good lodging
4/5

We had a 11-day safaris. Booking was easy. Easy to communicate with the company owner Noah over email. Good lodging arrangement. In Masai Mara, there was a 3-hour drive one way to the river from the hotel, but the hotel was good. The hotel at Ngorongoro provided a spectacular view that's one of the very best we have ever had in our trips around the world. We made a scheduling mistake and as a result we had to book, through the company, one extra day at Masai Mara at a different hotel. It was an expensive booking and the quality of the lodging that day was SO BAD that it got me sick and was not able to do much the next day. The lesson: don't change schedule in the middle of it.

I have mixed reviews on our guides. Our first guide, Geoffrey, was an experienced guide and an excellent driver. Boy, he knows how to drive on the rough roads! He was assertive, a little hard to negotiate - we were totally inexperienced with Safari so we basically took what he offered, and he indeed, most time, tried his best in searching for things for us to see. In Samburu, at one point he was driving like crazy in order to get us to the spot to see a lion. It was a beautiful seeing. Another day he was trying really hard in searching for cheetahs in Masai Mara - although it was not successful in the end we were happy with his effort. His English was good and we had many good conversations. He was a caring and responsible guy - insisting that we call him back after he handed us to our next guide to assure him we were okay all the way. We did and had a good good-bye conversation. That's professional.

Our next guide, Hans, was less qualified to be a good guide. He was inexperienced as a safari driver and he messed up with some documentation things - as a result, we basically wasted our only day at Serengeti. Serengeti has been always a dream land for us. It was a disappointment. I am not sure whether this had anything to do with the location of the hotel. Hans was basically driving us back and forth on the only road near the hotel area. The Serengeti hotel itself, for the lodging quality, was very good. We had our best dinner of the whole trip there. During our Serengeti trip, we met a guide of another safari company, who was with a couple of guests who obviously were of hard-to-please type and who spoke very little English, and we talked with both the guide and his guests. He was such a wonderful guide (enthusiastic about and in doing his job, super friendly, easy to talk and very accommodating) that made us feel that we should have done a better job in researching and getting good guides for our safari.

Our third guide, Nicolas, was okay until at the end at the airport, when, perhaps due to inexperience and a long, tiring drive, he dropped us off in the middle of somewhere in the area and let us find the departure terminal ourselves. We were not thrilled about that, especially after we gave him good tips for the drive. We had to ask several people for directions in a long walk to the terminal. On Safari, though, he was mostly patient, willing to oblige our requests on the way. He took us up to the Observation Hill in Amboseli. We appreciate that.

Overall, that's a wonderful and unforgettable trip to East Africa.

Amazing Safari. Recommended.

The Safari more than fulfilled our expectations. Masai Mara during migration was a particular highlight.

Fantastic guide and good planning
5/5

Noah Kutti did an excellent job laying out the itinerary while Geoffrey (our guide in Kenya) was just awesome. We plan to come back to Masai Mara soon and there is no qs. as to which company we are going to choose. Only thing is that some of the drives (such as from Nakuru to Mara) are pretty long and over unpaved roads. If you can afford, try taking the flights for these 6+ hour road trips. You back will thank you.

Great Safari experience!
5/5

After contacting something like 30 safari companies we came to Wilderbeest Safaris as they were by far the most competitive. They offered by far the best price, the best accommodations and they were the most responsive. They offer a Whatsapp service meaning they are reachable with immediate responce: Noah made himself available 24/7 replying to our queries immediately which was imperative to us as we booked a 6 days safari just a couple of weeks before departing. No matter the time or the day of the week he was there to help with the planning!
Our tour safari was Steven and we could have not hoped for a better safari guide: he was incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, he knew when to wait for the action and where to look for the animals. He was also very patient and accommodating and great company. He did everything in his power to make our experience the best and we could have not hoped for anything better! We saw the big 5 and much much more including watching some hunting by the big animals! I would definitely recommend Wilderbeest Safaris!

Excellent Tour and Experienced Guide
5/5

We have a very long safari trip and between Kenya and Tanzania. Our first guide Leo is very experienced and have worked for this job for 18 years. He could predict animals' moving route and give me a good angle to take pictures. Thank you Leo, we have a really good time with you.

