Incredible experience
5/5

Nicholas was ALWAYS available to answer, and assist with, any and all of our questions and concerns! The service we received from him was excellent!

Patrick was a great guide, very informative and easy to understand and travel with. He helped to make those long drives as enjoyable as possible and went out of his way to accommodate o ur needs.

We had a great experience in Kibale and our guide Jessica was fun and professional. She explained things and assisted us through our journey with the chimps.

Our adventure in Bwindi with the gorillas was also a once in a lifetime experience, but I was disappointed in the guides. Not once did they offer an assist, or helping hand, as we trekked through the mud and hilly terrain. Several times we had to call out to them, because we weren't sure which path to follow. They were not informative or very friendly. Aside from that, this was still an awesome adventure!

Our walk to the village in Rwanda was very nice, as was our tour in the city. Our visit to the Rwanda Genocide Memorial was memorable and informative. All of our accomodations were great, especially in Rwanda!

If I were to do it again, I would do my homework better and try to avoid so much travel time each day. I didn't realize how many hours we would be spending in the car. An extra couple of days would definitely have made this trip even better!

Thanks Rwandagorilla, aka Gorilla Trek Africa, for a superb adventure!

The best choice of who to trust to guide your safari! Africa VIP Travel
5/5

My wife and I decided to take the trip that we would would take over any other. This would be the trip of our lifetime. The choice of where to go was actually very easy - an African Safari. We love the outdoors, live our lives as conservationists and love animals. That choice was the easy part. The harder choice was how to choose our guide and trip organizer. As we searched the internet the choices became overwhelming. The price ranges were all over the place. There were trips all over Africa. There were large companies, small companies, trip brokers and so much information that we became overwhelmed.

In talking about our desired trip with others, we found someone who solved that problem for us. He and his family had taken a safari last year with Africa VIP Travel based on a recommendation of someone who had also been very happy with them. He said we could trust them, they were wonderful people, paid attention to all of their needs and were experts at what they do.

They were right in all of what they said! We started email conversation with the company owner, Kambona six months before we would take the trip. He guided us through an understanding of what was involved and what arrangements would best meet our needs. Over six months he answered all of our questions and concerns, made us feel like he really cared about us and seemed as excited to be our guide as we were about going to Africa.

Here is a list of why our dream came true and how Kambona and his brother James made that possible.

1. Kambona and James are Maasai and are able to express what the culture is like through their life experiences. This was more than a trip to see animals, this became a trip to experience Tanzanian culture and learn its history.
2. They know where to go to see all the animals, the animal behaviors, and freely shared their knowledge with us in comfortable conversation. They are easy to understand, have a great sense of humor and made us feel very comfortable.
3. They never seem to get tired! They worked hard at meeting our needs and went as long as we could every day. They paid attention to safety and respected the animals and their environment.
4. The lodges and tent camps were excellent and met our needs after exhausting wonderful days.
5. We are amateur photographers, and they positioned the vehicle and moved it based on our needs for the best view and lighting conditions.
6. The price was right - saving us a significant amount compared to larger companies with more overhead. I truly believe that we received more value than we would have with larger more well known companies.
7. More than anything else - they can be trusted and are wonderful people!

Invaluable advice and recommendations coupled with great service led to an amazing trip.
5/5

Ute from Roho Ya Chui offers a very friendly, pro-active and personalised service and during the course of our communication developed a very good feel for what we are looking for which enabled her to personalise our trip to our wishes.
Ute put a lot of effort into getting the most out of our budget, her knowledge of the camps and regions was very good, one can tell she has actually been to the areas. All the communication was very friendly, fast and efficient. Roho Ya Chui was very caring for us throughout the journey and the 'after the trip' service we received from Roho Ya Chui was as good as the 'before the trip' service.
Roho Ya Chui was recommended to us by a friend and after our experience with Ute we would be more than happy to recommend her service to everyone else.

True African Experience
5/5

I completed this "out of this world" 12 day Safari trip to Namibia with a formidable guide named Phillip. He came highly recommended from a friend that had done the same trip earlier on. Well, he didn't disappoint! It felt like I was on a National Geographic or Discovery Travel trip. Phillip's in-depth knowledge on the animal and bird life is something that you can only dream of and I mention this because I have been on a couple of safari's before where I knew more than my guide. There was so much that I wanted to see on this trip and from the first day it became obvious that my dreams were going to become reality. The right balance of a true safari experience in this rugged environment was just magnificent. By day 5 Phillip found us, what seems to be a rare experience, the much talked about, desert elephants that were trekking through the mountains. I cannot explain what it felt like to see this herd, with babies, on the way to find water. The bird watching, if you are into that, will not disappoint. Once again, the experience that Phillip has will excite event the most experienced of nature lovers, photographers and bird watchers out there. He took his time and stopped so that we could all get the photo's that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Whatever we asked of Phillip, he produced. The accommodation that Phillip organised throughout our entire trip was a true reflection of Africa and the luxuries it has to offer. He had a personal relationship with the lodge owners which made our stay even more memorable. All I can say is, that if you haven't done this tour yet, you should add this to your bucket list!

Thank you Savannah Explorers
5/5

Me and my wife were guests of Savannah Explorers this January, from 16 to 24. Our tour included a visit to Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Park around Mount Meru. The organization of the safari was flawless until the beginning, when we had the first contacts with Roberto, who has met our every question and doubt about the trip. Our local guide, Abdul, was very kind and patient, as well as prepared in his work. Thanks to him and to his knowledge of the area, the habits of animals we could see all the Big Five. The choice of accomodations was perfect, especially we remember the tented camp in the middle of the Serengeti plains. It 'was a unique and wonderful experience, and in the future, when we'll return in Tanzania, our reference point will once again Savannah Explorers.
Thanks for everythings.

The best planning for Gorillas in Rwanda
5/5

We planned our tour to see the gorillas in Rwanda and this young lady Christina was ever so helpful. Well, it was a short 3 days trip to the volcanoes and it was the two of us. What really surprised us more and more was the the guide that we were assigned to have for the trip. Kirenga was the best guide we have ever met on any tour.
He was patience, very knowledgeable and ever so friendly. Some of the activities we did were not even on our bucket list. We would really recommend that you plan all your Rwanda trips with Destination Jungle. It has real value for your money. Thank you kirenga and Christina for making our tour much memorable.

Experience of a lifetime
5/5

We cannot say enough great things about the tour and experience that Kambona put together for us. Kambona was highly recommended by a close family friend who has hiked Kili and gone on safari many times with Kambona. What you need to know about Kambona is that he has been hiking/guiding for over 15 years, is highly respected in his field, highly educated in outdoor recreation/safety, and just knows his stuff. And you don't want to mess around with amateurs when you are hiking a dangerous mountain/camping in the bush with wild animals. We weren't interested in hiking and turned to Kambona to plan the trip of a lifetime to Arusha, Safari, Dar and Zanzibar. We highly recommend asking Kambona to set up a private camp site for you in the Serengheti where you sleep under the stars and listen to animals. It was amazing and the food was incredible. Kambona plans every detail, is extremely responsive from thousands of miles away, and is trustworthy. We cannot say enough about Kambona's skills, knowledge and character. We are happy to now call him a friend.
