Highly recommended good value safari
5/5

We would highly recommend an Afrishare safari to anyone who is not looking to break the bank on a safari and still wants to see all the animals that those on more luxurious options see.

Two of us had a great time throughout. There was a hiccup beforehand when our supposed partners dropped out of our group safari so we had to pay extra ($100 each) for a private safari - but given the extra cost to Ibrahim this seemed reasonable.

Our trip consisted of one day in Lake Manyara; three days in the Serengeti which Afrishare were happy to facilitate; and one day in the Ngorongoro crater. We would strongly recommend spending as much time in the Serengeti as you can because it was not only the most beautiful in our opinion, but we also had the best animal encounters. We saw all the Big 5 and so much more - including great close ups of all the big cats.

The camping was comfortable and we slept well in the tents and kit that Ibrahim provided. The food on the whole was good and we ate well but of course don't expect anything too fancy.

Our guide was very nice and happy to accommodate our wishes for drives at the crack of dawn, plus he was incredibly talented at spotting animals of all shapes and sizes. However one of our only issues was that he could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the animals themselves as we were keen to learn as well as observe.

Saying that, overall all the staff Afrishare are very hospitable and kind. We stayed two nights in the lodge, before and after our safari, and the food was great. Ibrahim was very helpful and easy to speak to leading up to our trip and then helped book us a bus to return to Dar and recommended us a good hostel to stay in.

We hope that next time we come to Tanzania we can go on the Kilimanjaro trek with Afrishare.

Awesome Experience!
5/5

We booked for a trek to Mt Kilimanjaro and a 3 day safari with Afrishare. The entire trip of 11 days was excellent! The trek was flawless! The entire team of 12 support staff (Guides, Cook and Porters) were awesome! The BEST team ever! They were very prompt with their service and helped us to get to the summit! They even went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. I would very highly recommend the Guides - Kijaji and Alfred and their team for any trek with Afrishare. They not just take care of you very well, but also provide lot of insights into the flora and fauna on the trek! Very knowledgeable people. Our Cook - Cosmos was fantastic and he always had something special everyday!

The Safari was also organized very well. Our guide and driver Fredy was awesome with spotting wildlife! He is also very knowledgeable and ensured we got to see the maximum wildlife during our trip.

Ibrahim is an excellent host! He provided us with accommodation which was comfortable and the food served at the campus was excellent!

Overall, I would recommend Afrishare for not just doing treks and safari, but also to get an experience of staying in Tanzania with locals! Thank you Ibrahim.. I am already dreaming of my next vacation with you guys!! :)

Amazing 3 day safari Tarangire - Ngorongoro - Manyara
5/5

I went with my girlfriend and 4 friends on this amazing trip with Afrishare. It couldn't have been any better I think.I can't mention one negative thing about the 3 days... the car was very spacious, a bit old-skool and cozy. Our driver/guide was funny, although he did not give super much extra information, he did a really good job. Food was delicious, and so so much! We also had such good sleeping places and beds in 'Heaven Nature', and there was hot water 24/24 which is so luxurious. We had fun all the time. And of course the national parks are amazing, with Ngorongoro seeming like a miracle when there are no clouds and no mist (we were lucky). Also the 2 other parks are great. The best thing maybe is the variation between the 3 parks, so you're never bored! We spotted any possible animal I think, except of the leopard. I could recommend Afrishare to everyone, and especially this safari. My next step will be visiting Serengeti one day. I don't know when, but I'm already sure it will be with Afrishare.

Trek to Kilimanjaro - The best experience of our life !
5/5

We chose Afrishare for both trekking Mt Kilimanjaro and do the safari. Ibrah and his fantastic team were brilliant through out our 11 day trip to Tanzania. We summited Kili with Kijaji our guide and his really strong crew. The trek up the mountain was very educational and very interesting because Kijaji and Alfred (assistant guide) shared a vast amount of interesting information. Our dietary restrictions were kept in mind even under the harshest conditions in the camps which was incredible ! The only reason my brother and I even made it to the summit was because of the encouragement, support and unwillingness to give up by the crew. I would strongly recommend anyone who wishes to summit Kilimanjaro to come here for the best experience !

