Probably the best journey I've ever taken in my life!
First, the Chobe River Lodge was absolutely incredible. Very beautiful, luxurious, comfortable, clean, amazing location, amazing cuisine. By far, though, the service at the lodge was sublime. The staff was absolutely incredible. To say this place was amazing would be an understatement.
Next, all of the excursions were amazing. We saw SOOO many animals! I could not believe how many species of animals there were in the Chobe River Park! And the landscape and views in that part of Botswana (Kasane) were just incredible. And the guides were absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable of the zoology, biology and history.
And Matthew at Indigo Safaris did an INCREDIBLE job booking my journey. Absolutely everything went according to plan. The booking process, including the itinerary, information, payment process and logistics all went smoothly. Everything went according to plan. And I truly appreciate him working with me to customize the tour with an add-on excursion to Victoria Falls. That too went completely to plan.
I would absolutely use Indigo Safaris AND the Chobe River Lodge again, and would recommend both to any of my friends or colleagues who are considering travel to Africa.

A brilliant way to discover Africa
Matthew was an excellent communicator, without being pushy. His arrangements were detailed and precise. Our driver was excellent, happy to chat and answer questions but also happy just to let us marvel at the scenery and all transfers were on time and easy. Our stay at rhino ridge was wonderful, and a wonderful introduction to African animals.

Patient and helpful
My husband and I booked a 5 day Safari to Timbavati nr the Kruger Park in South Africa with Indigo. Ines, the person at Indigo who made the booking for us, was extremely patient with all our questions, and as well as arranging the safari itself, she booked our flights from Cape Town to Hoedspruit and from Hoedspruit to Johannesburg. Everything went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
I would definitely recommend Indigo Safaris and Ines in particular.

Great customer support
Due to conflicting dates, we did not end up going through Indigo Safaris because we tagged along friends who had already organised one. HOWEVER, Kerry offered fantastic support and insights throughout the quoting process and was really kind and understanding when we mentioned we were no longer pursuing the Safari. Great Safari organizer
Everything was fantastic and as described. In particular, the game walk was fantastic and something I will be, hopefully, coming back for again in the future.
Matthew made the process simple and provided all the options, taking all the stress away from me. When I first requested the quote, the information you provided and the way you communicated was by far the most professional and well organized compared to other tour operators, which is what made me continue to want to work with Matthew. I am a solo traveler, who was seeking a safe way to do some African safaris for the first time without a tour group. Indigo Safaris made suggestions and we created a trip based on my priorities. My accommodations in Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls and Botswana were unique, beautiful with good service and fabulous food! My guides were terrific. I literally felt like a princess, while at the lodges. All of my accommodations, including the cities, had dining so that it was not necessary for me to find places to eat. There was enough time built in for my pre-arranged transfers and for some explorations, meaning sight seeing not animal tracking, on my own, such as in Capetown and Victoria Falls. When I needed assistance a couple of times, Indigo personnel were responsive to that.
I have travelled quite a lot, and this was one of the best trips I have taken. I believe that one of the strengths of Indigo Safaris is that the agents you work with are so experienced. They personally visit the destinations and accommodations before sending their clients there. So, for example, they knew, where I would see many elephants, which are my personal favorite wild animal, but fewer tourists.
I felt the cost of my trip was very fair. I did voluntarily book my own airfares, which of course are a separate cost, but the trip cost included all of the land transfers and many of my meals. Indigo provided me with a digital itinerary, which would have been the perfect tool had I not had my cell phone stolen on my first day. Fortunately, the staff at my accommodations assisted with getting me in touch with Indigo and my family back home. I highly recommend Indigo Safaris for any sort of trip to Africa.
