The Kenya/Tanzania tour was a blast!
Writing this review will never do justice to the experience we had on this trip. I could write an entire book on the trip and still not get in the sense of how wonderful it was. The beauty of Africa cannot be captured in words or pictures, it must be experienced in person.
My daughter (age 21) and I went on a 16 day Safari using Right Choice Safaris. This was our first time in Africa, and we both had the time of our lives! Below is the highlight itinerary sent to us by George:
"Safari Highlights.
01 night in Nairobi on arrival. Good for those arriving after mid day.
02 nights in Amboseli
01 night at the Lake Nakuru national park- Kenya
03 nights at the Masai Mara game reserve- Kenya. Migration at best
02 nights at the Serengeti game reserve -Tanzania
01 night at the Ngorongoro crater -Tanzania
01 night at Tarangire national park- Tanzania
04 nights in Zanzibar, Blue bay beach resort"
The Safari was planned by the organization and we followed all of their recommendations and did not do any "customization" of our own. We had a private safari for the two of us which gave us the freedom to go at our own pace. Our guide in Kenya was Jacob and in Tanzania, Fadhil. I believe Right Choice Safaris handles the Kenya part and partners with KiliSlopes in Tanzania for the Tanzania part.
Every place we stayed at was absolutely wonderful. The safari had a combination of tents and lodges to give us a taste of both kinds of experiences, and we loved both.
George was always available, answered all our questions, and was in touch throughout the trip for getting our feedback. My sister and her husband are going next year and they are going to contact George to set it up for them because we had such a positive experience with him.
Jacob and Fadhil were both amazing. I do hope that when we go back, and we most definitely want to go back, that we will get to work with Jacob and Fadhil again. They were both super knowledgeable, both friendly and fun, and both wanted to teach us about the animals, their behaviors, and their roles in the larger ecosystem.
Everything was amazing. Lodging, food, service, and of course, the most important part, nature and game viewing.
For game viewing, make sure you take binoculars. Also, take the best cameras you have and ample storage. We took over 5000 pictures!! Expect to be in a car for 8-12 hours a day in order to get maximum viewing experience. It sounds like a lot, but when you're being driven through some of the most beautiful lands in the world, and seeing animals up close, it all flies by so fast.
It's hard to pick a favorite spot for us. Each park/reserve had its own unique ecosystem and we are glad we went to all of them. If you have to skip one of the destinations due to lack of time, I recommend skipping Zanzibar only because it took us a long time to get there (drive/fly/delayed flights, etc.). If we absolutely had to recommend one place to see for first time travelers, then we'd recommend the Masai Mara/Serengeti parks which are really an extension of each other, are the spot for the migration, and a must see for anyone who ever goes on a safari.
Vaccinations: Make sure you see a travel doctor and get the correct vaccinations. Furthermore take your vaccination cards with you. Without proper proof of vaccinations, they will not let you into the country.
Health precautions: Do your research on how not to get sick there. Our travel doctor gave us an entire packet which we reviewed thoroughly. If you do, you won't get sick there and will be able to enjoy your trip fully.
Tips: Get your cash and exchange it to the correct currency before you travel. Finding ATMs in the country was not an easy task, and no one has enough change there for you! Get your money before you go and have it broken down into small change. The staff everywhere expects to be tipped, and you need tons of change. Tip graciously! They sure deserve it.

Above expectations
I was looking for reliable and inexpensive safari in Kenya. After checking few different offers (and TripAdvisor) I have decided to go for 6 days trip: Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli with Right Choice. And indeed, it was right choice. The owner, George, was very responsive and answered to the point all queries raised. The safari itself is well designed so that you have more and less busy days (so it gives you opportunity to rest a bit too). The standard accommodation is fine (although in Amboseli I paid for the upgrade but it was worth of it) and we were traveling in 6 seater van which is a standard on safaris in Kenya.
We went for safari with Ken who is professional, easy going and well organized guide. He always kept time, drove safely and took good care of us. He also has extensive knowledge about wildlife and during the game drives put a lot of effort to ensure we had the best possible experience. He was always in touch in other guides which for example gave us an opportunity to see lions and cheetahs at close distance.
Before the tour I worried about any unexpected issues but with Right Choice’s professionalism the safari was a pleasure with literally everything taken care of, for example I was impressed to learn that the car gets checked after each game drive to prevent any break down.

