Another wonderful Masihambe experienc
5/5

Wonderful itinerary, accommodation, can't say enough. From top lodge accommodation, to top permanent tent sites.
from Windhoek back to Windhoek with amazing inland coastal , back to inland and Safari experiences. Our expectations were far surpassed, in fact we loved a country we'd barely heard about. The variety of activities on a daily basis were incredible, every day a wonderful experience. the knowledge of the guide was amazing, his knowledge of so many things and places , and wildlife enhanced the tour.
our third Masihambe trip, each one fabulous.

First Ms. Denise has bees super nice replying to all the question by email and real time by whatsapp!!Oscar is a senior guide with unique experience in driving and spot animals and location!!! Ken and Sec provided a 5 star camping and a really delicious food making our stays very comfortable. extraordinary safari experience
5/5

Had a wonderful safari experience arranged by seven by far tours. Right from the start the communication from sylvester was prompt, helpful and accurate. I had a complicated itinerary and he helped put it all together with ease. All of the arrangements worked perfectly including the safari in Tanzania with their partner world tours. Great guides Hassan and Cosmos really helped make the trip come alive. Would recommend using this tour company without hesitation! Thank you for a wonderful trip!!

Impressed beyond belief- by our agent Kerry and our customised tour!
5/5

For 8 months I was in regular contact with Kerry at Pembury Tours. I was looking at booking a trip to South Africa and to Victoria Falls. She was always very punctual in responding to my emails and answering every question. Her communication skills are great! Kerry asked me some great questions to make sure we were getting our trip of a lifetime. In fact, I told her about my passion for elephants and she recommended an orphanage we could visit, which was excellent. Kerry was always professional and shared my enthusiasm for this holiday throughout the months. I was impressed beyond belief at her attention to detail. She never missed a beat and took the stress out of our holiday. She organised all our transfers in Cape Town, to our private reserve in Sabi Sands and then again in Zambia. Everyone we met representing Pembury Tours along the way was wonderful. We were given a full itinerary upon arrival which included great information about all our stops along the way. Kerry even notified us about the low water level at Victoria Falls in Zambia before leaving for our holiday and this allowed us to be prepared to get the necessary visa to visit the Falls in Zimbabwe. She really thinks of everything! I would recommend Pembury Tours to anyone looking to have a stress free holiday that meets all their expectations. I have no doubt my husband and I will be doing another safari in the future and we will be sure to contact Kerry and tell all our friends about her and the wonderful company she works for. You are doing something right! Thank you for this amazing trip.

African Ubuntu Safaris delivers 28 days of 5 star experience in Southern / Central Africa
5/5

Two years ago we had joined safaris in Kenya and Tanzania so we were looking for something different. Our thanks to Cuan McLaren of African Ubuntu Safaris who put together an itinerary for us that show-cased Botswana (Chobe River, Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park), Rwanda (Kigali and the Volcanoes Mountain Park), together with the scenery of Victoria Falls and South Africa's Garden Route... Not just spectacular experiences in a variety of different places but seamless transition between each. At no stage were we in limbo wondering if there would be a "hiccup" as we passed from one operator to the next. Cuan knows his stuff and selected venues and operators who wouldn't let us down. His father (Gerald) even met us at Johburg airport and escorted us to our hotel and looked after our hard suitcases as we transferred safari gear to the soft duffels required for the light aircraft links between safari camps; and then met us on return to retrieve our suitcases. A nice personal touch (and a very nice gentleman too). So, the design of the itinerary was excellent. Now to the individual places and our experiences:
1. Johannesburg - a visit to the Journey to Freedom museum and township of Soweto. Well worth doing to understand the background of apartheid and the struggle that saw the eventual rise of Nelson Mandela... And also a break to get ready for the next stages of our trip
2. Victoria Falls - we stayed for 2 nights on the Zimbabwean side at the Victoria Falls hotel (old world hospitality and charm with impeccable service; and our room overlooked the Falls bridge!)
3. At Chobe River we stayed for 2 nights on a houseboat (capacity 4 couples) and went out on a small boat each day for river-based sorties where we saw a huge variety of wildlife from the entirely different perspective of being at river level. Being at eye-level with crocodiles and hippos was a new experience for us and our photos of elephants at sunset were pure magic. One morning we opened our bedroom window to watch a family of elephants swim from Botswana to Namibia a few meters from us... Also lots of bird life and elephants as well as lions, a giraffe or two, warthogs, buffalo and more... Great staff on the houseboat, good food (how did they do that?) and a very competent guide...
4. After a flight from Kasane by light aircraft we were in Pom Pom Camp on the Okavango delta for 3 nights. This camp has maximum capacity for 24 guests. The "tents" have all modern conveniences and all face onto a lagoon where hippos frolic. No shortage of wildlife (lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, birds...) this camp offers both water-based and land-based outings. The trackers are excellent and the camp staff are friendly and professional. We were very impressed. No complaints about food or hospitality either.
5. Another flight by light aircraft took us to Savute Safari Lodge for 3 nights and we were in an entirely different environment - open plains, herds of elephants, sightings of three different leopards (very elusive but the trackers found them and we took some great photos). We also saw two packs of African Hunting Dogs and a wide variety of bird life. In the Savute channel we came across a pride of 11 lions devouring a recent kill. The lodge staff were first-class (drivers, trackers, housekeepers, catering); great accommodation in individual lodges with maximum of 24 guests; great food and hospitality.
6. Our next stop was Kigali in Rwanda (after an overnight stopover back in Johburg). We visited the Genocide Museum (very sad and thought-provoking) before being driven out to the Volcanoes National Park to join a gorilla trek the following day. Our visit to the gorilla family of Titus the silverback was amazing and we are already planning to return to see another gorilla family. The guides, trackers and porters are all very competent at what they do and also very friendly. A great experience. The next day we did a similar trek in to see the Golden Monkeys. Very worth while. In both cases you can only spend an hour with the animals but that is enough time to get close and take some great photos... or just enjoy the moment! We stayed at the Gorilla Mountain Lodge for 2 nights (ask for a cottage - much nicer than the impersonal motel style accommodation)...
7. After Rwanda we returned to Johburg and after an overnight at the airport hotel (modern and comfortable) onwards to Cape Town for 3 nights before our Garden Route tour. We spent a afternoon up on Table Mountain and a large part of the following day at the Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens - both most enjoyable. We also spent many hours wandering around the scenic Victoria and Albert waterfront area.
8. Finally the 5 night Garden Route tour (operated by Thompsons).. Our guide Alex was superb (extremely knowledgable and easy-going). We joined a small group and proceeded by mini-bus from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Gardens, wineries, penguins, ostrich farm, whales, scenery, etc... Good accommodation each night and in the case of Laird Lodge (just beyond Knysna) 5 stars! Well worth doing with lots of good memories... This was our second venture into Africa and definitely not our last.

