Excellent trip
5/5

The Wilderness Society did a great job in creating the wild experience we had requested. If you are looking for tailor-made travels in Southern Africa, these are the professionals to choose.
We chose a combination of luxury lodges and 'bush camps' in the middle of the bush and were not disappointed! They knew exactly what we were looking for and they planned the route perfectly to our tastes. Thank you so much for the memorable trip!

Great Experience to be recommended and possibly repeated !
5/5

We knew about this Tour Operator by chance, surfing on the web , but after a first contact just to get some info we understood we wanted to catch the opportunity they propose. Max was really very kind and available at each time of the day, fast & precise in every single info request we made: he switched on our appetite by explaining tours & places they proposed, therefore we have chosen them. After our arrival in Balule, Luca took care of us as a friend, his knowledge about the territory and the animals have been helpful and he has been the added value to our tour. We stayed in Balule Villa - which is amazing and very much recommended - and in Manyeleti Pungwe Bush Camp: the real wild experience.

Amazing experience
5/5

We explored Kruger's great wilderness in a very different way. Far from the crowd, completely off the beaten track, on a small 4x4 convoy, through the wilderness of Letaba Ranch and the Makuya Reserve, both part of the Greater Kruger. We crossed rivers and negotiated sand tracks in the bush, gathering around the fire and sleeping under the stars. A real adventure with everlasting memories.

Experience of a life time...
5/5

We joined a short 4x4 expedition, from Kruger to Mozambique. As we crossed the border at Kosi Bay, sand tracks became the name of the game. With our 4x4, we followed the vehicle of The Wilderness Society's team up to the Maputo Elephant Reserve. We enjoyed camping on the beach and the sightings of hippos and elephants by the lakes of this stunning reserve. We were always alone, but never felt unsafe. The bush chef was great. All the journey was very well organized, the team friendly and professional, showing a true passion for their job. We ended up with a farewell dinner at the famous Butcher Boys in Durban, before heading back to Pretoria, but that was really a great wilderness experience.

Excellent Tour Operatot! Great "Out of africa" Experience in Manyeleti.
5/5

We asked this tour operator to arrange a short trip for our family last December. They're based in Hoedspruit, where we have a holiday home. They know every single inch of the area and are able to design tailor-made tours and safaris, according to your needs. Among all the rest, we enjoyed in particular our experience in the Manyeleti Game Reserve. We spent the nights at a secluded bush camp nestled in a thick forest. The camp is rustic, but with a great wilderness feeling. The lack of electricity just adds more "out of Africa" atmosphere. Though with no fences, we felt safe all the time, thanks to the presence of our guides and all the camp staff at any time. Our 8 year-old child was just amazed by the amount of wildlife we could see every day, with so few other vehicles around. One of the peculiarities of the Wilderness Society Africa is to combine wilderness wth cultural experience. Manyeleti was the only game reserve open to black people during Apartheid time and the bush camp is run within a community project. It was great to listen to tales around the fire and get a glimpse of local culture. Last but not least, we enjoyed the great cuisine of Luca, our private Italian chef, who also owns the only true Italian restaurant of the all Greater Kruger's area. We're now planning with The Wilderness Society Africa our next wilderness experience to the remote northern Limpopo.
