Amazing 12 days Safari with Regional Tours
My sister and I went on a Safari with Regional Tours and they did not disappoint. I researched and chose to go on 12 days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar holiday with Regional tours because of their reasonable cost and the positive reviews. I worked with Manu and came up with fantastic itinerary to visit famous parks – Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro plus a few Zanzibar and he added an extra park- Lake Manyara which was nice.
The Safari was very thrilling in a four wheel drive truck driven by our sweet guide Joseph. We got to see the big 5 plus many other animals. We then went to Zanzibar and Omar- the guide in stone town and spice tour is a very jovial guy.
Thanks a lot Regional tours.

Awesome time with Regional Tours!!
Wonderful Trip with Regional Tours
I and 7 of my friends had the most fantastic 4 days Ngorongoro and Serengeti glamping safari with Regional Tours under the guidance of guides Joseph who was the guide in our vehicles and Novatus in the other truck. I found Joseph as a patient, considerate and extremely professional guide extensive knowledge of the parks, animals and extraordinary spotting skills as he would discover animals that we had not yet seen while he was still driving. We had two new vehicles at our disposal for our group and they have been modified with pop up roof for safe game viewing, with a fridge, WIFI, and charging points. Each day was unfolded a different experience in different areas of Serengeti. We saw wildlife up close in their natural habitat, all the Big 5 and most special 2 black rhinos and a young.
Our group travels a lot to different parts of the world but I must confess that this was one of the most memorable experiences which were facilitated by Regional Tours. The lodgings were on point including the pool in the middle of Serengeti which served as winding down and sundowner point after the action-packed days.
If you want to get value for your time and money then Regional Tours is the company to talk to.

Finally conquered Kilimanjaro
In January 2019 my girlfriend and I conquered Mount Kilimanjaro with Regional Tours. We did the 7 days Machame route so that we did outdoor camping all the way up the mountain. The climb was very scenic, with beautiful views of spectacular landscapes. Our crew, consisted of Alex the head guide with the cook and porters and they did everything for us to ensure that we got to the summit and back safely. They were always very cheerful and kept our moods up with their singing and dancing on the mountain.
I am really thankful to the head guide Alex, and your assistant guides. It was an amazing trip of our lifetime we highly recommend Regional Tours!

maginificent
Magnificent times in Tanzania
This is one of the best and managed tour companies I have used for safari tours, it was just awesome work by Manu. He was patient and so prompt as to finalize our personalized tour we had almost 100 emails between us. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Joseph, made the trip amazing. He has over 10 years’ experience and executed our plans really well! In addition he was accommodating and made stops and when we requested, though he was the first to spot interesting views. He is a great guide and knows all the best viewing spots in all the parks. We saw lions, elephants, hippos, buffalos, hyenas, dikdik, kudu, giraffes, cheetahs and many more. Joseph has an excellent sense of humour and a great teacher as well as we learnt quite a lot of Swahili during the trip.
I found everything straight forward from; planning, processing, payment arrangements, itinerary, pre safari information, maps. All in all the tour went on very smoothly.

Great Adventure Tour in Tanzania
We had such a wonderful adventure on the Safari tour to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The trip was well planned and everything went on smoothly, our guide & driver Novatus made sure everyone was comfortable in the safari vehicle as some of the drives are long and the roads bumpy. Novatus is a fantastic guide, very super knowledgeable about nature, local communities, wildlife, politics and a friendly person. He was always punctual waiting for us in the morning and even made sure that we did not miss our flight back home. The parks are swarming with different wild animals, birds, insects, trees. Some of the places that we visited are very beautiful and like the Ngorongoro viewpoint just takes your breath away. Novaus gave us a tour the local towns and villages which showed us how the people in Tanzania live. Most remarkable was a the Hadzabe tribesmen in Lake Eyasi. The safari vehicle was spacious and safe as some of the animals come very close and you feel they are next to you. We had great adventure as he drove from one location to the next location experiencing different luxury camps like a mobile hotels with full bedroom and private bathroom.
It was a great holiday and We highly recommend Regional Tours.

I had a wonderful trip with Regional Tour
Our safari with Regional Tours in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar was the trip of a lifetime. I found them through a friend referral after searching the without success as I was a bit skeptical on making such a huge purchase upfront without prior contact with the operator however from our first contact I was reassured with the fast response of our requests and by the time it came to wire the funds I had full confidence in the company.
From our arrival at Kilimanjaro airport everything went perfectly as planned. A guide in uniform was there to welcome us
Our safari was more than perfect, our very experienced Maasai guide is truly a walking encyclopedia on Tanzania, he knew all the trees, birds, animals and also taught us a lot about the Maasai Culture. We visited 4 parks ( Manyara, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengeti). Each was a different experience and special in its own way. We also spent time Maasai family in Ngorongoro and it was very nice to see how they live in harmony with nature.
I was happy that we got to see all the big 5 plus numerous of other animals.
Zanzibar is spectacular and very diverse- Old buildings in Stonetown city tour, spice farms, sumptuous meals and wonderful beaches.
I loved the way the whole tour was arranged, they helped us luxurious accommodations with good food, prompt transfers, a strong comfortable safari vehicle which is very important as some of the roads in the parks were very rough
Thanks you Regional Tours for a job well done.

