Coffee and waterfall hike
5/5

Originally I got in touch with ibrahim to arrange our safari and I mentioned that he runs other tours. I'm so glad I asked because we did the coffee and waterfall hike today and it was amazing.

Ibrahim was fantastic at organising (including our delicious vegetarian lunches), our driver Freddy was incredibly punctual when he met us at our hotel and the day has been totally stress free!!!

We really enjoyed learning about the process for making coffee and oscar and his team were so welcoming. After the coffee making part, we went with Sisto to the waterfall which was amazing!! Again, Sisto was fabulous. He made our trip, took loads of photos, explain lots of local stuff to us, etc.

I can't recommend this day trip with this tour company enough!! We are most certainly in the mood for our safari adventure with this company tomorrow!!!

:)

Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
5/5

Did a 6 day Machame route trekking to Mount Kilimanjaro with Afrishare Trekking and Safaris. The company was very professional and met us up the day prior to the trek to ensure we have all the proper gear and equipment. During the trek, all the guides, porters, and cooks were very accommodating. They made sure that we summit Mount Kilimanjaro safety. Also, we requested to do the trip in 5 days instead of 6 and the company had no problems with that flexibility. It was a smooth transaction and communication was clear throughout the beginning to end. Afrishare also helped us get a hotel in the center of town when we returned from our trek. I would highly recommend Afrishare for anyone visiting Tanzania.

I am beyond satisfied with my group's safari experience and I know they feel the same. Everything was well organized, moved smoothly, and our guides were fun and knowledgeable.

Great value for money
4/5

I went with a friend for a 3-day Kilimanjaro + 4-day safari tour in Tarangire, Serengeti, Nogorongoro. Ibrahim was very responsive from the beggining, quickly replying emails. He himself picked us up from the airport. We did not bring all the appropriate clothing (hiking boots, rain trousers) to climb Kili, but were able to rent it thanks to them. The staff is very nice and helpful.
What they could do better: provide complete information about price (sudden changes in VAT increased final price and we learned about this only upon arrival), train guides to provide us with more information about places, animals, etc., be ready for special meal requirements (I got sick and was not able to eat the usual menu, but was not offered alternatives).

Amazing Tanzania Safari Experience
5/5

We were a group of 3 travelling to Africa for the first time. I was totally happy with the service provided by Afrishare. We talked to many operators but finally chose Afrishare.

Ibrahim had been very responsive and was able to take care of our concerns relating to changes in itinerary, place of stay, etc. One of the other factors was also the price. There had been changes to the VAT and increase in Ngorongoro crater fees in June leading to operators frequently revising the prices they had quotedus. Ibrahim stuck to a price and told us he would bear the risk of any taxes change, etc and we need not worry of that.

We did a 6 day Safari covering Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro (in that order). We had agreed on a package which covered the entire Tanzania safari duration, airport pick to airport drop. We were going to Zanzibar after that.

Ibrahim was prompt and was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived with a name card. He dropped us in Arusha Inn at about 4 am in the morning. We had rest on the first day in Arusha since the safari was to begin the next day.

Freddy was our guide cum driver for the safari. He was extremely knowledgeable about the places as well as a lot of fun to talk to. The vehicle provided was good enough for 4-5 people. He arrived an hour late due to traffic in Arusha (Afrishare is based in Moshi) but since we had only Tarangire to cover that day, it did not make much of a difference. We stayed at Twiga lodge and covered Manyara the next day. Then we headed to Serengeti. Stayed 2 nights in Tortilis at Central Serengeti and 1 night in the public campsite (Simba). We were able to see plenty of lions, few leopards and 2 cheetahs in Serengeti. We missed the migration by a few days. Since, we stayed in Simba for a night, Ibrahim arranged for a cook who made some excellent food for dinner as well as the lunch the next day.

The entire safari went on as per the agreed schedule without any changes. After Ngrorongoro, we came and stayed in Moshi for before getting dropped to the airport by Freddy at around 1 am.

