifer.
