This trip turned into an experience of a lifetime that exceeded our expectations!!!
My daughter and I went on this Kenyan Safari trip as a college graduation gift to her, a mom/daughter trip. We were nothing but pleased with all of the preparation and execution of the trip. We were provided a very thorough packet to inform us regarding what medical attention was required and what visas/cash would be necessary. The trip itself was beyond words. We were assigned a guide that, if you can request him, you should. James Mbugua did everything in his power to make sure we got to see every animal on each of our wish lists, we saw all of the Big Five, elephants, black rhino, cougar, lion, cape buffalo. In addition the multiple giraffe, wildebeast, hippo, white rhino,zebras, etc... the list just goes on and on. The accomodations were amazing, just rustic enough to let you know you're on a safari, but elegant enough to keep you clean and warm. The food was plentiful and delicious, so many choices, you're bound to find several things with which you're familiar and even adventurous items. The Naivasha Lake Sopa Lodge was my favorite since the animals would walk right by us at dusk on our patio. I cannot say enough to praise the coordination of our time and the vast expanse of the territory we were able to cover. I would do this again in a heart beat. Thank you, Mark and James.

Unforgettable
There was some disorganization regarding the 'add on'day but when I returned to America everything was taken care of by owner and all issues were resolved perfectly. I went to Kenya and Tanzania. This was the most incredible experience of my life. Aside from the hotel in Arusha, all accommodations were beyond expectations, food was incredible and each place provided new views,different themes and cultural experience. So impressed. Guides were amazing as well. Simon in Kenya went out of his way to make sure we had the best trip ever. He even spent a day driving us to places in Nairobi at our request when he could've just dropped us at the hotel and left us to figure out cab/transportation to giraffe Manor and elephant orphanage. Gofry out Tanzania guide was wonderful as well! Extremely knowledgable, friendly and funny!!! Took care of us so well. This was the trip of a lifetime. Price was very very fair and experience was one of a kind. Aside from confusion about last day, everything was perfect. Even so it was the best trip ever. Make sure to bring 2 dollar bills to tip hotel staff. We didn't and definitely overtipped because we didn't have change. Highly recommend! No need to spend 5000, this trip is amazing and affordable

Unforgettable experience!
I traveled to Kenya with 3 friends after booking with Odyssey when I found a Groupon deal for different days that they honored for us. We spent a week traveling to Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. I was concerned that a week wouldn't be enough, but we were busy all day long and traveling from park to park was an adventure in itself with things to see along the way out the window. We absolutely loved our guide, Erastus, and even cried at the airport when he dropped us off! He was extremely friendly and jovial, and I would highly recommend requesting him if anybody else goes with Odyssey. We saw all the animals we hoped to see (elephants galore, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, lions, cheetahs, monkeys, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, etc). 3 out of 4 of us are vegan and had essentially no problems with finding good food to eat. All the lodges were top notch accommodations, and the Kenyan people were all so friendly!

Best experience ever!
Odyssey Safaris gets my highest recommendation, especially if you have James (Kiarie) as your driver/guide. Booking was easy, thanks to an efficient staff. Mark responded quickly to all our many questions, and Beatrice (in Kenya) was invaluable in helping prepare for the trip. The safari exceeded our highest expectations. Nothing is better than seeing wild animals in their natural habitat! Our driver/guide Kiarie took excellent care of us, making sure that all our needs were met, and was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We appreciated being in a small group of four as it made our experience far better than being in a larger group. The lodges we stayed in were very good, as was the food. We've traveled with tours before and have to say that this was the best of the best. We hope to return to Kenya next year and if we do, we definitely will book with Odyssey and ask for Kiarie! Ten stars all the way around.

Excellent value; wonderful trip
I had a wonderful experience with this trip. The travel was seamless, the staff helpful, the lodgings lovely, the food excellent, the wildlife terrific. You will be driving a great deal - some days upwards if 5-6 hrs. But I'm not sure how else you could see as much as we see; if you have back issues it could be problematic, but if you're ok with it and make sure to take care of yourself (stretch, etc.) you'll just love love love the experience. I'm very grateful.

The most amazing time of my life.
The accomodations are equal to 4 star hotels. It is a the most wonderful experience a person can have. To be with these amazing animals in their natural habitat is beyond description. You can almost touch the lions and cheetahs. You are that close. Not to mention the zebras, elephants, giraffes ,rhinoceros ,water buffaloes and the list goes on and on. Our guide , Eurastus, was the most kind, dillegent and wonderful person. He made sure we had a wonderful time .There are no words to describe this experience ! You just have to go yourself to enjoy it.

The trip of a lifetime - so much more than I expected!
This trip turned out so well that I can hardly praise it enough! Pre-trip communication was good, and all my questions were answered promptly. The tour itself was wonderful, due in large part to our guide, Charles. Charles was knowledgable, friendly, and endlessly patient, and I highly recommend him. The hotels were comfortable, and the food was good. I hadn't expected to see quite so many animals - I expect Charles knew just where to find them! Some of the things which made it so enjoyable were just luck: we had a very congenial group, and the weather was beautiful. Still, if I go to Africa again, I will choose Odyssey, and will ask for Charles.

Odyssey Safaris experience
This was an incredible trip from start to finish! Everything was wonderful! The places we stayed were terrific, food was great! In fact, we ate too much! The game drives were so exciting! We saw so many animals and got fabulous pictures. Everyone we came into contact with was extremely nice and welcoming. Our guide, Charles was absolutely fabulous!! He answered numerous questions about the animals and the African culture. He was always in a good mood and was such a joy to be around! This was the vacation of a lifetime! I had dreamed of what I hoped this trip would be like but it was even better!
