The Safari Tour that I am looking for
5/5

We booked The right choice few months before we arrive Kenya, all the questions and information we need were answered very quickly. Then we have issue with Kenya Airways about their flight cancellation and missing luggages. But George and his staff step out of office to arrange the private charter and all nescessary things to make us catching up with our original itinerary. We can't thank them enough. The tour guide was amazing in Maasai Mara, he is very knowledged, trying his best to make our trip memorable. I wish I spend more time in Maasai Mara. Regarding to accommodation, all hotels and resorts are perfect and beautiful. Nothing to complain. Highly recommended.

We had a great 4 days safari trip with Right Choice team!
5/5

Shootout to Millicent and Wycliffe and Right Choice Safari Team! We just finished an amazing, unforgettable 4 days trip in Masai Mara (2 nights); Lake Nakuru (1 night); Lake Naivasha(1hour boat ride on the 4th day). Millicent was excellent in her timely communication with clear answers. Her service was professional. Our driver Wycliffe was a very safe driver, and he was a very knowledgeable guy. We have seen a variety of animals thanks to him. Also he was very patient, he made sure we were satisfied at each stop. And the Mara Sopa Lodge, Lake Nakuru Lodge that we stayed in were too notch. The hotel staff were very friendly. Overall it was a hassel free, memorable experience. We highly recommend this tour group if you are planning to travel to East Africa.

Surpassed all of our expectations and more
5/5

Communications were clear, timely and courteous at all times.
Service was impeccable, and surpassed all of our expectations
The Tour was incredible, with adequate breaks. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five with the help of our eagle eyed driver.
Arrangements for our stays in the three parks were seamless, had amazing food, loved the staff and stays.
Plan to revisit in Kenya/Tanzania, and will be seeking out George and Right Choice Tours & Safaris for sure.

Knowledgable, thoughtful, excellent safari operator!
5/5

My son and I were in Nairobi on business and decided at the last moment to book a safari. After some research on the topic, I chose Safari Bookings as the quickest and most reliable way to ascertain what I wanted. I took their recommendation and put in my dates and requirements on three possible guide outfits, and received three really good options to choose from. For what I wanted, I chose Good Choice Tours and Safaris, and they turned out to be that... a really good choice.

With literally only ten days advance notice, Millicent at Good Choice set us up for a customized 5-day version of their 3-day luxury safari option. The results were excellent: amazing accommodations; accurate pick up and return times; beautifully prepared/ presented dining at all meals; excellent tour guide/ driver (John); lots and lots of diverse animals and birds to see; friendly people; and amazingly, after all that... a really good value!

I can say that both Safari Bookings and Good Choice Safaris come highly recommended.

High quality guides, knowledgeable, professional and friendly
5/5

Very thorough. George responded to every enquiries I had in a timely manner. Ismal (out guide for Kilimanjaro) is very well educated and professional. He organised the team well while ensured the service provided to us is thorough and professional. We also enjoyed out safari tour very much and really excited to see the animals in actions. If there is future opportunities, would definitely return to Tanzania again :-)

Everything well Organized and Executed
5/5

Booking a trip to Africa is a daunting task with 100's of tour providers offering all sorts of tours and expeditions. George and his team ensured that all the details of our trip were planned perfectly, from the time we landed, we had a smiling face to welcome us and bring us to the hotel.

The vehicle was an African Limousine (Land Cruiser Safari Stretch), brand new with all the right modifications to ensure our safaris were perfect.

Ken, was extremely nice, great personality, very knowledgeable and insightful. No animal or small gesture was missed on his part. Around the craziness of drivers in Africa, Bob drove very respectfully, and NEVER spoke/texted on his phone while driving. I would ask for Ken the next time I come to Kenya.

In Tanzania we had the best 4x4 driver, Salim, he also noticed every animal and sight to see. We crossed rivers, mud bogs, and unbelievable terrains with calm and ease. Very much appreciated as we saw several trucks on their side during river crossings.

We arrived very early for our flight to Zanzibar, flight was good. In Zanzibar, I recommend upgrading to the Ocean Front Villa (nothing wrong with the villa given) . but for very little $$ you get a great view with a great room. All meals were included, very nice spread with something for anyone. If you don't like buffets, you choose the a la carte restaurant which is very inexpensive. We extended our trip for two days and went to Stone Town. Very much worth the time and small upgrade. Stone Town is filled with history that is so very important to learn, and we were only 10 minutes to the airport the next day.

Great Experience! Thank you George, Ken and Salim.

The Best in the Business
5/5

I started with a quote request over the email, compared the alternative service providers and I found that between the 3 that I had shortlisted, Millicent Aluku of Right Choice was communicating everything with ease and a lot of patience.. and I had many small and minute queries... she prepare the itinerary in consultation with me and the number of days i wanted to do safari and she also had part solutions for a holiday leg for which I did not end up booking a hotel with them (which I should have done as they know best). 5 stars to Millicent for all her hard work, she is the best at her job!

