Once in a lifetime!
I would highly recommend AA Safaris. From pick up to drop off everything ran very smoothly and according to itinerary.
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to assist with any queries we had.
The tour itself, 4 day Gorilla & golden monkey trek (Uganda + Rwanda) is a great mix to really maximize your time in that part of the world.
I would not hesitate to send friends, family, colleagues etc to travel with AA in the future. They really do care about their customers.

Efficient , responded quickly and were very friendly.
Booking the reservation was very efficient and when we arrived in Africa I found I really didn't need to worry about making arrangements and changes from a distance. Our guide , Joseph Lubega, was with us from the start . I will not hesitate to recommend him to friends going to Africa with AA Safaris . His knowledge of animals , birds , people, history and language was more than we could have hoped for . Anticipating our needs, making sure we were comfortable ,had our favorite fruit and helping us with banking and postal services made our trip so effortless. Even recovering a camera battery that was left miles behind. Keeping us on a schedule was no easy task! But he did it calmly and with kindness. We asked him to stop at the rhino sanctuary and he reorganized the safari around this to make sure we didn't miss anything. The sanctuary was one of the highlights for me and I will be forever thankful to him for that .I always felt we were safe while travelling with him.
Our husbands weren't able to join us and , during our phone calls ,we were honestly able to assure them we were safe and in good hands.
Please add my name to your web site as a happy customer that will answer questions to those considering travel with AA Safaris.
Thank you all for my trip of a lifetime.

AA Safaris & Tours - 2 week wildlife adventure
My sister-in-law and I returned home 2 weeks ago from our wonderful dream of a lifetime adventure. It all stated with communications with Sydah who looked after getting us organized with all the information for immunizations, currency, dos and don'ts. Thanks Sydah you really helped us get it together. And then there was Joseph, our guide, who met as at Entebee with a big smile and huge welcome after our 2 days of flying to get there. Throughout the whole 2 weeks we couldn't have asked for anything better. Joseph looked after our every need, want and desire and kept us and our belonging safe. We were never worried or concerned about anything. Joseph is very knowledgeable about the country, each Kingdom, the wildlife and birds. We saw and did more than we could have wished for. Joseph helped us with exchanging our money, getting our phone, sims card and figuring our how to make phone calls home. He gave us tips on what to eat and what to stay away from. Advised us when it was okay to take photos of people and when it was not - very helpful. We even stopped at the Rino sanctuary which was not on the itinerary which is really a must go to. Each wildlife game ride was exciting, beautiful and educational. We also did the Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi. I was a difficult trek in the forest but with the experienced guides and highly recommend porters we got to see and sit with the Gorillas for an hour. After leaving Bwindi and getting to QE park I realized I had left some valuables in Bwindi, Joseph was immediately on the phone and organizing getting it to Kampala so I could get it back before leaving for home. Amazing! Never expected him to do that and never thought it possible but he made it happen. The people of Uganda are beautiful, welcoming and just plain sweet! Thank you Joseph for being such an amazing host and making our time so remarkable and unforgettable.

Mount Elgon Climbing : Company Rep did all to make savings and spoil AA clients
The operator representative made all possible savings on food, water, camping material, transfers.
On arrival the operator rep had no car and we assumed HIS transfer to the starting point when it's OUR transfer that was supposed included. On way back we got transfer after having hardly insisted. We also had to insist to have enough porters, the operator rep trying to save on them letting us transporting our bags when mail exchanges were clear on the subject : only a small walking bag per person and the rest (night and change) by porters.
During the trek was only planned 1.5 l of water per person and per day, rice, noodles, popatoes and .... meat once over 4 days (two of us were vegetarians but all of us have been turned to "carbohydrates-only" vegetarism).
Tents and sleeping bags were not adapted to cold conditions below 0 and nights were nightmares. Tents, ventilated like for savannah and had holes, jammed zips, an arch broken (we repared as we could). Peds and tensioners were missing and we had to fix it ourself. Sleeping bags were very thin and cold and one bag was even a commercial gift printed with a beer advertising !
After complain, the operator proposed that WE would promote them to friends who would benefit of a discount. No compensation for the bad service we received.
