Incredible experience!
5/5

My mom and I had a fantastic 9 day safari + 5 day Zanzibar experience. Elias was so patient with us - he answered every question we had via email promptly and in detail.

Rajubu was our safari guide, and he was very knowledgeable about the animals. He was also the best driver ever!!! It takes a lot of will power to drive for so many hours a day on such bumpy roads. Rajubu made sure we were safe and that we were having fun :)

We saw so many animals - lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, wildebeests, etc! Unfortunately didn't see rhinos, but we did see a mom lion carrying her newborn cub in her mouth from one rock to another. Also saw a bunch of lions eating a zebra which was pretty gross and cool.

Overall, excellent trip. Here were the highlights:
-Serengeti (you need 2 full days to see everything)
-Lake Manyara - worth it to see different scenery of trees and birds
-Ngorongoro - was supposed to see rhinos here so kind of disappointing that we didn't see them; but the landscape is nice and you see lots of zebras up close

In terms of lodging:
-Maramboi Tented Camp - just WOW. Incredibly beautiful, zebras in your backyard, such kind staff, and the flamingo walking tour by Lake Manyara is a must!
-Kenzan Tented Camp - best food of the trip was here, staff was so attentive and kind
-Ngorongoro Farm House - the best fresh vegetables I have ever eaten in my life - I had literally 6 bowls of salad one night; take the coffee / plant tour too
-Sunshine Marine Lodge (Zanzibar) - this place is all about relaxation; the passion fruit juice is so good; also you must take a snorkeling trip with Dive Point (located in the hotel); hotel is really beautiful, but you have to walk / take a car to the private beach
-Emerson on Hurumzi (Stone Town) - such a beautiful hotel, but it is in the middle of town so you will hear praying during the day and very early morning

Overall, I would recommend World Air Travel and Tours to everyone I know! Elias and Rajubu made sure we had the trip of a lifetime!

Amazing!
5/5

I have had the fortune of traveling to many places and this has been my favorite trip!! and part of that was World Air Travel, the attention was very good from beginning to end. We were in Kenya and Tanzania with different drivers, Isa in Kenya just a couple of days and John in Tanzania the rest of the days. The two drivers were great and John made a lot of effort to see the big five, goal that he achieve!
Elias was the one who managed everything from beginning to end and always responded attentively and quickly to our needs.
We did the balloon safari and my 2 year old girl could not go so they arranged everything to take care of her in the camp with the help of John who took her to meet us.
The food was delicious, the places in which we stayed and the attention, all spectacular, I have no complaint only good things to say.
Thanks to the entire World Air Travel team!!!

Elias, the manager, was very patient , friendly and courteous. He answered all are questions and emails promptly which was very helpful. He made us an itinerary as we requested with hotels having the best view at a reasonable budget.
John Philippo was our guide for the safari and he was amazing! His knowledge about animals and birds, and driving skills were very good. He was excellent at spotting animals and knew all the species. He was very humble and friendly and made us feel extremely comfortable during the entire journey. I would recommend him and World Air Travel to anyone who wants to visit Tanzania.

EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED!!
5/5

I am very thankful that after an extensive internet search for our African adventure, that I stumbled on Safari Bookings and World Air Travel and Tours.
From the very beginning , through countless emails and revisions, the coordinator, Elias was prompt, professional and helpful. His hand was felt throughout the tour, as he checked in with our guide and even met with us a couple of times. Our guide and driver, John was perfection. His gentle nature , extensive knowleadge of the animals, birds and plants of the region, plus his expert driving on the wash-board roads. Throughout the tour, John sensed when his aged 70+ passengers had had enough for each day, which was very much appreciated. This was to be "a trip of a lifetime" and it didn't disappoint.
The hospitality at all the camps and lodges on our tour were everything we had hoped. After our first day in Tarangire, we stayed in the Maramboi Tented Lodge and it was truly magical. I texted friends the next morning, that I had awakened in a luxury tent in the "Garden of Eden". What glorious surroundings, herds of wildebeasts, zebras and giraffes roaming freely. I also want to mention the Ang'ata Tented camp, which Elias added to our tour, where we stayed 2 nights. It really gave us the romance and the "Out Of Africa" feel that we will never forget. The beautiful tents, meals and the second night dinner on the lawn followed by a celebratory song and dance by the staff, was unforgettable.
The Zanzibar leg of our trip, was a lovely respite after a wonderful but tiring safari. The resort , though remote from Stonetown, was quiet, gorgeous and just what we needed. The whole trip was filled with breath-taking events that we will never forget.
Do not pass by this company without close consideration.

Additional info for fellow travellers:
Things we brought we didn't need :
1. Warm PJ's for the cool nights on the Serengeti, and light ones for Zanzibar. We slept in the nude - too warm everywhere; and
2. Puffer vest for cool evenings - warm nights everywhere.

