Wonderful
The communications were good, the service also. All the people in the camp were very kind.
Drive Tanzania is an extremely efficient and well-organised tour operator. We booked the 7 Day holiday with them and are glad that we did so. Their superb communication & extraordinary service allowed us to be confident and excited. Everything was as per the schedule. The guide was informative, polite and helpful and made us feel relaxed in his company. The itinerary was well thought through and we had many excellent experiences. It was a wonderful trip with one of the best memories of my life!
Kilimanjaro Trek
Had a wonderful experience climbing Kilimanjaro with Chacha and his team, they were very supportive and ensured it was both fun and safe! We really couldn't have summit-ted without them!
Tarangeri and Ngorongoro crater
I dont usually write reviews but will take an exception for Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris . The guide and driver very friendly and knowledgeable about natural sciences and gave good information to the non knowledgeable. Also the accommodation for multiple days worked very well for me. So in a few words I want to recommend fully and honestly for a chance to check a wish from your bucket list :)

A great personalized tour of Masai Mara
We had a great trip, our guide Ken was very knowledgeable. He picked this up in the city at our hotel and served as our guide in the park as well. He is a great tracker and we had a great time. We would definitely recommend this service.

Relaxed, hassle free booking.....awesome knowledgeable safari guide......great cook
Communication with Andrew in arranging the safari was rwally goid. We had lots of littl, irritating questions that he always took time to answer.
Our guide and cook were great especially with our two young kids.
We clocked up 4 of the big 5 in our first day (!) and always returned to camp to find a great meal waiting for us.

Wonderful safari experience at Ngorongoro and Manyara national parks
My friend and I had a two day safari which was such a brilliant experience, much of it due to the care that ilmasaai takes in organizing everything. The drive was nice, and Bryson (?), our driver, was quite patient with us and our constant need to photograph every monkey or bird we saw (or when we freaked out about any of the big 5). He drove us around to all the locations where he thought we woudl get to see more wildlife and was also quick in spotting a lot of these tiny, miniature, camouflaged animals. Moreover, he was a treasuretrove of information on everything Tanzania.
We also had delicious food that was prepared fresh by Usman, our cook, and he took care of my specific eating preferences as well (no beef or pork). I thought that was very considerate of them.
In the end, when we were done with out safari and were waiting to grab the ride to the airport, Katherine, the daughter of Loth was very nice and took us around the Arusha (the main sites are basically a 5 minute walk from each other).
I liked the personal feeling I got from these guys. They tried to make the journey as pleasant for us as possible (given the hectic schedule we had planned for ourselves), and the whole two days were extremely fun. Moreover, unlike several of the other places that we also wrote to, they were reasonable in their price and gave us all that they described they were going to do. It did not feel like we were cheated here.
I think the only thing I was slightly unhappy about was the fact that we were put in a lodge for the one night, where I thought we were actually going to camp in the park itself. But I think that might have been because of several other circumstance.
Overall I loved this experience and would highly recommend ilmaasai. They are a small company but the care and attention they give you is much more and probably much better than with a big safari company.

Excellent service and great value
The two of us went on the 17 day safari by KWSS stretching from Nairobi To the Masai mara,Crossing into Tanzania and Exploring the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. From our research online, were pressed to find a trip a tour that covered this much in Kenya and Tanzania with comfort in acomodation that we were looking for.KWSS provided great value for money and they certainly delivered on their promise.
Their customer service was largely handled OT who was quick to respond, answer our many questions on itinerary and generally a very helpful and courteous person to interact with. Thus from a management perspective ,KWSS was able to meet our needs
We were lucky enough to meet SHEM , a professional and seasoned driver /guide in Kenya and David in Tanzania.Accomodation was at level of comfort we expected and booked. The Tented campsites in masai mara covered our essential needs at least. All meals were covered in the tour price and ranged from decent to delicious.we were happy with our safari as we had breathtaking experiences.
Lastly if you wish to enjoy your safari i would be happy to recommend KWSS as an operator that gives you great value for money with good people working them altogether delivering an excellent service

