The review below is the personal opinion of Kate and not that of SafariBookings.
Difficult driver changed the plan
2/5

The pre-tour booking was very efficient. The tour was simple to book, we were provided great options for accommodation and we were given clear level of detail. However, unfortunately our experience with the driver was far from positive. We had booked a full game drive, plus two game drives, but in reality, we were given a full day + 2 hours. The driver was then disagreeing with us on the second half day, and said that we had to get back to Nairobi. We are not usually confrontational people, but we felt that it was really unfair to not finish the agreed itinerary. This made us feel really uncomfortable as we didn't want to be disagreeing on the plan, however, we had flown such a long way for these three days and we really wanted to spend our agreed time in the park. The driver begrudgingly agreed to take us back into the park, but we only spent 2 hours there, rather than the half day. What really polished it off was on our way home, we stopped to fill up the tyres and one of our passengers got out to use the rest room. Before the passenger even got back into the car, the driver started driving out of the petrol station! He was very rude, didn't make an effort to learn our names and made it apparent that he didn't want to be hosting the trip. He was also making multiple personal phone calls throughout the trip. It was really very disappointing.

Dear Kate,

Thank you for your email feedback which we really appreciate.

I would first like to take this opportunity to advise you this particular driver is no longer with us and hence been replaced by a more experienced driver/guide. We clearly give briefing to Driver/guides before each Safari so that they are aware. Talking on mobile phones unless it's work related is usually unacceptable.

We will continue improving on our services in the coming future.

Best Regards,
Noah Kuti,

The team was great in replying my emails and it is beyond what i have expected. The safari tour itself is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where my guide, Eusty is so professional in explaining different type of animals and surrounding to us.

Very responsive, transparent and extremely experienced!
5/5

Since the first time contact, Noah and Samuel had been very prompt in replying all my emails with all sorts of questions. Based on what I was looking for, they customized the safari. Our guide cum driver..Dennis.. went above and beyond our expectations trying to meet our wishes and demands. He mad sure we had the best time during the 7 days safari trip starting from Nairobi>Amboseli>Lake Nukuru>Masai Mara > Nairobi.
Dennis made sure we not even watch and see 'Big Five' but same time experience their behavior in groups which was truly amazing.
Given all the challenges which comes to such Safaris including very bad road and traffic conditions while traveling from one park to another, its remarkable as how these people able to manage it successfully.
In summary, we had the most memorable vacation and will cherish the experience throughout the life.

Wonderful experience in the Mara.
5/5

My son joined me for this tour of Kenya’s Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Wildebeest tours put it together for us. We could not have been happier. All the arrangements were first class and better than our expectations. The staffs at the two camps, Flamingo Hills Camp and Loyk Mara Camp were outstanding. They were so friendly and helpful. Many thanks to our guide Timothy who made sure our visit was meaningful.
I would gladly recommend Wildebeest Tours to others planning a trip to Kenya.

Had a great tour guide, company went out of their way to accommodate issues
4/5

This was our first (of many) safaris, so we spent many months planning out every detail to make it as close to perfect as possible. The Safari company worked with us on our itinerary and interests, and Noah was very patient in answering questions prior to booking. Our guide, Samuel, was very knowledgeable about Maasai Mara and knew many of the local guides/lodge workers, which gave us a few extra opportunities as a result. He improved our experience and helped communicate any issues we had along the way to facilitate their resolution.

I would recommend booking a Landcruiser over a 4x4 van as they are more reliable. I would consider Wildebeest again for safaris. I believe Noah has the best interests of the company and will go out of his way to help you, should an issue come up.

Quick response, hospitality and professonal operation.
5/5

Quick and responsive communication for inquiry and booking was comfortable for the trip arrangeent.
Service starting from airport pick up, transportation, safari was good as expected but the safari car was rather old and more complete car maintenance should be secured. Safari tour itself was quite enjoyable and exciting but it depends upon the experience and the capability of the driver. As many safari tour companies are competing in the same market with similar services, it seems difficult to differenciate with others.
How Wildebeest Safari can maintain the good driver guides will be important to maintain the service quiality.
