They are extremely efficient and knowledgeable.
Around Africa Safaris was wonderful to work with regarding our itinerary, dates, changes, information, and details. Our contact person was Robert Nyeko. He is extremely efficient and timely. No matter the time, he responded to questions and concerns immediately.
Our itinerary for Rwanda and Uganda was extremely active with a lot of driving and sightseeing. The itinerary that Robert sent us was very detailed. He continued to send updated versions as we made date and accommodation changes. I worked in the travel industry for years and have traveled extensively, Robert is as good as it gets!
We traveled as a family of 5 adults. We were a “team” with our leader / guide / driver, Ambrose. Ambrose is incredibly knowledgeable about each city and park we visited. He is also knowledgeable about the facts of animals and countries in East Africa. We adored Ambrose instantly and our affection and respect grew from there. We looked forward to hearing everything he had to share. Some of our days and drives were long, but Ambrose kept us entertained and interested. Visiting the chimpanzees and the gorillas were all time travel highs. Uganda as a country is amazingly beautiful. I was mesmerized by all the green and mountains.
Anyone wanting to visit Africa, I will highly recommend Uganda as a must-see destination. It is still a little off the radar, which is in my opinion, the best time to explore places. We encountered very few tourists. The Ugandan people are friendly and eager to please. All of our accommodations were nice. The standouts were: Rwakobo Rock / Hornbill House, Karibu Guest House, Isunga Lodge and Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Wonderful trip through Uganda perfectly guided by David IJuka
We had a wonderful time in Uganda. Nature is astonishing, the people are friendly and the animals amazing. We had overnight stays in different lodges, each with their own assets. Our guide was able to get us safely from one destination to the other, despite the sometimes challenging trips. Big part of our superbe experience was thanks to him. David Iljuka combines large knowledge of nature and socio-economy, wildlife, history of the country etc. On top of that he loves to share it all and he fits in the group perfectly. In other words:if you are planning to discover Uganda and all of its treasures, we know who to advise as your perfect guide!

Short but excellent Uganda experience!
As part of our business trip to Uganda, Around Africa Safaris organized a short trip for us to Lake Mburo and Bwindi. David was our fantastic guide. Both places were more than amazing. With the very knowledgable help of David, we spotted over 100 species of (often very beautiful) birds. In Bwindi we spent 1 hour very close to a family of 16 gorilla's, chilling in the forest and seemingly interested in watching us (instead of the other way around). Truly a great experience. David was very helpful, punctual, knowledgable (he knew all the birds by name and sound and spotted them all) and he was very keen on pointing out things of natural and cultural interest and he introduced us to the Uganda Rolex food. He is also a great car mechanic so we felt very safe in his hands. In a few days he managed to give us a full Uganda experience and because of him for sure we will come back for a longer visit. Thanks a lot David!!!!

Around Africa Safaris is tops
I contacted Explore Plus Travel in South Africa during the beginning of the year, provided them with some of the National Park names and my bucket list items that I would like to experience in Uganda. They have put together an amazing itinerary for me. From the moment I arrived in Entebbe on 4th June 2022, I experienced Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Kibale National Forest, Lake Mburo, Bwindi National Forest to the Mbamba Swamps on the last morning of 15th June 2022.
Explore Plus Travel arranged these two weeks in Uganda in conjunction with Around Africa Safaris company who provided us with a driver for the two weeks and being our go-to-people while in Uganda. David Ijuka (our driver) is a great young man, his knowledge of his country, the birdlife and National Parks are above board. He always went out of his way to find the birds and animals on our to-see list for the day. The gravel roads in Uganda aren’t for the faint hearted but he managed them like a pro. We received our daily bush massages

An amazing week-perfectly planned and full of incredible experiences!
We had a wonderful week in Uganda and Rwanda in November, 2016. Our time we spent there was filled with incredible impressions and great experiences- a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

Beautiful tour across Uganda
Our recent tour across Uganda and several of its national parks would have not been the same without Milton Saturday, our skilled driver and guide of Around Africa Safaris! His explanations and suggestions helped us to better comprehend animals and places we have seen and people we have met. His efforts to make us feel more comfortable with travels, food and accommodations were laudable! Furthermore, his patience and knowledge often made us able to locate and watch animals long before the arrival of other travellers, with all the joy and quietness required in these situations: this is priceless and gave us moments that we shall treasure forever! I won't mention examples of what we have seen, I only say that I warmly recommend a tour in Uganda and nearby countries with Milton and Around Africa Safaris! Great job, guys!

A very professional and trustworthy tour operator
It's highly comforting to travel with a reliable tour operator in a beautiful country that enables you to enjoy all the splendour without worring about a single thing. Around Africa Safaris definitely exceeded our expectations. There are a few factors that decide whether your trip is a success or not. One of those factors are the vehicle and the guide. Our 4WD was spacious, comfortable and clean, and Saturday Milton was our experienced and knowledgable guide who did an amazing job. Furthermore, any little problem was solved instantly. Around Africa Safaris has a very dedicated team making sure you get the best experience possible.
As for Uganda as a destination, a must visit for anyone who seeks unique encounters! The country offers wonderful safaris and unforgettable chimpanzee and gorilla trekkings. Also the local people are friendly, the landscapes are divers and there are fantastic lodges with a nice atmosphere and tasty food. All of that without the crowdy tourism you see coming up for example in Tanzania or Kenya.

Everything was impeccable

Unforgettable experience!
