Nature Travel Namibia rocks!
5/5

My husband and I have recently returned from a 16-day birding safari to Namibia, Caprivi, Botswana and Zambia organized by Nature Travel Namibia. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. If I could give it a 6 star rating I would! Nick, our guide was enthusiastic, professional and very knowledgeable. From the moment we made contact with him, he helped us organize and tailor the trip to the last detail. I should also mention that he is probably the best bird guide we've ever had the pleasure of working with. His passion for the birds and all the wildlife made it seem as if he was also seeing them for the first time. He definitely gave us 100%. We would not hesitate to use Nick and this company again and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of visiting southern Africa.

Holiday of a lifetime in Namibia!
5/5

Our experiences with Nature Travel Namibia were fantastic from beginning to end. Nick was super efficient and responsive during the planning and booking of the trip. Our guide, Marcus, could not have been better and was extremely informative and cheerful despite driving us over 4,000kms during our 8 day adventure. The accommodation was of a fantastic standard and the number of animals we saw in Etosha staggering...An amazing introduction to an awesome country. We will be back...

Amazing and more wonderful than I ever imagined
5/5

8 friends took a trip of 18 days( Aug 13-Sept 5) that was planned over a year in advanced. We gave Nick our thoughts and ideas and he planned a trip of a lifetime. He took time to answer all our questions and was very patient. Going in the fall which was winter there was the best as it is very dry and the animal have to seek the water holes which increased our chance of seeing the animals. At one watering hole we saw 18 elephants, what a site. Also amazing to see various species there 9 at least 6 different) at one time and not bothering each other, we should be so civil. He was our guide for 10days thru Chobe, the Caprivi region of Namibia and Etosha. We saw so many animals including the Big 5 during that time. Nick's keen eyes saw animals that were blended in with surroundings and invisible to us novices. We saw and learned about so many birds in addition to the animals.
The days we were on our own were also well planned and those day guides were knowledgeable and friendly, we were in good hands
Nick really made this a trip of a lifetime with his attention to every detail in addition to his knowledge, warm personality and professionalism will always be remembered. I have told many about this experience and hope they too will one day enjoy this experience.

Amazing, record numbers of birds and mammals, our guide Nick Buys was excellent, really experienced.
5/5

Our trip was packed full of adventure, fun and record numbers of mammals including: Caracal! African cat, and all the big game; Lions, (many sightings, great photos) Rhino, Elephants, Hippos, leopard, and much more. We had 350 spieces of birds including Pell's fishing owl! Our guide Nick was very attentive, thoughtful of our comfort and desires throughout the trip. Everyday was jammed packed with new sightings, surroundings and sheer joy. I loved this trip to Namibia and Botswana and would recommend this company and guide to everyone.

Trip of a lifetime....and now I want to be a cat with 9 lives and do it again and again!!
5/5

The end of August, eight of us completed a customized 18 day trip in southern Africa planned by Nick. He was our guide on our 10 days of safari through Chobe, the Caprivi region of Namibia and Etosha, delivering us to Swapokmund, tired and thrilled with our adventure. The days Nick wasn't with us as our guide had been well planned and went very smoothly. Throughout we stayed at lodges that had true African feel and were top quality. Nick was well acquainted with the managers of most lodges and his relationships with the staff added to our pleasant stays. It was obvious Nick loves and understands nature and wildlife and enjoys sharing southern Africa's attractions and hidden gems with others. Even though our trip wasn't set up for birding, because we were beginning birders and it is his specialty, Nick squeezed in every opportunity to show us Africa's beautiful and varied species. We tallied about 140 different bird species in 10 days of game drives and river cruises. Besides the Big 5 we saw about 35 varieties of mammals. We had ample opportunity to photograph all we saw and have many beautiful photos to show our jealous friends! We learned so much about nature, the animals, the birds, the country and its culture as we traveled. We can't rave enough about this trip. There are so many places to see in this world yet it will be hard to top this vacation. We will soon be planning a repeat with Nick and Nature Travel Namibia!

