Tanzania Explorer is professional in a friendly way in both planning and implementation.
5/5

In january 2020 my husband and I went by car from Dar-Mikumi-Udzungwa/ Sanje waterfalls-Iringa/ Isimila Stone Age Site – Ruaha, then by plane to Zanzibar – Michamvi beach – Stonetown, and then by ferry back to Dar. When planning the trip we got good recommendations from Tanzania Explorer both by email and personal contact. The website has also a lot of relevant information. We were recommended to go by Tanzania Explorer by familymembers. The trip turned out to be composed in an exciting way, full of new experiences and nice places to stay around the next corner. From arriving at the airport till we left 17 days later we were taken very well care of by the friendly and professional staff of Tanzania Explorer. We felt really safe and relaxed, and the company has a well-developed system for reporting where we are at all times in case anything would happen.
Our purpose of visiting three national parks was that we wanted to experience the African animals in the wilderness and in their natural habitats, and we really did. We were enthusiastic by travelling with the head safariguide Sam, who all the way delivered more than expected. He is a safe driver, hard-working, professional, with exceptional eyes for spotting animals. He shared with us a lot of knowledge about the life of the animals. Sam is really good communicating with people and has a fantastic sense of humor. Travelling along the roads between the park gave us a lot of questions of how people are living in the rural areas. Sam answered patiently and we had good talks about everything from sugarplantations, bananas, social conditions, fueltransportation to lions behavior, geology and trees at the savanna. Thanks for opening our minds!
The waking safaris with fun and clever guides in Udzungwa and Roaha were very interesting. The guides had great skills in biology. Also the archeological trip in Ismila was very interesting – and looking at the Tanzanian answer to Kvitskriuprestein.
At Zanzibar Banja took care of us, and we had relaxing days at Michamvi beach before we spent the last two days in Stonetown. We went by boat to Prison Island, and walked in Stonetown where the Slavemarket really touched us. Hotel Emerson was fantastic with its roofterrace with the beautiful sunset. Zanzibar is an island with big contrasts.
The safaripart of the trip was our favorite and it’s like when you’ve been there you want to go back on safari again, because you know that there is much more to see. We would like to go by Tanzania Explorer again.

Thank you very much for the outstanding service and safari experience. A wonderful time was had and has prompted me to place another trip to Kenya and experience another Safari. The professional service which Eric provided was super. His ability to navigate the roadways and provide opportunity to see the wild animals. And with a pleasant smile on his face. A true professional and a fine man. Will be returning for another safari adventure!

5/5

Our guides were excellent and responsive to our requests. They took great care of us and answered all our questions and pointed out sites along the way. They were so thoughtful and great ambassadors for their country. The safaris were fantastic and I will forever have fond memories of Moses, Godfrey and John. Accommodations were wonderful as was the food.

Reny made a trip just for us.
5/5

They provided much more than just a safari. The team of Regina, Francis, and David were all wonderful. Our group enjoyed pre safari time on the coast south of Mombasa. The resort and amenities were very relaxing. Relaxing done, it was time to meet our driver David who would drive and guide for us as we visited five of the major parks. David's knowledge of the wildlife was extensive and thorough. Just as importantly he provided us many hours of knowledge about the country and the people. The accommodations and the food were very good. The lodging near the parks were very important for early morning trips and on site viewing of wildlife. Planning well in advance and understanding your own desires of what to see and experience are very important to know while you are planning your trip. Reny Safaris did an excellent job of helping us to see and experience what we desired.

About: Botswana
Amazing price for value!
Overall rating
5/5

Probably the most amazing week of my life!

About safari in Botswana: it is a bit more expensive than e.g. Kenya but therefor you are not one of a billion vehicles surrounding the animals. I really appreciated the sustainable way they are dealing with the animals and the tourism.

Animals: we saw maybe a hundred giraffes, up to 200 elephants, 25 lions, ... all of them with babies, never would have dreamed of seeing so many! Note: we were in rainy season, you can google the differences.

About Tony / our guide:
Besides Tony there is another guide in the company called Vincent who was responsible for us. He was able to tell a lot about animal behavior, made us feel safe and it was always a laugh. Really cool guy, I really liked him!

Price:
Compared to staying in lodges (excluding those with privates reserves which are way in a different price league) you will see the same animals as everyone is doing their game drives in the same area of the park. The reason his offers are much cheaper is (as far as I can guess) due to being camping instead of staying at a fancy lodge. I didn’t mind it in any way as it made the trip so much more intense.

Staying in the bush:
For the camping we did go for the ‘luxury version’ which allows you to go toilet at night and gives you more time to relax. The latter was appreciated by all of us due to having to take in all the impressions.
The food was basic but well prepared. So there is nothing wrong with some good Spaghetti Bolognese, most food was actually really good.
The car was in a very good condition. I think up to 5-6 persons per car is comfortable, though Vincent said they usually don’t take more than 5 anyway.

About: Namibia
Most wonderful , exciting and adventurous 10 day Tour of Namibia
Overall rating
5/5

The tour company was very fast and efficient in communicating and arranging all our bookings. We were happy with most of the accommodation which were clean and comfortable. The weather was very hot but fortunately we travelled in a fully air conditioned vehicle so it was fine. Breakfast and dinner was included so we only had to purchase lunch which was very good. The scenic beauty in Sossusvlei in the desert was amazing. The highlight for me was climbing up the dunes and enjoying seeing all of the big 5 animals on all 3 nights spent in Esosha. The tour guide Rambo was extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile to please us. We spent 2 nights in Damaraland and learnt about the indigenous Himba tribe. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Namibia and highly recommend wild Wind Safaris as an excellent tour operator.

An Experience Of A Lifetime
5/5

I booked our recent 6 days safari with Migration Venture Africa after comparing their safari prices with other companies. I contacted Amos and he was easy to work with and made us a great itinerary.
Thomas our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. He took excellent care of my family teaching us about African culture, wildlife and nature. We saw very many animals every day on the game drives and also some when we went back to camp/lodge. Their choice of accoms were perfect and suited us perfectly.
I can definitely say that we had an experience of a lifetime.