Very knowledgable, and professional company. Listened to our brief and created an amazing itinerary.
5/5

Our African Safari was an amazing holiday thanks to the planning done by Encompass Africa. The guiding company (Wayo) they are associated with and the accommodation they booked for us in four different camps was of a very high standard. Our itinerary also offered the diversity we required (culture, game driving, variety of different landscapes etc) when travelling with three children as well as ensuring we were taken care for when transferring through the airports to our hotels before arriving in Tanzania. There was not a day on our safari that we would of changed and this was also attributed by our fantastic guide Alloyce.

Someone you can trust completely
4/5

We were planning to go on a hoiday on our 1st wedding anniversary and we chose Masai Mara. While contacting several Operators, the one who has promptly responded and offered us the best rates was Peter from Flash Mc Tours. He's given us more that what he promised. The best accommodation at the least price.

At first, we were worried since Peter didn't show up at the airport, but soon he reached and apologized. He also took us to the Giraffe Centre since we had an evening at Nairobi. He is a great person, completely reliable. If you do not know anything about where you want to go or stay, he would definitely suggest one and take you there all by himself, and undoubtedly it would be the best.

Although we asked for a Camp before going to Kenya, he chose to give us a better option the moment we told him it was our 1st wedding anniversary. He also suggested that we take a private safari and offered a good price for it.

We spotted almost all the animals: Zebras, Giraffes, Wildebeests, Buffaloes, Lionesses, Cheetahs, Leopard, Topi, Ostriches, Elands, Water Bucks etc. We were slightly disappointed for not finding the Lion and Black Rhino. Since the hotel we stayed was far from animals, the time wasn't sufficient for the Safari. We lost a lot of our time in travelling to the hotel.

Learnings:
1. Talk to you Guide before you start, Make sure the Operator, you and the Guide are all on one page before you leave for the Safari.
2. If you are there for animals, choose accommodation inside the park which has them. If you want privacy, you may choose to stay away. Animals are everywhere anyway, it is only their density that varies.
3. A Safari at Masai Mara requires 2 full days to have a great experience

If at all you face any issues throughout your tour "Hakunamatata! Peter is there". We highly recommend him and will choose him every time we want to visit Kenya.

Unforgettable Safari experience (Arusha NP - Tarangire NP - Serengeti NP - Ngorongoro Conserv Area)
5/5

After the first email contact Magda sent us a preliminary programme of our safari, which she then tailored to our wishes. Every time she almost instantly answered all of our questions. When we arrived at Kilimanjaro airport she and Edward picked us up personally, which was great, especially since we arrived in the evening. The next day we met our driver/guide Melek. What a fantastic guy! He drove carefully and learned us so much about Tanzania, Masai, the animals and nature. He even made sure we could take the perfect picture by pointing out the perfect spots and locating the jeep in the right place. When we wanted to see the crossing of the wildebeast in the Northern part of the Serengeti Melek went out of his way to find it for us. And he did! Thanks to him we were able to watch it from a number 1 spot.
All of our accomodations were just amazing. Every time we were welcomed with open arms without registration hassles. Really perfectly organised! The staff allways did their best to make it an unforgettable experience for us.
When we went back to Arusha airport for our flight to Zanzibar Magda and Edward came to say farewell. Edward even checked if the booking of our flight (which we arranged ourselves) was okay before he would leave. They also arranged a cab for us at Zanzibar airport to transport us to the hotel (which we also arranged ourselves).
I can only say we had a great experience booking/travelling with Flash Safaris. We loved their personal approach and would definitely recommend their agency to our friends and relatives, without a doubt!
