Excellent sources of knowledge, patient with the kids and perfect!
Alika Africa is a wonderful company to work with from beginning to end! The communication, feedback and support for planning this trip was invaluable! They service and value for the money of the places they selected for us to stay and visit was perfect! I can not recommend them enough. You get local tours and tour guides on the ground and have an experienced person state side that knows what you want, how to make it happen and loves the continent as it is her own!

Awesome! Couldn’t be better. Great accommodations, transfers, guides, Safari stays and Safari!
We did 3 day Safari and then summitted Kilimanjaro. Everything was perfect. All logistics were taken care of. Our guides and team up the mountain were excellent! Communication was easy at all points of the trip. I couldn’t recommend more highly!

Once in a lifetime experience
My dad (73yo) and I did a 9-day safari in Tarangire, Manyara Lake, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti central and North with Duma Explorer/Alika and it was perfect from start to finish.
Stacy was incredibly helpful and available to create our dream trip - one we had wanted to do for years: she had good suggestions, good advice on what to do and avoid because it would have added too much driving, and very nice and adaptable.
Our flight (booked separately on our side) was unfortunately cancelled last minute by Air France but Stacy and her team (Omary and Milcah) were quick to react and reorganize the beginning of our safari so we would miss as little as possible while arriving one day later.
Salim, our French speaking guide, was AMAZING. Very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable - we loved doing this safari with him. He explained so much stuff to us and brought us to the right places to see as much animals as we could (which we did!). Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see a lot of elephants, lions, cheetahs, and multiple leopards, as well as four crossings of the Mara river, which was the main reason why we wanted to do that trip. He's also a very careful driver, very respectful of the animals (he makes sure he doesn't disturb them) and super aware of the environment, which we greatly appreciated as animal lovers. We had a dream safari.
I can't recommend Duma enough to anyone who wants to have a lifetime experience in Tanzania, while keeping it super human, environment-friendly and custom-made.
Merci Duma :)

The best ever
For us, Alika is the best operator we have had in life. Very well organized, everything planned with spectacular details. We were always sure that everything was going to work perfectly. Hotels, food, the selection of plans, and our guide were amazing.

Fantastic and authentic Safari experience
We ended yesterday the Safari with you. Just wanted to let you know that was a FANTASTIC experience. Starting with the clear and fast communication during quoting and setting up the trip, then the support with the local team at Tanzania and ending with an incredible guide (Ebenezer) and journey. We only have fantastic memories with us.
We want to highlight 3 things!
1. Nyumbani hotel: Wow! What a place, amazing crew and so incredible food. Overall the best camping experience with all the best service and comfort.
2. Melia at the crater: Fantastic installations, perfect comfort and one of the best views.
3. Ebenezer: key person, amazing service, very good knowledge, kindness and fun! Essential part of the journey!
We will recommend you to anyone that is looking for a Safari experience, no doubt!
Regards,
Daniela and Juan

An Incredible Experience with Incredible Guides!
I had an incredible experience with Duma Explorer / Alika Africa on my visit to Tanzania. I did a solo trip to Serengeti National Park (2.5 days), Ngorongoro Crater (1 day), and Mt. Kilimanjaro (1 day), and I was lucky enough to see the wildebeest migration, some wildebeest river crossings, the Big 5, and just about every other animal there is to see in the parks. My guide, Isack, was amazing! He was an experienced guide and extremely knowledgeable and respectful of all of the animals and of the parks in general. He took care of everything for me and answered all my questions. Emanuel, my guide for the Kilimanjaro hike to about the halfway point up the mountain, was also great. A very experienced climber, who's been to the summit many times, he was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna along the trail, and he kept to my pace. I plan to return in the future and will definitely be using Duma Explorer / Alika Africa again. I highly recommend!

Easy to work with, Amazing experience!
We just finished a 9 day Safari and it was amazing! We saw so much, and our guide, Salim was the absolute best!! He was so engaging and knowledgeable—and so much fun!
If you are trying to plan a safari and are overwhelmed by all the options and are not sure how to proceed, stop searching and email Stacy at Duma Explorer. She will help you work out all the details, customize everything for you, and you will have a great time!!
Top notch all around!

Perfectly planned and seamlessly executed.
Our experience with Alika was perfect from planning to execution. Stacy worked with us to curate a trip that met our wants, timeline, and of course budget. We had full faith going into the trip, and of course, were not disappointed. We went to N. Serengeti, C. Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. Each had a different landscape to appreciate with abundant wildlife, and working with Stacy, we had different lodging experiences at each based on budget.
We were lucky enough to get Msangi as a guide, who has 28 years of experience and was once head of the association of guides in Tanzania for 8 years. He was an expert spotter, professional, and focused on getting us intimate experiences with wildlife rather than following the crowds of parked jeeps as many inexperienced guides may do. We saw almost all we wanted to see on the first day in N. Serengeti and the rest of the trip was almost all bonus!
Couldn't recommend Alika (Duma) enough! p.s., as a gay couple, we felt very supported by Alika.

They really listen to what you want.
Alika Africa was great. Our guide, Ebenezer was terrific. The visit to a boma at Isoitok camp, which we really enjoyed, felt like a very genuine meeting of people rather than a cultural show. Stacy did a great job selecting the accommodations that matched our desire for a "glamping" experience. Tangarire, Ndutu, Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater were simply fantastic. If I were to do it again, I would pass on Lake Manyara park since it has very dense foliage and therefore difficult to see anything and spend an afternoon in the town of Mto Wa Mbo for a cultural experience. I will definitely be recommending Alika Africa to friends and family.