The safari certainly lived up to my expectations and the service provided was top notch. I would definitely recommend Afrishare to anyone looking at a Tanzania safari experience.

Mt Kilimanjaro Climb
5/5

Afrishare organised a 6-day climb to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro for a group of three friends. From the very first email enquiry, we were re-assured by their timely communication, helpful advice for packing, recommendations on the best route to take based on our skill levels.

Once on the ground, we were provided with a detailed audit of our trekking gear with advice and guidance from our two guides on how to approach the mountain (pole pole as they say in Swahili). We met the guides and a couple of the porters a couple of days before-hand and this helped to no end.

The trip itself was very well organised. The support provided on the trek itself was superb. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and skilled - providing advice, tips, identified birds, animals and plants along the way and shared stories of the history of the mountain and the surrounding countryside.

A lot of the porters spoke English and even those that didn't were happy to have a friendly chat.

The food was delicious and freshly made with our very own mess tent set up in advance at every camp site. Appetisers consisted of popcorn and ginger snaps which was *delightfully* welcome at more than 3000m above sea level. We were very well fed throughout with hearty soups, fresh food (fried chicken, toasties, fish fillets, rice, spaghetti) made all the more impressive because all the food had to be lugged up the mountain.

Ibrahim, Kija, Goodluck and the rest of the crew were a great set of people to travel with and we'd do this again in future.

They were very friendly and helped us around Moshi the day before
5/5

We, a group of 4 friends, did the day tour of Kilimanjaro with this company.
They were very friendly and helped us around Moshi the day before and then collected us from our accommodation in the morning. We went with Mwinyi as our guide and were very pleased with his services. Knowledged about the area and the wildlife he was quick to adapt to the type and level of information we were interested in.
In the whole we would definitely go on a safari with them again and thus certainly recommend you do too.

Kilimanjaro climb
5/5

Afrishare organised climbing Kili for our group of three.

Every aspect of the 7day climb was very organised. Our guides were highly experienced and knowledgeable of the mountain and it's flora/fauna. Thanks to their expertise, all 3 of us made it to the top for an unforgettable view.

The food was superb, especially considering we were on a mountain. Dishes served included: fish fillet, roast potatoes, spaghetti bolognaise and chicken. The chicken was of a particularly high standard; high quality cuts of fillet. Fresh fruit was in abundance, in addition to copious amounts of vegetables. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, popcorn and cookies awaited us at every lunch/dinner stop. Huge thanks to Cosmas the chef.

The rest of our crew were also marvelous; extremely friendly and helpful.

Ibrahim did an excellent job of managing our trip and we look forward to working with him again.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend it to others!
5/5

Better late then never. When we got back from our trip, we more or less were sucked into normal life but thought many times of writing this review because we loved every minute of it and think back often. We went on a three day Safari with Afrishare and it was really great! We had a tight schedule of travelling and really wanted to do a safari. Because nobody had booked for the same period, Ibrahim did his best to find extra people which would lower the price (group instead of a private tour). Thankfully he found one extra person, so it was more or less a private tour for a group-tour price :) Ibraham was very helpful and quick in his replies always. In the very beginning, we actually remember that we were doubting if it was all real, as we read so many good reviews for this budget trip that we could not believe it was real. So we promised ourselves to mention this in our review for other people who have doubts like us. It is all true, the value for money, the food and accommodation and good safari-car with a great guide in it. Our guide and driver Fredy was really nice and explained us a lot. We felt in good hands and had a lot of fun together! We actually saw 4 of the big 5 :) Sadly the leopard wasn't willing to show himself :( The camp where we slept (Heaven Nature) was very good for a budget tour. More than we expected, we were actually surprised. Good tents and the shower was more or less warm. After dining a few drinks on the terrace to end the day (yes the sell beers!). We can truly recommend going on a safari trip with Afrishare! Thank you Ibrahim, Fredy and the cook (sorry forgot his name).
