Beautiful country!
It’s a beautiful country, with so much adventurous activities. The wildlife sightings are a dream come true for any wildlife enthusiast. Avoid travelling to Mombasa in Jan-Mar, as it gets very hot in the day.

Review about Hell’s Gate National Park by Kumar Ankur
Opt for a cycling tour. Can be skipped if doing Nakuru/Mara, as the gorges are closed.

Trip of a lifetime perfectly hosted by Spirit of Kenya
We booked 5 day trip visiting Amboseli NP, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara via Spirit of Kenya. Team was super responsive to every query I had before the trip started.
During the trip, from the moment we exited the airport to the moment we reentered it, everything was planned and hosted perfectly by Spirit of Kenya. Our guide, Joseph was extremely knowledgeable & friendly, while he also knew when to give us our privacy & let us enjoy. He helped me plan the proposal & picked a perfect spot for the same for me, while also capturing the moment.
Spirit of Kenya provided us with great hotel & travel options as per our budget and can't praise enough the hospitality we enjoyed at every place we visited.
Highly recommend Spirit of Kenya for the safari experience and we can't wait to be back soon.

This is nature
I enjoyed 1 day private game drive. It was rather reasonable: $385 each including breakfast and lunch.
Unfortunately, we could see only buffalo among BIG5 from the distance. We could also come across zebra, impala, baboon, giraffe, hippo and crocodile. They said lions and elephants are sermon the day and the day before. Our guide drive said this is nature, animals are not always appear.

He was absolutely exceptional and felt like family.
It was an awe-inspiring, life-altering journey. This is something everyone should experience at least once, and it doesn't have to break the bank. From the exhilarating game drives to the cozy tents we stayed in, every aspect was flawless. We felt entirely secure throughout, and our guide was always available for assistance. Witnessing the Big Five was truly transformative. We saw Lions, Zebras, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalos, just to name a few.

Highly responsive and trustworthy
Just returned from a wonderful trip to Kenya. We were very pleased with the service provided by Bison Safaris. I think it would be difficult/impossible to organize a trip from the US without the help of a company and working with a local company was great. The agent was always very responsive and we organized a rather complicated trip (because we were traveling with my wife's large family they live in Kenya). Everything went so smoothly and we had a great time. Will go back in a few years and will definitely use Bison Safaris. Highly recommend!

Carol organised a trip of a life time that exceeded our expectations- awesome
From the first moment that we contacted Carol, she impressed us, her communication which was spot on, a lot of other companies can learn from her professional approach. She listened to what we were looking for and suggested a fabulous itinerary, which went above and beyond that suggested by the big UK companies and for a much fairer price, and for us we hoped for any $ we paid for our trip would go to Uganda.
From the moment we landed in Uganda we were looked after and made to feel special and looked after, from the welcome and flowers on our dinner table on our first night to the fabulous guide Richard, with whom we spent 9 days. Richard, our guide was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, good company and informative, he guided and looked after us keen to ensure that the trip met our expectations, it exceeded them! Carol’s attention to detail was evident, my husband loves birds and Richard guides bird safaris so was able to point out and provide information on all the birds we saw of which they are over 600 species in Uganda. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see not only the big 5 at close quarters, but the Uganda Cob, Water Butt, wart hog, Hippo, Rhino and so many more. The chimp trekking was magical, we were lucky as a mum and baby, came down from the tree and sat with us for a few minutes almost showing off her baby, all the more special as it was Mother’s Day. The gorilla trekking was breath taking and it felt a real privilege to spend time with them in Kibale Impenetrable Forest. The animal high lights, were spotting two lionesses on the hunt on a night safari, being woken at 5.15 by an elephant snoring outside our lodge, then a stand off between a lion and buffalo, the chimps and gorillas, in fact there were too many.
The lodges we stayed in were all very different in character which added to the trip, in each the staff bent over themselves to make you feel welcome, the food on offer was always delicious and varied, the beds comfortable always 5*.
The Ugandan people without exception were friendly and welcoming and as interested in us as we were in them, the majority of Ugandans are leading very very simple lives, that we westerners were living at least 150 years ago and we lead very different lives that neither can comprehend, yet still they smiled and waved welcoming us.
Ugandan scenery is stunning, varying from lush green to savanna and everything in between and the trip gorilla link had organised ensured we got to see all the beautiful gems along the way.
Carol organised a fabulous tour for us and if we go back to Uganda I’d have no hesitation to ask Carol to look after us, as that’s exactly what she did. 10* from us.

Worst experience ever, zero competent, zero respect to me, just for the money and tips
One star is for the animals! Don’t book with them, the worst tour guide ever!! The good reviews here are very short, most just says they are nice people, that’s not competent for a guide, you need an experienced guide to know where animals are. OMG where do I even start:
1> the tour guide Joseph, worst guide ever, he’s not even a descent human being. He’s constantly on the phone, talking to others, others calling him, and when we stop I take pictures of animals, he takes out his notebook, either writing down something or on the phone. First I thought he’s talking to others to know where animals are, so I asked him. He said no, he’s clearly doing something else on this side.
2> his knowledge for animal is just non-exist! He doesn’t know what the big 5s are, doesn’t know where cheetah is, he drives to the same area everyday. And you would expect a tour guide tell you a little history about the park, different animals, etc. NOPE, absolutely nothing, he drives quietly and when we see animals he stops, let me take pictures, go.
3> we would spend hours in the car just Joseph and I and there’s no talking at all! Can you believe it! And it’s becoming very awkward so one time I tried to make a conversation, so I asked him “hey what brand of phone people use here in Kenya?”, he goes, “oh you Americans use iPhone! You are rich!”, I was like errr no everyone uses iPhone it’s very common there, carriers give deals, you can get a 24 months contract for a phone. Do you know what he said, he goes "you should sign up for a new contract and give me your phone!" wow wordless… unbelievable. Another time, I told him I want to see cheetah, he goes “cheetah are hard to see, I want $100 tips if we see cheetah.” WOW after that I gave up, i dont want to talk to him at all.
4> and on the last day, his car broke. smoke came out of the engine, we wasted half day staying in a lodge fixing his car
4 days I spent in Kenya, didnt see much at all. last day, we finally found 2 cheetah, this guy refuse to stay longer because he wants to stay under the shade. and he doesnt want to move closer because he wants to stay under the shade.
I can go on, and on. this company and this tourguide ruined my Kenya experience. Please stay away! i will post the same review on other Safari platforms. I hope more people can see it. It’s not a cheap trip, please choose wisely!!

It was absolutely fantastic..
The best experience i had in my life. A dream i never thought will become true especially when we were meters away from the cheetah preparing to hunt the gazelle and we witnessed the whole operation just 10 meters away thanks to the best nice guide LETHASO. We have seen the big five only the lion could not see it but the cheetah seen was like you are watching NATGEO in real life. But it is all about luck. I highly recommend this agency