I had specifically asked for an experienced and patient guide as I was touring with family, (3 generations - grandad,grandmom-son- grandson) and it was our good fortune that Ken was available to take us on our safari. Just like Millicent, I would give 5 stars for Ken as he fulfilled our sighting wishlist in toto and worked hard for all of the 4+ days that we were with him.. the vehicle was clean every morning, he was always ready on time, he made the effort to find out where the animals were on the day, placing his vehicle at the best picture taking spot and was driving his landcruiser smoothly on the highway.. Ken is reliable, friendly, helpful and knows his work and his vehicle very well. You can make no mistake with Ken by your side...

A couple of tips from my perspective: one should always opt for the landcruiser vehicle during safari and if given an option definitely stay for a minimum of 2 nights at Sopa Lodge, Lake Naivasha, its a beautiful property and 1 day is just too short as you merely touch and go onroute to Nairobi.. Hells Gate may be a small park but its a slice of paradise just like all the other natural abodes that Kenya has.
with Right Choice you cant go wrong,

Thank you Ken, Millicent and George

Amazing 4 day Masai Mara Lake Nakuru Safari with Right Choice Tours and Safaris
5/5

The communication with George and Millicent, owners of Right Choice Tours and Safaris, was excellent with quick turn around right from the beginning. They were quick to give us suggestions but also allowed us to customize our trip to the Mara and Lake Nakuru. With fifteen people in our family, ages 11 to 73, we had the trip of a lifetime! Three fabulous guides, Tom, Moses, and SK, with smiling faces met us at NBO and became part of our family for 4 days. They showed us Kenya, the back roads in the Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru with 6 intense game drives that allowed us to view most of the wild in theses reserves. We saw 4 of the Big Five. That Leopard was hiding from us, but he was there. The accommodations, food and service were excellent at Keekarok Lodge in the Mara and Sopa Lodge at Nakuru. At our request, we were taken to a Maasai Village near the Maasai Mara. This was a cultural and educational highlight for our family. A cake and song and dance to celebrate my husband and my 50th wedding anniversary was awaiting us at Sopa Lodge-a pleasant surprise. We could ask for nothing greater than what we experienced with Right Choice. Thanks George and Millicent.

Scammed out of $3000AUD
2/5

It pains me to leave such a negative review on what was actually an excellent tour. Myself and my husband took a 6 day luxury tour using right choice safaris in December/Jan and had an excellent time. While the tour was as hoped, all accommodations were excellent and the driver very good unfortunately I have to leave this company a negative review as we were scammed out of thousands of dollars when making payment to this company for our tour. On arrival we were informed we needed to settle final payment I advised that we had already made final payment and had emails from them and confirmation from the bank, they then informed us that their email had been hacked and the person I had been communicating with and who I had transferred money to was not them. Unfortunately they informed us they had suspicions that this may be the case and neglected to contact us using another form of communication to inform us of this suspicion knowing that this had happened to them before when their email was hacked on a prior occasion. We were forced to make another payment at the office of $3000AUD. While they attempted to contact the bank to make amends we have unfortunately not at this stage been able to get our money back and I have no idea whether their email really did get hacked or whether they were part of the scam. If using right choice safaris I advise make payment at the office on arrival not via bank transfer.

Dear Jess,
I apologize on behalf of everyone at Right Choice safaris. Your review is very concerning to us.
Please know that your situation was an exception. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about our customers.

As it can happen anywhere all over the world, email accounts whether corporate, individual, state agencies, name it can get hacked. After realizing that our emails were hacked, we promptly shared this position with our incoming clients through our gmail account. I suspect this have happened after you had initiated the last wire transfer that ended up in the fraudulent account in South Africa.

This was unfortunate situation for all of us.
You made first payment to our correct account details and this was promptly acknowledged. Second payment, you paid to South Africa bank. This was unique.
In such circumstances, a polite advice to any one reading this response, please call the agency to seek clarifications. Matters regarding payment are sensitive. When there is a directive asking one to send money to a different account, before doing so, it's important to get clearest instruction.

Personally, I called the recipient bank in South Africa, fraud department and a case was opened. All the communications, are with you and you have the reference number. Your husband also called the bank and I believe the communication is on.
A case was opened on this matter. The time frame on which they will conclude their investigations is not something I cant precisely make a comment on. What I know for sure, the bank will always give a response towards any fraud case brought to their attention. My prayers is that you will get your money back. There is enough evidence to guarantee this position. And if that happens, I believe you will pull down this review too.

Calling Right choice safaris as scammers is not only appropriate but truly not realistic given all the commitments we have shown so far in this matter.

We can’t fix the past but you have my personal commitment to improve on our email security system. Until then, please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of everyone on the team.