Very professional teams, Amazing planning, Amazing safari
We had a quite precise idea of what we wanted to do (Serengeti including wildebeest river migration, Tarangire, Ngorongoro), within 6 days.
We contacted ourselves around 20 agencies by email to ask for quotation.
Why we chose Shadows of Africa :
- Amazing reactivity all through the planning process
- One of the only 2 agencies that proposed to call us within short delay of time
- The platform is the best practice we saw for trip planning: user friendly, nice to look at, detailed and precise
- Very easy, friendly and clear discussions while arranging the trip
We also really appreciated to meet with the team before in the office, and got face to face explanations about what to bring with us, what we will see and few recommendations (our planning contact was Marjeta who has been very professional).
About the safari :
The experience has been better than expected.
We are very happy we chose to start by the North Serengeti, then go back, so the hotel got better and better all through the trip. and we had the chance to see many different type of landscapes.
Special mention to the Maramboi Tented Camp where everything was very good and surprising (staff, service, rooms, swimming pool, happy hour, food, animals very near, nice walk near the lake).
Alex (our driver) has been very good, safe and responsive to any our questions or inquiries.
It has been an amazing experience.
The price definitely worth it, and we appreciate the work done to meet all our requirements within affordable budget.
We will definitely recommend Shadows of Africa to our friends who expect to make a Tanzanian safari.

First amazing experience in Namibia, great !
Norelle is a great person (thank you for all!), with a lot of patience and a lot of suggestions about our holidays ! She gave us a lot of informations about the trip. and also she was available to solve a little problem encountered just when I reached Windhoek. The website is one of the most useful that I've visited.

A great experience
We had decided to do a guided private tour having read about the testing driving conditions on our route from Kasane to Maun. And despite having driven quite a lot around SA, Namibia and Mozambique I am glad we left it to the experts both for driving and spotting. And of course the remoter single group use bush camps are often only available to mobile safari operators.
The contact made via the Old Bridge Backpackers site was always prompt and dealt with in a professional manner. It was clear what we were expecting, what they planned to deliver, and what is would cost and all this worked exactly as agreed. We always opt for private tours as you never know what your accompanying guests will be like, whether it would be a first safari group who want to tick off the big5 or a more experienced group who want to spend more quality time on less sightings. At their prices, a private tour was within a good price range.
The tents were dome tents equipped with camp beds and matresses. A good size for the short amount of time you will spend in them. The drop toilet was as expected as was the bucket shower arrangement. You are going to be at bush camps after all, it’s what being in remoter parts is all about. And we were on single use camp sites, so only our tent and the one for our guides for miles around. We really didn’t see other people while at camps and only heard the sounds of the wild. And seeing the camp, just the Land Rover, trailer, a couple of tents and the table set up by the fire for dinner was delightful.
The only issue with the sites was the remoteness. At Savuti the site was about 10km from Savuti camp ground. Great that we were not near any other campers but the best game seemed nearer the camp area so we spent some time getting to there each day. Similarly for Moremi the camp site was at Second Bridge not Xini. The better wildlife was around Xini and we did have to spend an hour of our game drives moving towards that area and back again. If we traded the time spent to get to game in exchange from not being on a site with groups of campers I’d certainly agree with that. But there were private camp sites at Xini if not Savuti so this would have been better.
Letabo was a very good driver/guide of long experience went out of his way to find leopard several times, multiple lion with roan and sable and excellent elephant. The highlight was the pride of lions, six grown females with five cubs near xini which we enjoyed by ourselves for quite some time, the benefit of not having to accommodate other peoples wishes. And always informative as a guide and good company with chats over dinner.
Cook Chichero ( or similar sorry ) made great food always tasty mid day meals of salad base and three course dinners all made over the open fire including soup starters, fresh bread, wow the pork chops even peach cake for dessert one evening and really good all round food.
Overall in five days we have had better game volumes and sightings elsewhere. But for the sheer experience of being self sufficient in the bush and sitting under the stars with the sounds of the night for company it just can’t be done anywhere else.