The best holiday ever
5/5

My family of four (two adults and two kids aged 8 and 10) booked a 12 day safari through Nature Travel Namibia based on great reviews on Trip Advisor. It's safe to say we were not disappointed.

We visited a range of parks in Namibia, Chobe in Botswana, and finished at Victoria Falls. Namibia was a stand out in terms of animals, and Mushara Lodge was outstanding. I would strongly recommend people spend some extra time at Chundakwa accommodation in Livingston at the end of the trip - my family could have spent a few days here with the hosts Doug and Gail. In fact, I'm already thinking about getting back thre to see more of Zambia.

Nick and his staff were always quick to respond to any questions. They planned out an itinery that perfectly suited what we wanted to see and the time we had.

Payment was straight forward, and although I am always a bit nervous about transferring large amounts of money via bank transfer, there were absolutely no problems, Nick and his team can absolutely be trusted.

Our guide for the safari was Kit - he was absolutely fantastic, and the kids loved him. He knew Etosha like the back of his hand and ensured we saw the full range of animals, including lions almost every day, and leopards on three separate occasions. Amazing is the best way to describe it.

I would highly recommend Nick and his team at Nature Travel Namibia - you won't be disappointed. Oh, and if you're very, very lucky, you might even get Kit as a guide.

18 day tour of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia
5/5

8 of us just returned from a excellent safari with Nature Travel Namibia. We had been planning this trip for over a year and the communication with the company was excellent. We had endless questions, all of which were answered in a timely manner to our satisfaction. The lodges were above our expectations with personal and excellent service. We celebrated 2 birthday's and 1 anniversary and Nick our guide made sure special celebrations took place for each event. The first three days were set up for us at Victoria Falls, and even though Nick did not join us for this part of the trip, everything went perfectly. The next 10 days we spent with Nick in Botswana and Namibia, his talents as a guide are incredible. We can name most of the animals and all of us have a better appreciations for the beautiful and diverse bird life. We saw the Big 5, and more animals than we had ever anticipated. The last four days we spent on our own with a self drive to the coast and desert in Namibia. Again everything went perfectly. I would highly recommend Nature Travel Namibia to anyone, and hope to use them again one day.

Personal & Perfect
5/5

I wanted the ultimate safari for our Family of 4 - not especially the most expensive but certainly the authentic experience, where wildlife is living for real. Namibia and Botswana chosen - Etosha & Okavangu as highlights.
I found Nature Travel on the internet and contacted Nick. From Day 1 a very fast and competent service with many proposals. We ended up on a tour going directly to Etosha then into the Caprivi, flying into the Delta via Kasane and ending up at Vic Falls. 2 weeks in total.
So finally we arrived in Windhoek and got picked up by Jakes - our driver and guide for the next 8 days. Jakes turned out to be a terrific guide and a nice guy as well. We had lots of fun and saw all animals possible. We chose to stay 2-4 days on each site, going out in the 4-5 hours in morning and relaxing after lunch - this worked fine. Apart from the wildlife - our long but concented drives gave us a fine impression of Namibia and Botswana. Driving felt good.
Do not miss Etosha where we spent 3 full days (Mokuti lodge recommended) and do not miss Okavangu. Lodges and flights into the Delta are expensive and we chose a relatively modest tented camp - Oddballs Camp. Worth every penny - we did Mokuro trips and walking safari´s with guides from the local village. We truely enjoyed 3 nights in the middle of nowhere with grazing hippos at night and huge elephants eating from trees 5 meter from our tents in the morning. May the Delta stay like it is forever..
Back to Nature Travel - everything worked incl all transfers and logistics. I am especially impressed about our transfer from Oddballs to Livingstone. The plane should arrive at 1115. It arrived 2 mins early. After the flight a transfer was waiting taking us to the Zambezi river, then a private boat and finally a new transfer waiting to take us to Livingstone. Not one minute of waiting and superb guiding all the way.
If going to Namibia and Botwsana - go only with Nature Travel Namibia...