Wow! What a Safari and Zanzibar Holiday
Regional Tours is a cut above the rest. Our 9 day Tanzania Safari started in Dar-es salaam where the Regional Tours guide Hassan picked us from our hotel and took us to Selous Game Reserve. Initially I was a little bit sceptical that we would not be able to spot game owing to the vastness of the park, however I was totally wrong. Hassan is special quite special and has a natural knack of spotting animals in the most unexpected places like a leopard that was up a tree. His knowledge of the birds, and wild game was dazzling. He could give us so many details on the habits of each of the animals that we saw. If you happen to visit Selous, then do not miss the boat ride. We explored so many areas that one cannot reach with the game vehicles and it is just beautiful. We then had a long drive to Ruaha N.P. via Mikumi N.P. We did not get to see much at Mikumi as we kept to the main road however the scenery is also very beautiful. Raha was very different from Selous, It very dry and dusty but also with many baobab trees. I must give it to Hassan that we got to see huge herds of buffalo, 2 different prides of lion that for some strange reason seemed not to have males.
It was sad to say goodbye to Hassan at the airstrip for our flight to Zanzibar. This island has some of the best beaches I have been to and cannot forget the cultural walks in stone town and prison Island, I wish I had set aside

Excellent planning and accommodations limited communication post payment.
I searched high and low for a safari that offered luxury accommodations for an affordable rate. When I came across Regional Tours I was very excited with the accommodations and the price. I took several days to shop around and could not find anything more affordable that was similar in accommodations. The Regional Tours representative was in constant communication ensuring that I was knowledgeable about the safari and wanted me to complete booking quickly. I was initially apprehensive regarding the payment arrangement of Wiring money. I spent 5% more than the requested price to pay with a credit card. I did not receive a confirmation of payment, and when I reached out to the company to confirm the payment I did not get a response for a few days which made me nervous. I also sought answers regarding my confirmation of accommodations and plans before a big trip such as this. I did not receive communication for several days at a time. I felt that once my payment had been made they had vanished and my money was taken. After doing some research I learned that this was common behavior for this company. I was relieved upon arrival in Tanzania that my safari guide was waiting and ready with a sign with my name on it for me and my friend. The safari over all was well planned, the accommodations simply beautiful, and could not have been more pleased with the safari jeep. Me and my friend googled interactions with safari guides on safari as our guide was quiet a lot of the time and we were unsure if this was the typical dynamic of a safari. Amani was very knowledgeable about the animals however we felt that he did not have the enthusiasm that would have made this a safari more exciting. We certainly enjoyed his safety measures taken during the safari and his extreme Passion for following the rules, as we like to feel safe on vacation. We would have liked more communication throughout as to what we were doing so that we could be more informed. I was disappointed one day when Amani decided to leave the game drive before inquiring if we were ready to go. It was my favorite location for me, not knowing exactly the routes I was not sure of our whereabouts and didn't notice that we were leaving the park. Another area of negativity was the back door of the safari jeep was not working therefore we had to lug heavy luggage multiple rows down a narrow Jeep in-and-out daily, em 6oi. Uwith not much assistance from our guide. We could tell that he was not eager to carry or lift our bags so we did the grunt work on vacation which was not fun. We tipped the typical amount, however felt we should have reduced the amount due to having to work so hard with our luggage. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and I would certainly recommend Regional Tours and Safaris.

Beyond our expectations and a big thanks to Allen, our guide for the 6 days.
My wife and I did a 6 day safari organized through Regional Tours & Safari and we still talk about how wonderful it was, 5 months on. The choice of accommodation and standard of food throughout was excellent but it was thanks to our guide Allen (operated by Mamasavanna) who made our experience so much more. Allen is an impeccable driver with a fun sense of humour but he always seemed to go that extra mile for us. On one occasion whilst driving, we heard the trumpeting of elephants from behind the thick wall of jungle in the distance. Two other vehicles from another company in front of us sped on in the hope of seeing them but Allen had a different idea, turned the vehicle around and waited. Sure enough, a huge number of elephants came running past (from a safe distance) and we were able to drive along side of them. When most other drivers would take their groups to a busy picnic spot with other tour groups, Allen would find a peaceful spot just for ourselves and on one occasion we were surrounded by zebras whilst eating our packed lunch. With his knowledge, we now have some wonderful photos of the big 5 and so much more to keep as memories and we still keep in touch via social media.
As with other reviewers, the lack of communication with Regional tours & safari was frustrating and I do wonder why they advertise as themselves and then give us a guide (and vehicle) operated by another company but in the end, they delivered beyond our expectations.

Not just a wonderful tour guide, also a wonderful friend..
My husband and I had the chance to go to Tanzania with Regional Tours. This was our second safari, but the first one with a regional tour company, through safaribookings.com. The pre-tour communication was really annoying, I had to wait for a response to my e-mails and whatsapp messages for days. Because of that we were a little bit anxious until we get out the Kilimanjaro Airport. But from the moment we saw the nice guy who came to pick us up, everything was miraculous. Tanzania is a wonderful country, with the savannahs, the forests, lakes and everything. But it was much more wonderful with Harun, our tour guide, and now our friend. Regional Tour has arranged everything in a perfect way. The lodges we've stayed, the tour program, people that we met at the tour office, their behaviour to us, everything was perfect and we were just like in a dream. But Harun, he is the one who make your day, the one who made this tour so perfect and joyful. He is a kind, smart, funny and warm person. You can ask him whatever you want and he always has the answers. He loves to explain what you're curious about, he has a huge knowledge about animals, plants, the geography and the history of the places we've been. I've learned too much from him. And you can see that he loves his job, he loves all these animals, the nature and this means a lot. He's smart, he understands what you want to see, what you want to do, and guide you so well. At the end of our amazing Tanzania trip, he was no longer our tour guide, he was a good friend that we hope will always be.