After the 7 days Machame route to Kilimanjaro, we did a 3 day Safari with Afrishare. This was an experience of a lifetime. Fredy our guide and driver was brilliant and Heaven Nature the resort we stayed was beautiful. A special mention of the most polite staff that I have ever met in all my travels. They all together ensured that we had the best experience.

We had an opportunity to meet a lot of exciting and interesting people. To bask in all the warmth of local people and fall in love with Tanzania ! Hope to make it back here again soon.

Ibrah, Fredy, Kijaji and everyone at Afrisahre THANK YOU !

Great Safari!!
5/5

Three amazing days in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara! They provided a great accomodation, in really nice glamping tents... and a good cook, Rama, who cooked glutenfree especially for me. Freddy was our guide, a great one! Smiling and willing, a great part of the team!

An amazing experience

between the amazing natural parks, the personalised food and the very comfortable accommodation, the only worries after making payment is spotting the big 5. it was 3 days of no worries and great service, for a reasonable price.

Great safari!
5/5

Two weeks ago we did the 3 day safari to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara with Afrishare. It was amazing! We had booked the safari half a year in advance already. We found them on the Safari Bookings website and they offered the cheapest safari. After reading some reviews we decided to book with them. It was still a bit scary to make the initial payment as you never know how it will turn out when you're there, but we haven't had any problems at all. The contact before the safari with Ibrahim was good. He provided all information and responded quickly. During the safari we were being picked up at the appointed time from our hotel in Arusha. Then the amazing 3 day trip started. Especially the Ngorongoro crater was our favourite. We saw lions, hyenas, hippos, jackals, elephants, giraffes and many more. During the nights we stayed at the quiet tented camp Haven Nature. It was a very nice camp with beds, hot water, light and a delicious buffet (more than we expected as we booked the budget tent safari option). Finally our tour guide Freddy was a well English speaking, very polite and nice guy. We can definitely recommend to book with Afrishare. For us it was perfect.

Great professionals!

We had booked a Kili trek in advance from Brazil and all went perfect, as pre-arranged. The owner Ibra and his team were always ready to help, with a great sense of humour all the time. It was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended! Thanks Ibra!

Great Experience!
5/5

We arranged 5 day Safari in advance via internet. We were little bit skeptic at the beginning as Ibrahim required to send deposit in advance without any record. But we did so. Upon arrival to Moshi we met with Ibrahim and discuss plan for all 5 days. On very next morning our driver Fredy and chef Abdallah came to pick us up to the hotel. The safari was awesome, we saw 4 out of big 5 (rhinos were hidden), cheetah hunt, birth of impala, a lot of lions and many other animals. On the way to Serengeti car had broke and we were stuck for couple of hours on abandoned place in Ngorongoro. Fredy arranged another car for us to take us to Serengeti for a game drive. Despite little delay we enjoyed Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara as much as possible. I strongly recommend Afrishare for Safari tours.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend it to others!
5/5

Better late then never. When we got back from our trip, we more or less were sucked into normal life but thought many times of writing this review because we loved every minute of it and think back often. We went on a three day Safari with Afrishare and it was really great! We had a tight schedule of travelling and really wanted to do a safari. Because nobody had booked for the same period, Ibrahim did his best to find extra people which would lower the price (group instead of a private tour). Thankfully he found one extra person, so it was more or less a private tour for a group-tour price :) Ibraham was very helpful and quick in his replies always. In the very beginning, we actually remember that we were doubting if it was all real, as we read so many good reviews for this budget trip that we could not believe it was real. So we promised ourselves to mention this in our review for other people who have doubts like us. It is all true, the value for money, the food and accommodation and good safari-car with a great guide in it. Our guide and driver Fredy was really nice and explained us a lot. We felt in good hands and had a lot of fun together! We actually saw 4 of the big 5 :) Sadly the leopard wasn't willing to show himself :( The camp where we slept (Heaven Nature) was very good for a budget tour. More than we expected, we were actually surprised. Good tents and the shower was more or less warm. After dining a few drinks on the terrace to end the day (yes the sell beers!). We can truly recommend going on a safari trip with Afrishare! Thank you Ibrahim, Fredy and the cook (sorry forgot his name).
