Best price, professionalism and support
5/5

We had a great experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Everything was as promised by the Serengeti Smile, the Safari tour was amazing and the best price among others.
Our guide (Fadhil David) was a great guy, pleasant and very experienced, and could spot all possible animals in Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
Many many thanks from your Greek friends!

Moses Yohanes is an excellent Kilimanjaro guide
5/5

My wife and I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro (Lemosho route) in 2021 with Moses Yohanes as our chief guide, and highly recommend him.

He, and the rest of the crew, did everything they were supposed to do, and that you expect them to do, but they also did a lot of other - sometimes small, but nonetheless very important stuff - that went above and beyond, and showed us that they have a lot of experience with this.

Just as an example, after one or two days, two of the Porters waited for us 15 minutes before camp, and carried our daypacks the last bit. It sounds like a ridiculously small thing, but seeing them there in the distance, and knowing that another days trek was almost over, gave us a big boost.

And every day, when the porters walked past us with all the heavy equipment, they were chatting, smiling, laughing and joking (even while climbing Baranco Wall) which forced us to not feel sorry for ourselves when we were tired and our small daypacks felt heavy.

Most important was our two guides, Moses (Chief) and Aloyce (Assistant), who we spent a lot of time with. Both on the trek, telling us about the mountain, the flora, the fauna, and in camp at night telling us about life, history, culture, politics of Tanzania.

Moses was very serious about the preparations (briefing, equipment, clothing etc) which made us feel safe, and Aloyce was whistling/singing and taking small dance-steps while trekking, which made the long hours of walking a lot more enjoyable.

I was amazed at how much physical strength but also mental power our guides had. They were constantly observing us closely, monitoring our pace, reminding us to sip water, warning about slippery paths, rocks you could hit your head/knee on, etc. And if our foot slipped, a hand was quickly there to support.

We only had to concentrate on breathing and walking, and admiring the beautiful scenery.

It is so amazing up there, with the glacier, the crater, the ice, the view below and over to Mt Meru. I am so happy we had time to see and enjoy it all, as we slowly made our way to the peak, while Moses captured the incredible moment for us on video with my mobile.

We hope a lot more climbers will benefit from having Moses to guide them.

Well organised, professionals, amazing safari experience
5/5

Great trip! We booked everything with Serengeti Smile, flights, accomodation, transfers from/to airport and everything was above our expectations. Many thanks to Albert for organising our trip up to the last detail and answering all our questions. The proposed lodges were amazing. Our safari guide, Fadhil David, was the best! We saw the big 5 and many more animals thanks to him. Professional, with passion for his job and a very cool guy to be with!

An unforgettable journey where you're warmly welcomed and guaranteed to see all the animals.
5/5

My first trip to Africa with Hyrax Safaris was incredible. We went on a 3-day safari adventure, exploring Masai Mara for 2 days and Lake Nakuru for 1 day. Everything was smooth from the start, thanks to Emma from Hyrax, who was super helpful. Even when a small mistake came up in our plans, she fixed it quickly. Our driver, Benny, was amazing - really friendly and knew exactly where to find all kinds of animals.

I was a bit hesitant about booking through Safari Bookings rather than a local travel agent, but it turned out to be a great choice. Choosing a private tour with a 4x4 vehicle made our experience even better, allowing us to get up close to the action. During our safari, we saw all the animals we hoped for, enjoyed the stunning natural landscapes, and experienced so much more. Masai Mara was a highlight with its rich wildlife, while Lake Nakuru offered beautiful scenery, though fewer animals.

The only minor issues were a visit to a Masai Mara village that felt a bit too touristy and a short delay in getting into Lake Nakuru.

Despite that, Emma and Benny were fantastic, making sure our safari was unforgettable. If you're dreaming of an African safari that covers great nature, all the famous animals, and more, I highly recommend Hyrax Safaris.

It was an excellent and complete experience to travel with Zohar Safaris
5/5

Zohar Safaris arranged a complete safari experience including very interesting cultural experiences. The sites were amazing and we have seen the big five and more! The duration of our stay was 2,5 weeks and included several parks: Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Central Serengeti, Ndutu & Great Migration Camp and Ngorongoro Crater.
We had a wonderful driver/ guide (David), who knows a lot about the areas we visited and had many interesting stories and information about wildlife as well about living in Tanzania in general. My daughter and I love photography and a big advantage was that he knew how to position us when we wanted to take pictures. Guiding from Zohar safari was excellent and caring…..we love to go back one day!!

Great tour operator
5/5

My tour was well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. I was given a bespoke itinerary, which included a pickup in Rwanda. The guide was very knowledgeable, the lodges were nice and everything went according to plan.
The tour included gorilla and chimpanzee tracking as well as safari. Can highly recommend.

Beyond my expectations
5/5

Wow, dont know where to start. From first contact till the last day I can only say everything was just perfect. The contact with Edward from the office was very good, we talked about the best possible safari itinerary matching my wishes. I started the safari from Zanzibar and they arranged everything for me, a taxi from the hotel to airport of Zanzibar, tickets for flight, pickup at Arusha airport, the hotel booking before the start and at the end of the safari. But the most important ofcourse was the safari itself, I booked a 7 full day Safari and another Edward was the guide/driver. I can not describe in words how amazing it was. Every day felt like a dream, it was beyond my expectations, the nature, the drives, the knowledge of the guide, all accomodations and last but not least the animals we saw. We saw full big 5 and many more with a lot of times very close encounters. All accomodations were amazing, the hospitality was outstanding and the food always very tasteful with big variety.
I experienced so many magical moments I will never forget. So grateful and impressed of all that I have seen, had tears in my eyes when leaving the last parc and when saying goodbye to the guide. I can only say, if you think about booking at Amshar, please do! This was my second time I did a Safari so I can compare and this one was absolutely the best out of the two.