Amazing safari!
So great and so amazing! Everything, from the first contact with George until we get back the the airport (after the safari) worked very well. During the safari we had a great guide, jacob, that showed us all the big 5 in Masai Mara. Jacob was an excellent driver and he took us to places in the park that we thought no one could drive to - but he could and ge did it on a safe way! Our safari was a totally awesome experience. So happy that we booked with Right Choice! :-D
And we had a great weather as well, we was a little worried about the rainy season (april-may) but no rain come, it was dry and sunny (from e clear blue sky) every day!
One day before we started our safari Jacob also took us around in Nairobi, to visit the David Sheldrick (elefant babys) and the giraffe center. So nice of him, it feeled very safe to drive around the busy city with him.
During the safari we stayed at Ashnil mara camp and the lodge was like everything els so great.
We loved our safari! Must go back in the future! And when we go, we would definitely go with "Right Coice" again.

Exactly as expected
George was very responsive since the beginning, and that is how we wound up choosing him from abut ten initial proposals we received. Every detail of the trip was well established from the beginning, which was a huge deal for a an incessant planner like me! The guides were good, and the trip went exactly as expected. Highly recommend

Trip to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara
Very well organized trip. George gave us all the help we needed ahead of time; Ruben was an excellent host on our first day. Finally, Ken was a great driver/guide; very knowledgeable and helpful! He was determined to show us the "big 5"....and by God he did! In addition, we saw a lot of fantastic birds and animals (including a baby white rhino).
The facilities we stayed in were also great; overall, a great experience.

Amazing Safari
What can I say but excellent safari. I had several questions and George answered them right away. Our guide Peter was amazing he was very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw. He positioned us for the best pictures you could image. He let us look as long as we wanted and did his best to fulfil our requests during the safari. We was able to see the big 5 in first 3 days of a 4 day safari. The food was superb out in the bush camp. Allen, the chef is a true master of the grill for all meals. The taste and seasoning was awesome, he made sure we was full every meal. The accommodations was more than I expected out of a tent camp. My wife who hates camping in a tent thought the accommodations was very good. I would highly recommend booking with Right Choice Tours for your Kenya safari. I will definitely come back for another safari during the great migration and book again with Right Choice Tours and Safaris. Thank you for an amazing time.

Reliable, Honest and Professional
We were traveling as a young couple. Accordingly we had requests and concerns to be attended to and the dedication of the Company to accommodate our requirements duly as needed was commendable and much appreciated. The communication with the General Manager of the Company makes everything easier and more flexible in terms of proper planning. All issues are taken care of in advance and the general service in terms of quality, professional behavior, safety requirements is top notch. The choice of the right man in the right place to be your guide during the Safari is of utmost importance and this is what Mr. Opani, our guide for the trip, was : the perfect man for the perfect trip, his composure, attitude, assurance and knowledge of the wilderness, the animals, educated information made everything smooth for us during the trip.
Also, the Safari exceeded our expectations in terms of being able to see all categories of animals, Big ones and less big, the so-called Big 5 and the other animals one expects to see, even those you don't expect to see. But I recommend patience to all individuals as time needs to be given to animals to show themselves sometimes and also to behave normally inn the presencce of people in terms f hunting habits and so on. We have to Thank Mr. Opani again to teaching us this, to be patient in order to enjoy the experience.
A little note though about the details of the Plan : the transition times from one place or area to another in the Safari program should be mentioned and clarified, sometimes we didn't expect the large amount of time spent in terms of transition from one place to another through the days, which corresponds to long hours of driving...but in the company of someone like Mr. Opani this wasn't a big issue after all, time eventually flies by :).