The second guide in Tanzania Dullah is also very good and fulfilled all our requests. When we go back to Ambosali, Kenya, the third guide is young, and not really experienced. But to sum up, the entire tour is fantastic, and we enjoy it so much.

Tanzania safari - Best safari experience in Africa
5/5

I am just back home after 7 days safari in Tanzania -16 to 22 August!!
We started our safari adventure many months before, preparing a great genuine experience for a group of 19 persons. Noah delivered a tailor-made safari tour for Tanzania, including Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongo, for all these destinations we got ones of the best accommodation lodges (Sopa, Serena, Simba).
The rangers / drivers picked us up from Kilimajaro airport at 1 a.m. and we started the great adventure throughout Tanzanian best savannah, just next day in the morning.
We’ve been very well introduced within the animal’s world; the drivers looked carefully for all type of animals we could find in each reservation. We saw hundreds of wildebeest, lots of elephants, cheetahs, leopard, hippos, hundreds of zebras and lots lots of lions. We also saw buffalo, many kinds of birds, including pelicans, flamingos, many families of baboons, blue monkey, etc. watching their daily routine. Besides these, I personally enjoyed giraffes, which we could spot them especially in Tarangire and Serengeti, but also, along side the road between different reservations.
Many lions we saw in Serengeti, much more than I ever expected, I just cant count them…
All these thousands of animal viewed in one of the best savannah landscapes, were absolutely delightful.
Drivers were very kind, polite and helpful; they were punctual every morning, having the jeeps kept in perfect state, the fridge in the car was constantly filled with still water, so that we could refresh ourselves anytime. They provided with various information about the wildlife (food, habits, hunting, reproducing, etc) and choose the best routes to find animals, nothing was too much for them to bring us the animals at our feet.
Most of the lunches we had were picnic lunch, some of the places chosen for this were charming, with nice view and having all basic facilities.
As I mentioned above, all lodges were perfectly located in the middle of savannah, having breathtaking views over the parks, crater or lake, depends on the location we were in. Very good service during accommodation, well appointed rooms, with all amenities, including self coffee & tea facilities, very spacious, with large outside terraces giving you the feeling you are in the middle of wilderness but, also, safely. They all have nice swimming pools and dinner entertainment with local dancers. Every evening we got to the lodges, I assisted the best sunsets I ever had (I love sunsets).
As a conclusion: games drive were excellent; our drivers / rangers – Hamza, Peter, Ayubu – were professional, attentive, communicative and knowledgeable; accommodation – Serena Lodge, Sopa Lodge and Simba Lodge – just perfect
Although I had a similar experience in Kenya in 2014, and South Africa in 2011, Tanzania safari din year was a great adventure, most of it because of good appointment and coordination of this tour for 19 people!!!

Thank you www.wildebeestsafaris.com!

Excellent!
5/5

I was during the month of August 2016 with a group of 19 people in Tanzania for 7 days and 5 in Zanzibar. In mainland we covered Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I am an experienced person in safari and traveller (visited > 85 countries), so I have the skills, experience and awarness to issue qualifications :) . The drivers we had (Hamza, Ayubu & Peter) were great! The cars were almost new, very well maintained and cleaned during the all period. The lodgies we choosed I knew already the brands from other countries where I did safari so I knew what to expect: but ... all was beyond expectations if I compare the brand Sopa, Simba and Serena with those from Kenya .. for instance.
Everything was delivered by Noah Kuti- one of the managers & owners from Widebeestdafaris Ltd as agreed. The drivers were flexible and it was not easy to deal with the 19 people at once - but everyone was happy in the end and they got home with life time memories.
I fully & with no refrain recommend Wildebeestsafaris for safari in Tanzania. Moreover, I saw that they do now business in Uganda and Ethiopia and for sure I will use them for other groups or to send people there.

Happy travel! :)

Excellent Support
5/5

Wildebeest Safaris has been very responsive & they can tailor made the program to our requirements. The guides in both Kenya & Tanzania are very friendly & experienced. They know where to go & look for the Big 5 & every other rare animals & birds in each of the parks. In Tanzania at Serengeti Park the guide was able to locate a Leopard from the stress calls of the Tapas Monkeys. We were very lucky to see the Wildebeest Migration, live kill by Cheetahs. I am very much satisfied on the service provided by them.