What I wished I had brought:
1. Short cotton robe; and
2. Ladies - consider panty liners, hand sanitizer and baby powder - Iffy washrooms, picnic sites and humid weather.

Travel Suggestion:
Recommend you consider a couple of days layover if your travel time exceeds 24 hours including stopovers.

Excellent! Well organized, friendly, honest and responsive tour operator.
5/5

We booked with World Air Travel and Tours based on the recommendation of a friend.
We were extremely satisfied with every element of the trip; from the polite, friendly and responsive interactions with Elias to our lovely and informative guide, John.
Our accommodations (the tented camps) were really great. Elias was very receptive to our feedback. We also really appreciated his honesty as he refunded us some money in cash when we arrived. Our guide, John, was a wealth of information, very patient, a great driver and really skilled at spotting animals that other drivers did not notice.
I thought that World provided a really good value for what is normally a very expensive trip.

Amazing, well organized, fantastic safari!
5/5

Our experience with World Air and Travel was seamless from the start. Elias was responsive, information and extremely helpful. John, our guide and driver was amazing. He was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and an incredible resource for us. The accommodations were varied but generally outstanding. We used WATT on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. We did the northern circuit and Zanzibar but I'm sure they just as efficient and experienced in other areas. Would highly recommend this company to anyone thinking about a safari to Tanzania.

World Air Travel and Tours

When you want to mark something off your bucket or wish list you do your research. I researched and requested itineraries (and quotes) from 10 different tour companies. I knew what we wanted and that was a safari to go down as our best family vacation ever and a few nights on a beach just for fun and relaxation. World Air Travel and Tours delivered this and SO much more. They also provided a “tip sheet” that helped us make sure we were appropriately packed with everything we may need and made the VISA (immigration) process so smooth. Their communication and detailed itinerary matched every aspect of our safari and Zanzibar beach fun! Our guide, John, went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. John answered all our questions, pulled out books to show us more about what we were seeing, entertained our 12 year old who asked more questions than 4 children combined, and never pressured us and gave us time to enjoy his beautiful country (Tanzania). We visited Tarangire National Park, L. Manyara N. Park, Serengeti (2 nights camping too on the Serengeti), and Ngorongoro (crater). We spent 2 nights on the Serengeti and woke to sounds of the animals and saw different ones also right from our tent! The links World Air Travel and Tours provided to us matched the places we were going and staying at. Everything was up to date and current. The food was diverse and so good also. Our kids loved the food and for the 12 days we were there never once asked for their technology! At the end of our safari World Air Travel and Tours also coordinated our beach family time in Zanzibar. They arrange a driver, room, air travel, and provided everything we needed to relax and enjoy the beach! I would recommend this company to ANYONE who wants a memorable experience. The memories that they helped us achieve will stay with us forever

WOW! A vacation of 2 life times.
5/5

We’ve traveled to over 20 countries and this is the best vacation we have ever had.
Right from the get-go this was an exceptional experience. The clear, detailed and professional itinerary, the ease of booking this trip, Elias’s help in tailoring the itinerary to all our needs, we truly felt like people not just a number. The months prior to the trip Elias answered all our questions and concerns quickly and concisely. He advised us of adverse weather conditions and suggested alternative lodging to make our safari as pleasant as possible.

This wonderful service didn’t end there. John, our naturalist and driver, met us at the airport and on the trip to our hotel explained in detail what we would be doing the next day. He would explain our next day’s adventure every night for the rest of the safari. John was our wonderful guide, answering all our questions and seeing to all our needs on this ten day game drive.

We visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. But the heart of a safari is the animals. Here are just a small taste of our wonderful encounters:

We watched in awe as a huge herd of elephants, with babies in tow, passed in front of our Landcruiser.
We gazed at a family of graceful Giraffes walking across the open savanna and then watched as they picked the choice leaves from the tops of an Umbrella tree.

A pride of lions sleeping in the grass, the mama was nursing a cub while magnificent male was alert and watching.

Magnificent Zebras, Wildebeests and Thomson’s Gazelles peacefully grazing on the plains.

We saw dozens of Hippopotamus’ bathing in the river, we were stared down by a big male Cape buffalo guarding this turf, we saw majestic leopard snoozing in a Baobab tree, and Vultures, Jackals and Hyenas scavenging for food.

We watched monkeys foraging in the open fields, and a troop of Baboons hiding in the grass by the side of the road.

We also sang, danced and had a jumping contest with the colorful Maasai tribe. A lot of fun.

However, the highlight of our safari was the Great Migration! Tens of thousands of Wildebeest and Zebras, stretching from horizon to horizon queued to cross the Mara River. Then the crossing was complete mayhem; Wildebeest and Zebras scrambling to reach the other bank, truly an exhilarating experience.
