From the Southern Circuit to the top of Kilimanjaro
5/5

Looking out at Kilimajaro from my hotel window this morning is like an otherworldly experience. Ben Jennings, the owner, was grilling me (as is his habit) last night about the service, food, if I was being pressured to summit. He's constantly improving, pushing to get better, and in all ways trying to take E-Trip Africa to another rung higher. My experience of them began back about June through a Trip Advisor referral and it's been top flight ever since. To keep this relatively short and sweet, the first thing that Ben does is spend a fair bit of time understanding- how much experience (this is my fifth trip to Africa) what do you want to do (adventure, out of the way, totally cool stuff, already saw the animals), and basically getting a sense of who you and what you want to spend. The parameters set, he gets to work. In no time I had some options that I grabbed: a camel trek, a Kili climb, and he was able to negotiate a trip to the Southern Circuit which fit my preference for fewer tourists and more bushcamp experience. Ben fought hard for me in terms of cutting costs, and I accommodated where I needed so it was a two way deal. On Kili, since I was going up solo, Ben sent me with his wife, who was excellent company.
The Kili trip deserves extra mention because this is his team. He has top flight guides, and a crew of porters and cooks together for six years. They earn a living wage so that they don't have to maneuver for tips, and that means they are happy, friends, and work well together. This makes for an excellent experience on the mountain for all involved. August, his top guide, and Ignas, the assistant guide, were fun and funny, but also highly attentive to medical issues, very focused on safety, extremely well informed, and when I had a knee go wonkers on the way down from the summit, they helped me down safely.
Contrary to popular lore, we got no hardboiled eggs on our plates. The food was flat out delicious. Ranik the cook spoiled us with his changeups every day and once he learned I loved his soups, I was treated every day with zucchini, leek, I can't recall them all, but I got every last drop out of the bowl, and begged for seconds and thirds.

I am already planning a month with E-Trip Africa in January 2015. From now on I will use them many times over.

We had a most amazing Namibia 4x4 adventure thanks to ATI's experience, help and support.
5/5

ATI's knowledge of Namibia & help in formulating our itinerary plus their attention to detail and support while we were on our holiday enabled us to have a most memorable adventure. The 4x4 vehicles and equipment supplied was good. We have no hesitation in recommending ATI.

Amazing Tanzania is well managed and gives you excellent advice to plan and organize your safari
5/5

I know Laura and Colin since many years and have full confidence in Amazing Tanzania to arrange my safaris, always living up to my expectations. They are very knowledgable about the country and wildlife. They have organized my safaris to my full satisfaction to different parks, especially to Ndutu where I like to stay and make it my base. I have been on safari to their campsite at Salei, with view to Oldoynio Lengai. You can go on walking safaris with their Massai guides, drive to the Rift, relax and stargaze around the camp fire.

Personal tour with an excellent and kind tour guide visiting beautiful lodges.
5/5

The tour was very personally organized right from the booking. During the tour our wishes were always fulfilled to full extent. The chosen lodges were personally and beautiful. Our tour guide Didi was very kind and not only did a very good job but really wanted to show us his wonderful country. The trip with Impala tours is totally recommendable and we say thank you again for this very nice holiday.

great day trip to the Lesedi Cultural center and Elephant Sanctuary
5/5

Michele was very responsive to my emails when helping to book a few day trips before our arrival to South Africa. Ben was a great guide and host for our day trip to the Lesedi Cultural center. The Elephant Sanctuary was fantastic. Themba Day Tours and Safaris did a wonderful job of picking us up at our hotel and taking my wife and I on two great day trips.

A safari with a difference in Tanzania
5/5

A safari with a difference is what we experienced with our guide/company owner, Brian Mengoriki of Ecological Wilderness Adventures.
I organised our safari online directly with Brian and his staff and I couldn't speak highly enough of their attention to detail and the prompt and efficient service provided during our dealing over the internet.

Nothing was ever too much for Brian, as we visited numerous reserves and parks in our quest to source wildlife. We saw every animal we had hoped to see along with 100's of birds.
Our time hunting with bushmen, joining a blacksmith along with his numerous wives and children - all added to this unique safari.

The varied accommodation was fantastic allowing us to experience all aspects of a memorable holiday - tree-top lodges, tented camps to luxurious lodges - it was great.

We will always remember our camp in the Serengetti sitting by a huge camp fire at night watching the stars, listening to the wildlife and chatting the hours away.

We couldn't speak highly enough of Brian Mengoriki and his staff at Ecological Wilderness Adventures who contributed to our most memorable & enjoyable African experience.

We can't wait to go back and revisit Tanzania.

Thanks you Brian and Ecological Wilderness Adventures for providing a safari we still talk about and revisit with family & friends.

Amazing big-five safari with close encounter of all of the big five animals.
Overall rating
5/5

Our trip to Idube Game Reserve was the best nature experience of our life. We came close to all big five animals: Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards and Lions. Male and female lions with cubs, Leopards with impala kill in threes, big buffalo herds, elephants few meters from our vehicle and many rhinos (one with a calve). Besides the big five animals we saw crocodiles up close (on foot), hippos, giraffes fighting, Wild dogs trying to steal a leopard kill and much much more.
The vegetation was very dry due to the time of the year and the weather was cold in the morning but very nice during most of the day; not too warm. Our guides handed out warm blankets and hot-water bags to keep warm in the morning. The ranger and tracker were very kind and you could feel that they wanted to give us the best experience possible. They answered all questions perfectly and were good to ask us what we wanted to see. We stayed at the Idube Game Lodge which had all we could have hoped for: Nice people, good food, luxury chalets. Animals such as Nyalas and warthogs walked freely inside the lodge which made the atmosphere inside the lodge just perfect.
This was a trip we will never forget and we hope to come back more than once!

Review about South Africa by Mads Fredslund Andersen
Overall rating
5/5

The wildlife was better than we hoped for and we had close encounters with almost all the animals we had set up to see. The diversity of the landscape was beautiful. We went to the Drakens Mountains were we drove around in rain forest, different fruit plantations and big water falls one day and the next we looked at wild animals in a national park. The only thing missing on our trip was animals on a large savannah with few bushed and threes.

A Magical Time to Remember
5/5

UNIGLOBE Let's Go Travel came on as our official partner for the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference. Working with them was an absolute pleasure. They bent over backwards to help our attendees and our staff to make our conference a success. Everyone who went on outing only had great things to say.

I myself had the opportunity to go on a couple adventures through LGT. First, our amazing driver Peter took us on an adventure to Nairobi National Park. He is very knowledgeable about the area, the history, and the flora and fauna of Kenya. Then a bit later we were able to visit Laikipia by staying at the Portini Rhino Camp. Everything was perfect. I loved the camp, I loved the wind blowing through my hair on safari. I loved learning about the Maasi culture and I loved how easy LGT made it to have an amazing time. Next time I go to Kenya, there would be no question, I would definitely travel through them again!
